If you like Pokemon type challenging games I'd recommend the Shin Megami series.

Hopefully the next Pokemon takes the game up a notch, the formula needs to "evolve" already.

Um, "Challange Mode" is Pokemon's version of Hardmode.

Actually the prequel did that already.
A new region full of nothing but new entries exclusive to only that region and for the first time the region was not based on Japan (Kanto is based on Kanto prefecture, Johto on Kansai's, Hoenn on Okinawa's and Sinnoh on Hokkaido. While on the other hand Unova is based on the United States), sure you could see pokémon from other regions on Unova but only on the post-game.

The sequel however kind of broke the Black and White intentions by adding a whole lot of outsiders to the Unovadex though (one of the things that is a turn off for me).

Be nice if you could deal with ALL the gyms. Be a big badge case and it would be 5 champions and elite fours to challenge. Would require a lot of traveling too considering the regions and the teams you deal with. Maybe they should make the next teams be elemental again like Team Aero and Team Terra or Team Gaia.

You can fight ALL the gym leaders from the other games as well. And Champions.

If you can, be sure to train it. Stoutlands are magnificent tanks (both physical and special) and can dish huge amounts of physical damage (a crtical STAB Retaliate or Giga Impact can wreak major havoc).
Just be sure to rely on it when it comes to special attacks though.

Not all of us are playing on a 3DS though. I'm playing on a 5-year-old DS Lite.

Besides, you can only catch 26 different pokemon using that thing.

Yup. Eveh the Kami Trio's alt formes. Also if you have the 4th gen games you can get the mascots of them.
