Kinect users beware....

I was going to post this in my blog. But screw that noise, everyone needs to see this one.

Which; btw, members of TMM.. this is only the tip of the iceburg.

I blame Balmer, he needs to hurry up and gtfo of Microsoft...

Although, there is speculation that this is a move in order to make sure that no company could do this.
When you "patent" something, you gain godly rights to the idea meaning nobody else on Earth will be allowed to implement said idea theirself.

Due to the fact that Microsoft going through with the actual process is an insanely stupid move. We can't help but to think that it is merely a method to secure the idea so that "nobody" would do it. Unfortunately, I wouldn't see Microsoft using their patents this way.

I noticed a number of people mentioned 1984 a number of times.... Would anyone happen to know what the hell happened during that timeline in relations to this issue?

Wouldn't this be a perfect time to make one of those "In Soviet Russia..." jokes, with it reworded to "fit" this? I'm not sure how one would go about that, though...

Not so much a temporal correlation as it is a literary one. I just hope this is, as speculated, a prohibitive motion as opposed to a potential menace.

EDIT:

In Soviet Russia, video game watches you. In America-- oh wait, maybe not so different after all. What a country! /Yakov

Makes me glad I never want an X-box and prefer nintendo.

I guess we can add that to the list of reasons why the X-box is bad.

I can agree but also do the same for Nintendo since I have a xbox

Do I want to feed into Microsoft's take over of the world

or Do I want to buy the same Nintendo game 13 times with hardly any changes.

Lol, Microsoft will watch you eating your cookies. Then charge you a fee for the cookies not being "Microsoft" brand, or they will lock up your device.

Is basicly what they are saying.

Yeah, just never buy a Kinect or a webcam for your PC (or a webcam integrated notebook/tablet/ultrabook that runs windows).

Better do it now, before they decide to recall all of those as well so there will only be webcam integrated everything.
