Ralphel looks toward Connor, then back to the board, "Yes that is correct. Kaiba challenged yugi to a duel outside the door to the castle. It's difficult to admit this...but Kaiba was near defeat when he had a idea...YES it is controversial what he did BUT i commend him on his quick thinking. to save his brother and his company he willingly put himself at risk to force yugi to quit the duel...if Atem had more control i'm sure none of us would be standing here at this school for Atem WANTED to go on with the attack and send Kaiba to his death. SO after his victory over Yugi Kaiba strolled in and challenged Pegasus to a duel unfortunealy he didnt use his duel disk and lost his soul."
He turns back to the class. "I'm surprised and disappointed that you didn't accept the blue blazer Connor...you would have made a great Blue-eyes...Ah well i'm sure you will see your mistake and join us."

Heero didn't like the way Ralphel was talking like his house was a cult or something...

[Drack]

I feel a little proud of myself for answering correctly, but realize Ralphel was most likely buttering me up to make me want to join him, well its a little to late for that now so I just shrug innocently and go back to my notes..

[Heero]

Ralphel looks towards the clock, "Well i'd say we have time for one more lesson today....Students just like yesturday please write down a number and submit it to the computer. you all know what to do then."

Heero thinks to himself for a bit before writing 5 down and submitting it.

Hirako writes 1 down and submits it.

[Drack]

I write down 23 and submit it

*writes 87 and submits it*

Alex pauses with a blank stare as he writes the number 22 and submits it.

[Oersted]

I write 34 and then submit it.

[Nexous]

I glare at Conner, and remain in my seat, not bothering to submit a number, muttering about red-eyesores the whole while.

[Heero]

@Class:
Ralphel picks a number and looks towards the class...then clicks on a device to bring a hologram of Kaiba to life with his trademark cocky smirk.

Kaiba points to Kiel, "You, You seem like worthy test for my new duel disk prototype! come down and face me!"

Ralphel then takes a duel disk prototype out of his desk as holds it out toward Kiel, "You heard the man!"

[Drack]

I feel a little disappointed at not being able to duel the holo-Kiba but I'm happy to finally see Kiel duel and see his skills, then look back and see Nathan glaring a hole through me and sigh and slump down in my seat "Great, the lie I told him about not turning down the blue-eyes rank yet just bit me in the rear....oh well I'll just have to deal with his temper tantrum later.."

After the Kaiba hologram appears I'm surprised to be challenged by it and look to the teacher who tells me to do it "Very well, I guess we'll do it the old way." I take the disk prototype from the teacher and ask "Anything I should know before we start? I'd rather not do something I'm not supposed to on accident."

(Depending on the answer Kiel might change his deck, and just to be sure, Drack is the duel DM now, right?)

"If you don't know how to use the duel disk then i'll let Kaiba inform you, otherwise good luck." Ralphel says taking a seat at his desk.

"The rules are simple.
Both players draw until they have 5 cards in their "hand". If they have 5 cards in their hand, they can't draw any more cards.
1 monster card is placed on the "Main card stage", the centre place on the disk.
The other 4 cards are placed face-down into the other places, the "Sub card stage".
The players can only attack with the monster in the main card stage, providing it is in Attack Position first. It can attack the opponent's main card stage monster or one of the sub stage cards.
Any monsters in the sub card stage are considered to be in Attack Position and damage calculation is done accordingly. Spell and Trap Cards are destroyed with no calculation done.
The players may shuffle their sub card stages at their discretion. Think you can handle that?"

I contune to stare at conner, trying to make his head explode with my mind.

Alex merely stared at this display with little to no interest, feeling bored more than anything else.

No that's the rules for the prototype duel disk i got them off yugioh wiki....besides i dont know what the expert mode is lol

(Yea, that's what its rulings were when I looked it up as well, though it the duel disk version one was used only like two times the anime, and also in the first movie so its easy to get confused...and I've never heard of expert mode as well, and couldn't find anything about it lol)

(In the manga Expert Mode is used to Duel Yugi. Kaiba's Duel wtih Joey using the Due Disk is way different.)

"Hm, sounds like fun, let's get to it then!" I smile "How about you go first, it'll give me a chance to see how it's done." I say to the hologram.

[Heero]

Kaiba smirks as he draws his hand. "Alright i set one monster in defense and place 3 cards in the sub-card zone." He then throws the disk into the duel area. "I End."
