The Shadow Games

[This is not a RP nor will I be doing any DMing. This is purely is discussion and explanation for this roleplaying mechanic which can be done with RPs.]
This is a special RP mechanic that I have devised to make RPs run in a rather interesting matter and put a lid on god moding since you can't god mod on a game and cheating will forfeit the match. The mechanics itself is rather simple. Instead of using dice or a lengthy battle post which can be hard to do with making some short posts. Odds of success and results of battle and escaping(or anything of that nature) can be determined by the results of playing a game with someone over the net while being in character. It can be a duel(yugioh. There are many ways to do this and one pretty cool way that you can PM for details.), a PVP over a MMORPG, a board game done with someone over the net(via YIM or other means), and even the use of Kaillera. The whole idea was inspired by yugioh since ever single matter there could be settle with a gamble duel or a shadow game. Anyway, this is a mechanic to be used within a RP and can inspire all new RPs ideas and types of RP concepts that can be used here and else were. This will also make it so instead of luck or the mercy of the DM to affect a battle or an event, you use pure skill to affect the what happens to you in a RP.
Example of a possible RP ideas done with just this mechanic:(While using dueling as means to effect results)
Having your own version of yugioh GX by doing the whole duel academy type of setting.
Recreating duelist kingdom or battle city and doing your own version of it is another good setting.
How doing something like this could work is by having the DM make decks reflecting NPCs and opponents you duel with during the RP while the player can make a deck their character would use.
To branch off one of the suggested methods which is still a part of the concept:
Using kaillera to settle things can but used in two ways. Playing a VS match in a game or doing a challenge like in that game show Nick arcade. For example, you are fighting a lizardman. When the battle starts, the DM can instead post after the battle starts. "Gather 20 extra lives in super mario world in 10 minutes. Getting a game over will result in a automatic failure." If the person completed the challenge the battle ends and the person would be the winner the fight. Failling will result on the person losing the fight. If you as still uncertain how this works, kaillera allows does let the DM watch the player to make sure the challenge was actually done and completed so they don't need to be playing as second player to keep an eye on them.
Please keep in mind that these shadow games are the fights and what happens there replaces violence and other aspects like for example escaping and eluding from people/MGs you don't want to be with.
