Heh, that would explain where the stage idea came into play in Paper Mario quite well too. Never even realized the curtain had a significance. To be honest, that makes me like the game less. So Mario doesn't have any adventures, he just acts like a Hero on stage. Welp, another childhood memory destroyed haha. I suppose it's meant to be clever though, since 2D platform games make zero sense anyway.

Well, Westwood made the Command and Conquer series... THQ did the Home Alone game for the NES... Acclaim did Double Dragon 2 and 3 for the NES, along with Smash TV...
