This news is pretty old but ya I agree that it was pretty stupid that they got sent to prison straight away and that sentence is just plain wtf.

The Greeks are being stupid but what else is new. I pray and hope that Ivan and Martin get set free.

Could I get a brief nutshell of the issue? The internet suffers from heavy censorship at my current location.

Here the sitrep two of the Bohemia Interactive staff (creators of ARMA series) have been arrested in Greece on charges of "espionage" when taking photos of the landscape on the Island of Lemnos. They have been detained and could face 20 years in a Greek prison if found guilty of the charges held against them. hopes this helps.

In recent news the Czech President (Greece's ally) has stepped in appealing to the Greek Court asking for the release of the two devs. Who happen to be Czech citizens.

Even I who is completely new to this issue, just from reading this alone, can tell that Greece has just put their foot in something -- be it their own mouth, a pile of leavings, or both together, remains to be seen for now I suppose.

Well Greece is in war so they have a license to be paranoid.
