Mega Lati@s officially revealed (about time if you ask me)...
Source

And two new Gen I mega evolutions more: Mega Pidgeot and Mega Beedrill.
Their types will remain the same (Pidegot being Normal/Flying and Beedrill Bug/Poison) but their abilities will change Mega Pidgeot has No Guard (Hurricane finally will be a useful move) and Mega Beedrill has Adaptability (moves like Twineedle, Pin Missile and Fell Stinger will get an important boost).

Honestly I didn't expect those two to get a mega form, but not complaints here...

I bring more news for my nonexistant fellows

First of all, new video showing Mega Lati@as and other few things.

I know this sounds ironic coming from an apiphobic, but... Mega Beedrill looks awesome

Second... Two new Mega evolutions:

-Mega Steelix (Retains its dual Steel/Ground typing and gets Sand Force as its ability)
-Mega Glalie (It retains its pure Ice typing and gets Refrigerate as its ability)

I'm feeling special today

Post by Kaijin »

I've got my hands on a Pokémon ORAS special demo code, so I thought that maybe I could give my two cents about it (and more considering than most of the poképlayers around these corners will have to wait for a few more days to get it).

-The first thing worth mentioning is that unlike the overwhelming majority of 3DS demos, this one has unlimited uses.

-The demo itself is quite short, it's a short map with some Magma and Aqua grunts their respective sub admins (Matt for Aqua who now looks like a pirate rather than a QPR hooligan like on its old R/S/E days, and Tabitha for Magma who other than retaining his girly name now looks like the lovechild of a Makuhita and Majin Buu), and a wild pokémon that varies depending on the country/region.

-Japan got Steelix, while Europe (alongside South Korea and Australia) has Glalie.

-Glalie/Steelix can be transferred over a full ORAS game, at lvl.40 and with its respective mega stone.

-While the "quest" is short, the demo has some replayability. It will generate randomized maps with trainers for the first 10 times. After the 10th time the maps won't be randomized anymore (it will always be the same).

-Beating the demo more than once has its perks since it will allow you to transfer items to a full ORAS game from pokéballs to heart scales.

-Taping the joystick softly will allow the main character to tip-toe instead of walking (I'm gonna miss X/Y skates soooo much, but I'm guessing that this will be useful to ambush pokémon (in the demo I happened to see something that resembled the rustling gras patches seen in B/W and B2/W2)).

-All in all despite being short, the demo is pretty swell visualwise is stunning so far (the aerial view of Mossdeep and Sootopolis seen while riding Lati@s is breathtaking, so is the sight of the rocket ship from Mossdep space station's viewpoint) and they made quite a good job at remixing R/S/E soundtrack so far (I love Magma/Aqua's remixes).
I'm looking forward to the final result (and porting over my Glalie of course).

And it's officially confirmed: The American version of the special ORAS demo will also have Mega Glalie, the only country/region to have Mega Steelix on it is Japan (I hope that there's a way in the final game to get Mega Steelix though...)

Ghostly Reminder

Post by Kaijin »

Just a little reminder here.

Shiny Gengar event ends TOMORROW for the American players, if you still don't have it be sure to get it... As it has Sludge Wave (a multiple target 95 BP STAB move that it's UNABLE TO LEARN ANY OTHER WAY) and having a spare Gengarite doesn't hurt... specially if you want to use a Gengar in ORAS (I hope Game Freak finds out a way to port XY pokémon into ORAS other than trading).

Tough luck man...
In my country there are still giveaway codes for it, and during the Manga Fair held in my city (starting this thursday) Nintendo Spain is planning to distribute codes for both Shiny Gengar and Diancie (almost a week before the start of Diancie event <3) during the days the fair days.

I already have my Gengar, but if you're interested I can try to get you a code for it. I can't assure you that it will work on your version but you've got nothing to lose.

If you're interested gimme a holler before thursday (it's the least I can do after not being able to get you a Manaphy x_X).

Sure and I'll take that offer. If it doesn't work out maybe a trade for the shiny Gengar if you can get two or a spare prepared.

So, I got some news.

1: In the next Coro Coro magazine, there will be a code that will give you the Eon ticket.
2: There will be places called "Mythical Places" where you can catch past Legendaries. And if I'm understanding this right, in both sets of Gen 6 games, you will be able to get all of the legendaries .
3: The Pokenav will be upgraded, with "DexNav", "AreaNav", and something called "BuzzNav"

Oh... And character customization won't make the cut into this game... (One of the coolest features in the Kalos' arc ditched so easily).

Ok, found out a little more regarding Eon tickets.

From the Japanese Pokémon site:

"In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, players who have an Eon Ticket will be able to share their Eon Ticket via StreetPass with other players. The original copy of the ticket is not lost when sharing with other players."

It is not clear whether only players who received the Eon Ticket from an event distribution can share it with other players, or if players who obtain it via StreetPass can too. This function is likely inspired by the ability to share the Eon Ticket by mixing records in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. In the Generation III games, only players who obtained their Eon Ticket from an e-Card or promotional event could share it with other players by mixing records.

"Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are the upcoming remakes of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire; in addition to updated visuals, the games include new Mega-Evolutions and features. In the Delta Episode, players will learn the history of the Hoenn region and get swept up in a battle to save the earth. While they protect a research facility called the Mossdeep Space Center from Team Magma and Team Aqua, Pokémon Rayquaza and Deoxys clash in space to "determine the future of Hoenn.""

...Wait, what? (From here.)

Last trailer? I hope so... since we're one/two week(s) before the release date

Dear Game Freak people, a pokémon that downright halves its most important stats for the first five turns of a battle is not "powerful" but one heck of a liability to any kind of pokémon team. Regardless of its BST Regigigas is not only useless but also the worst legendary ever made (only useful as a meat shield at best).

The best of the trailer? Courtney, she didn't appear in the original games at all (she was a badass manga exclusive character), it's nice to see that Game Freak finally realized of that fact and made her canon in the game continuity (I won't be seeing her though since I'll be getting most likely Alpha Sapphire to avoid the hellish and insightful abomination known as Mega Camerupt at all costs).

If that allows it to get rid of Slow Start, then I back you up on that.

It would have to. I doubt Regigigas looked like that when he was moving the continents around. If he was go Primal it would give him back his true power and get rid of Slow Start. As he is now Regigigas seems like he been weakened.
