An Adventure on Monster Isle

I screwed up pretty bad when I first tried this on MGU. Everything went to crap before the RP even really began because I put it in the wrong section. But I'm ready to try again.

Before Alex Ispen's arrival on the isle, six passengers of a cruise ship are thrown overboard during a massive storm and wake up on the beaches of Monster Isle. That is the setting.

This is not a game. This is simply an RP to explore the many sights and females of the titular isle. At the start, your character must be based on what is realistically possible. No cybernetic enhancements or special powers. (Special powers may change later)

Rules:

1: This RP will be rated R, not A for adult. That means that foul language is fine and sexual encounters are fine, but leave the latter unsaid. I don't want this turning in a cyber session.

2: Your character just needs a brief description of what they look like and perhaps a little backstory that is vital to their personality. Please keep descriptions brief and succinct. Also, be sure to add what material items your character has on him or her, as those are vital in a shipwrecked situation.

3: I am the leader of the group and DM of the RP, but suggestion while in character can be made. I'll be throwing in plenty of surprises though, so be ready to roll with it.

4: Please don't be disruptive.

5: And please be patient with me if I overlook a basic RPing courtesy. I've only done this a few times in the past.

Also in regard to your question DM can participate in his own RP... I did it for MGU's very first RP... however... who is going to DM you in this RP? Or are you going to DM yourself and everyone else?

I think he refers to he wont make a new story for it and it's just about 6 persons in the island. (maybe he wants to see how other persons would have reacted to these situations)

I think that getting a game over is imminent in this RP, God of TMM. And I think that you should post the game mechanics, the rules, and the player limits of your DM in your first post, Helios. RPers expects to find those kinds of stuff in the first post.

Before I begin the registration, I have to ask. Is a DM allowed to participate in the RP, or is he only responsible for leading the direction of the adventure?

That depends. In my RPs, an NPC named 'Grey Crestwell' is usually my character in my game, though he doesn't appear all the time and only interacts with players if he wants to. I also use my NPCs as my characters to interact with the players.

I am not, by any means, a good Roleplayer. One of the main reasons I never really took place in any before, heh.. But, if you would like to have me here, Helios, I wouldn't mind trying. Again.

If not, I will be reading through the posts for my own amusement. Seeing who falls prey to which Monster, and how long everyone will last in the face of a great trial.

When I said that this isn't a game, I meant that it won't be like an RPG or anything. Confrontations will occur with Mamono and such, but they won't be like fights.

I suppose I shall attempt to DM this. I'll take the duty of all mamono dialog. I'm also going to edit the first post with some rules. Please post your character and whatnot according to the rules after this post and I will add you to the list.

Personality: Steven is one hell of a fast thinker thanks to his years of torture at the hands of bully's he has learned that his tongue will save his ass more than his fists.
He is rather shy around women, since he never lost his virginity he tends to avoid sexual confrontation (I.E flirting and touch). above all else Steven likes to think of himself a romantic although he has never had a girlfriend due to his shyness and large size. Clothing: A trenchcoat with the majority of the color being black, and certain parts being red (the flaps on the pockets and such) He does not wear this in a way goths would. No chains or anything like that. He just likes it. Underneath that is a simple red t-shirt. His pants are the same color design as his trench coat. No chains or anything, just black and red. His shoes are black with red laces.

Material items: His grandfather's dog tags and survival knife. iPod Touch 4g.

Body shape: Garth has finely toned muscles, but isn't particularly muscular. He's more of the athletic type and prefers speed over brute strength.

Background: Garth was a wimp back in the day. A wimp and a nerd. He always read comic books and ayed video games, but was picked on a lot at school. He would always get into fights but would end up losing and both him and the instigator would get into trouble. When it came to ninth grade, he had had it with the bullies. He became tougher and stronger, but then he realized something. It wasn't the bullies that was the problem. It was him. He let them get into his head. He got angry and let his anger control him. "Well no more" he said. Despite his now toned body, he never got into another fight. They would try to instigate, but he'd just smile and walk away. Now he runs a comic book store selling all sorts of comics including his own original story, Meteor Man (not to be confused with "The Meteor Man" film of the 1990s). Meteor Man is a superhero donning the colors of black and red, hence Garth's own outfit color. Having a good life, Garth wears a smile everyday, cracks jokes and makes friends, children, and adults laugh with his joyfulness. He carries his grandfather's dog tags and survival knife as momentos so that he may never forget his grandfather who taught him what it means to be a man and all the best jokes he knows.

Bio:

Very intelligent and somewhat cold individual at first glance (you wouldn't be able to tell that he is a scientist in real life). However, once you get to know him you find he is much more open hearted to those who he is familiar with. Does not really know how to act too well around women, often putting on a cold an un-interested facade around them.
Bio: A Genetic Engineer Scientist with a goal of immortality and world domination. He had a very comfortable upbringing and always excelled in what he does which led to him gaining a very arrogant attitude and a sense of pride that's difficult to measure with current scientific scales as it is assumed to extend beyond the known universe.
