The Monster Multiverse

Hi there!, i have been a fan an drawer of Monster girls for some time but i only recently discovered this page through MGU

Pen name is KuKuruYo, real name must not be spoken, i'm a 31 years old illustrator, cartoonist and designer. I'm also spanish so there you have an explanation if you don't understand any of my english. The other explanation is cause i'm evil

I've been drawing since the 15 but until a few years ago the closest to a monster girl i did were dark elfs or half demons, now i'm a lot into monster girls, i have a webcomic in a world with a lot of them, salamanders, insectoids, winged, arachnid, etc, i also do monster girl versions of creatures, like Monster hunter ones or League of legends ones. I still have to read or play a lot of the famous Monster girl works, but i have found i like it very much.

Ah...i would not use "spaniard" much when talking to Spain people, because we usually consider it offensive. People from spain are called Spanish, because it basically refers to anything from Spain, people from latin america are called Hispanics or by their country, Spaniard it's a term that many use when they want to insult us, regardless of it's origin, and in fact the pronunciation in spanish sounds offensive, so even if it's common to use it, we don't like it very much. I travel enought in english forums to know it's not usually the intention, but i also know many spanish who get angry at it, it's like when we call french people "gabachos", it have become common use here and most of times we use simply as joke, but i don't think they like it very much.

Yeah, but thats because North American have little to none knowledge of where and how spain is, no offense but many of them seems to think any spanish it's from Mexico xD. Originally Spanish it's the way to say something or someone is from Spain, not just the language, but some countrys did as you say, pointing a finger to south america thinking spanish people come from there, and thus the word spaniard was born. But in the same way, as they don't like spanish people (as far as everyone i know in EEUU have told me, we are to them like african inmigrants are for us), many of them used the term in an offensive way, and that's the way that have reached us.

A spanish with a good english knowledge can know as i did that it's not being used as an insult in most of the cases, and it's just another way to call us, but most of the spanish population doesn't know much or any english to know that, (hell, i have one of the best english knowledges of all the people i know and i make a lot of mistakes, guess how are the others) and if you call them "spaniard" they will probably get angry, cause the word itself sounds offensive and we have seen many offensive uses for them, specially on videogames xD i have seen firsthand racial battles begin cause someone said that word, and thats why i advice to be carefull when using the term with people from spain, they can easilly misunderstand your intentions, even if you are acustomed to the term there, here we are not.

I have just checked on the internet before sending to make sure i remember well from my english clases, and indeed spanish and spaniard are both valid ways to name someone from Spain, but also i've seen spanish people considering it offensive on the net xD, so that's mostly what i say, you can easilly get on a fight thinking you are just getting technical, while the other thinks you are laughting at his country :/.

And yeah, hi!, i was, aah ,waiting, because, you know, i'm evil (don't eat my shoes Mini me, i'm talking with people on the internet!)

So Kukuruyo, what kind of things, aside from MGs, do you like to draw?

Normal girls? xD, i can do anything but i'm more confortable with girls and monsters, fantasy worlds, sexy works, i even worked on an porno comic. I also like ci-fi but i have less experience with that, mechs are a hell to do.

Also, I've seen your art thread, already, and I must say, your work is simply amazing! I draw myself, but I kinda suck at it (I sometimes have my moments where I make something decent-ish, like my avatar over there on the left). I've gotten the hang of using SAI Paint tool for coloring my drawings, though I still have trouble with shading clothes and hair... And eyes... And skin...

Try to use Manga Studio Ex 5 (also named Clip studio paint), right now it's the best comic and illustration sofware out there, regardless of drawing style, people are usually scared of it cause the interface in the 4th version was bad, or because it has "manga" in his name, but honestly the 5th version beats SAI by far.

I second the recommendation on Clip Studio Paint. Great software and beats SAI easily.
