Side Story: A Mid Autumn Night's Dream Part 1

*Whippe stands alone in the great hall inside the Demon Lord's palace, though her figure causing Whippe to feel uneasy, she is confident that she can make it through this.*

Demon Lord: So I see you finally accepted my request to have an audience with me, how many years has it been since I've heard about the famed Insect Queen, the Human who commands a vast army of Insect Mamono, all the while moving yourself into the place of their leaders. What is your goal in all of this? Power? Money? Fame? Speak human, lest you try my patience.

Whippe: *Swallowing hard* Yes, I have been busy these past view months with attacks on my Stronghold due to an over whelming amount of Order troops that try and attack and shake my followers. They have become a thorn in my side. About not coming to see you or even answering your letters I've had some trouble with demon kin before during my days as a human in this world, demons have left a troublesome scar inside of me that will never vanish. But I am glad that we get to finally have a talk.

Demon Lord: I do agree with you, it's been too long that we've been wanting to speak with you.

Whippe: *Slightly confused* We?

*The Demon Lord raises her left hand and snaps her fingers together once, causing a wooden door at the right side of the great hall to open. Whippe turned her head to see who or what this was, only to be greeted by the sight of five distinguished Mamono Nobles entered the room. Whippe was now more confused then ever at this as the Mamono Nobles stood at the either side of the Demon Lord. From right to left was a Yuki-Onna wearing a very fancy dress made with snow whites and icy blues, a Vampire wearing a divine ball gown with colors of dark red and black, a Salamander wearing a fiery slip of bright red and orange, a Shirohebi wearing lush white priestess robes, and a Jorogumo wearing a spider silk dress with a mix of dark blue and green colors.

Whippe: Um, Miss, I don't understand, who are these ladies?

Demon Lord: These ladies are Five of the Kingdom's princesses who have all showed attraction towards the famed Insect Queen. Melodia Nitilwind, A Yuki-Onna Princess. Eponine Stonewell, a Vampire Princess. Soraya Firebri, a Salamander Princess. Mimoze Quo, a Shirohebi Princess. Ingrid Hijiua, a Jorogumo Princess.

Whippe: *Still Confused* I still don't understand.

Demon Lord: I have taken it upon myself to find a proper suitor for you Madam Lash. You have till the end of the year to pick a future partner from the five before you. This is for your own good Miss Lash, to make sure you don't try to run I have told the guards to keep an eye on you and from this moment on, you are not to leave the Castle Grounds.

Whippe: *Shocked* W-What!?! You can't do this! This goes against everything!

Demon Lord: But it was you that gave me the power, don't you remember?

Night One: The Vampire Princess. Part 1

*Having spent the first week imprisoned in the Demon Lord's Palace, Whippe was finally able to relax in the bedroom that was appointed to her. With her back against the hard wood door she sunk to the floor with her head in her hands, the darkness of the room seemed to calm her shaky nerves. After the Demon Lord told her about her upcoming wedding she had spent the week avoiding the Demon Lord and the Five Princesses, not wanting to speak with them. Moving her hands from her face she let out a small sigh as she began to think about what was going on. Out of all of them, the one that scared her the most was Eponine Stonewell, the vampire. With a hard gulp she placed her palm on her neck, her body shaking at the thought of being bit.*

*In Whippe's past, when the days of her being the Number One Human Thief in this world she had seen many Vampires on her travels and tried her best not to get too close to them ever since that day. Three years ago, Whippe was contacted by a wealthy man to steal a very rare Violin from a Manor owned by a Vampire, since she didn't like Vampires due to her fear of being bit she would of refused but the gold was too good to pass up. Waiting until the peak hours of the night, she made her way into the Vampire's Manor, the building itself was a sight to behold, massive front windows and a huge castle like look to the whole place. Breaking in was always the easy part, having to pick locks always made her job more fun. Once inside the building she was glad to see no one was lurking around the halls but she had to be on her guard at all times.*

*As she passed through the first floor towards the main hallway she could hear the faint sounds of music coming from one of the rooms, moving her way over towards where the music was coming from she found a faint light coming from an open door, peeking her head to see into the room she was greeted with the soft hue of candle light that made the room bright but only enough. The room was pretty normal looking bedroom, more or less but one thing that made it stand out was a stone pillar that stood in the middle of the room. It stood about four feet high and had a light purple pillow that sat on it. Near the window was a young woman, her long flowing blonde hair seemed to dance with each hum the violin made. The woman was beautiful, her skin was lightly pale but it was hidden under the simple blue dress that the woman wore. This must be the vampire she though, playing her violin.*

*After watching her for some time, the vampire stopped her playing and set the musical instrument on the pillow before making her exit of the room. Whippe had to move fast and quietly, jumping over the railing, barely hanging on as the woman passed by, vanishing down the hall. Not wanting the woman to come back she vaulted over the wood rails and headed into the room, moving quickly across the floor she made her way to the violin.*

Whippe: Your so beautiful, I have to make sure not to damage you.

*Whippe was about to grab her prize when she hear a soft clicking noise behind her, Quickly turning to find the source of the sound she came face to face with the Ruby eyes of the Manor's Vampire. Somehow, the woman stepped into the room without her hearing or even making noise on the floor boards and had shut and locked the door, leaving Whippe trapped inside with the Vampire.*

*To say that Young Whippe was scared was a bit of an understatement, she bit her bottom lip to keep her hands from trembling so much, trying to open her mouth to say something but no words seemed to exit no matter how hard she tried.*

Vampire: Well Well, what do we have here, a fellow music lover? Did you hear the call of the violin and you had to come and gaze upon it? No, that would be a lie, your here to take it.... aren't you? You don't need to speak since I already know it's true.

*The woman took a step towards Whippe causing her to take a step back like a game of step avoidance.*

Vampire: Oh? For a human brave enough to break into my home your showing your true colors at this moment, are you scared of me? You should be. What's your name Thief?

*Whippe's eyes were trained on the vampire before her, her knees shaking so much she could no longer hide it.*

Whippe: W-W-Whippe. P..Please let me go.

Vampire: Whippe? It's a pleasure to meet you Whippe, I'll let you go Dear Whippe, but first I have to carve my punishment into your body...

Whippe: W...but miss!

Vampire: Prepare yourself human.

Durjaya: You should not be so judgmental on the Whippe, Ariel. Vampires have a natural ability called Bloodscent, there is no hiding from them since they can literally smell the blood of living (or undead should they posses it.) creatures.

Lord Shadow:Indubitably. One of the reasons I employ dark creatures and mamono that would cause fear in the common thief or fool.

Thief:Yup, very true. Though if I were in her shoes I would have brought two others. One to take the violin and another to distract the vampire. Third is insurance.

Lord Shadow:Not a brave thief if you forget my young minion. Now bring a Seer so I can see how this plays out!

Whippe: I understand that but look at it for me. I woke up in the Mamono world one day, and at the time I didn't have a home or anything to call my own. I didn't have people helping me with any of these things.....

Anyway, here´s mine:

I understand the Vampire´s confusion here; she too can not understand the reason why you
"cloned" these two sentences. Perhaps she is having a Déjà vu?

One last thing. In this setting you, whippe, are described as indeed being the "Insect Queen"
eventhough remaining as a human (at least the Demon Lord call the protagonist like that).
However, when she begins remembering her early life in this world all seems to point out
that the protagonist was just a renown thief working by herself alone by then, that is
with no relationship to any bug girl, isn´t it?.

This was good. I still say this could make good manga.

She just only needs to commence to draw, or get someone else to do that job...

So, it is still missing the part where you achieve the Queen-ship over the whole
Insect girls, which is somewhere in between your days of a thief and your current
imprisonment in the demon Lord´s castle. Whatever would be the case, looking
forward to the continuation of this work.
