Most Useless Video Game weapons

You ever play a video game, using a certain weapon, and find yourself thinking "Why the hell is this piece of crap even in the game?"

This topic is where we share weapons that are useless, impractical, or just too silly to be any kind of effective.

I'll go first.

==========================================================================

From Team Fortress 2: the Sun-on-a-Stick

It's a melee weapon for the Scout that has the following stats:

Bonuses: Guarantees Critical damage on burning targets.
Penalties: Deals 25% less damage.

Now, guaranteed crits on burning targets sounds good, right?

Several problems with that.

1.) The Scout's melee damage is already the weakest in the game on his REGULAR weapons.

2.) Scout has NO MEANS of setting someone on fire, which means to use the Sun-on-a-Stick, you have to actively work with a Pyro.

3.) There's a million ways for burning to be extinguished. Water pools in the field, Scouts throwing Mad Milk, Pyros airblasting or using the Manmelter's vacuum, Snipers throwing Jarate, ANY MEDKIT...

4.) By the time you find a burning opponent, the Pyro has either already killed them using her other weapons, or they've extinguished themselves.

5.) Even on fire an opponent can fight back. If you try to melee, say, a Heavy (minigun), Soldier (rocket launcher), or Demoman (grenade launcher)... well, you can guess what will happen.

The Sun-on-a-Stick has no value as a weapon in Team Fortress 2.

In Earthbound, there was a certain bat that I wound up being stuck with as my only weapon because I had sold the previous one. I wound up in Magicant, where all you have is Ness.

The problem with the weapon, as I realized far too late, is that it does crazy good damage in return for rarely hitting. And I do mean rarely. If I were to guess the hit ratio of this weapon, it would be 2/10. Thankfully, after dealing with much frustration, I came across a new bat about halfway through Magicant. And promptly thanked the lord.

For me, it's pretty much any gatling gun in Armored Core V

The attack stats for them are so damn low that even the most powerful gatling with "specialized for damage" setting remains as "HIT-INEFFECTIVE".

Add to the fact it has poor optimal range, so it requires close range to be of some effect. However the majority of AC players usually have more than enough KE defense to ward off any gatling gun attack. Many players opt for battle rifles (Chemical Damage) and rifles (Kinetic Damage), and pulse machine guns (Thermal Energy with an amplifier )to chew out the ACs quickly.

The frying pan from Left 4 Dead 2.

Slow, not too good damage, and not exactly accurate.
