[Multiplatform] Moemon

In general, Moemon is a rom hack series to the pokemon games. What makes the hack different from normal hacks is that not only do ALL pokemon get gender swapped to be female only(even the genderless ones.), they all get new sprites that cross humans with pokemon in appearance(getting more human like through evolutions.). The short version of the new sprites description, all pokemon literally become PokeMONSTER girls. Aside from the graphical chances, the Moemon have the same stats, and moves as regular pokemon.(There are some hacks that give new changes, but most only just do the sprite swap over a regular pokemon rom.)
I am only going to say this once and give this one warning. DO NOT, post download links to the roms itself. I can't stress that enough since it means bad news for ALL of us if people do that. You are free to post and upload rom patches since that's legal, but all roms, hacked or otherwise can't be uploaded. You are free to do it privately out of the forum, but keep don't do it here. I can't stress that enough.
Anyway, feel free to discuss about the rom hacks and talk about it. Even feel free to talk about your favorite Moemon.

Ok... Magikarp may be useless, but she is so CUTE! If I had the game, I'd catch her and keep her from evolving, just because she is absolutely adorable!
Espion's and Umbrion's sprite give me a few ideas for fanart with the two.
I like Swellow's sprite, too.
Articuno's sprite next to snorlax almost looks like she's thinking something like: "Maybe I should wake her up? Is it even possible to wake her up?"
@creator _drake: I know, right? Those got me, too. I heard they were originally males, but turned into females over time. I wonder if their sprites stayed the same after turning into females? That's a creppy thought...

Ok... Magikarp may be useless
I've beat my way through Gen I to Gen IV with only a Magikarp, so they can still be of some use ^^
By the way, does someone have more moemon sprite sheets by any chance? Since they are a lot of them missing (specially Gen II).

Nice!
Does this sprite sheet work, in means of what you're looking for?

Hmm... Not exactly, I remember a different Charizard and a different Mightyena than the ones seen there. And I can recall some legendary sprites such as Groudon that don't appear there...
Wait... I think I found it
partly at the very least

So you guys have it. Here's Moemon Leaf green.(Patch only for previously mentioned reasons.)
Incidentally, if you patch it onto any Pokemon hack(which has no new pokemon added) that has been built from Leaf green, it will work and turn it into a moemon version.
Aside from that here's how you patch it onto leaf green:
[Just keep in mind that the rom is only legal if you have it legit. If a rom is built from it, it still counts as the game it was built from. So don't upload prepatched roms, rom links, or the roms themselves. I will instaremove them.]
1. Get the clean rom of a game it requires. In this case, Pokemon Leaf Green.(Google and Yahoo can be your friend here)
2. Get a program called Lunar IPS. That will patch the ISP file on that zip file onto Pokemon Leaf green.
3. Either double click the IPS or activate the program.(Simple enough)
4. Make sure you have the rom backed up just in case.
5. Just select your copy of Pokemon Leaf Green and you're set.

Sorry for the Double post, but has anyone ever played Moemon Eternal?

I have. Sure is much harder than the original, and the sprites in eternal are really good.
I haven't gotten very far, yet. Only beat the first gym, so far, using mainly Phanpy's defense curl + rollout combo. I'm gonna try to level up all my other Pokemon, since phanpy's level 20, and everyone else is level 13 and lower.

Apparently, the creators of Moemon Eternal also made a Fire Red Counterpart called Moemon Forever. I thought I'd bring it up since it seems interesting.

Sorry for the double post, but here's the legality of it, straight from Wiki.
"Under United States law, obtaining a dumped copy of the original machine's BIOS is legal under the ruling Lewis Galoob Toys, Inc. v. Nintendo of America, Inc., 964 F.2d 965 (9th Cir. 1992) as fair use as long as the user obtained a legally purchased copy of the machine."
So if you have a copy of the game, it's legal to have as a backup of it. That literally means you can have downloaded games provided you have it for real. So the game companies won't care provided you have the game for real. It shows you purchased the game so there's no need to buy the game again if you still have the original game.
As for hacked games, a prime example is the english translation patch of Mother 3(A sequel to earthbound). The company that makes the game, acknowledges the existence and is fine with the patch itself. However, it's encourage they get the japanese copy of the game first since it's a patch to play the rom of the game in english.

Would downloading the firered Moemon forever patch erase my data in the original rom?

I don't know(might not), but in my opinion, my answer would be yes and no.
I might because of the additions to the system and nature of the hack, however, a save file for an emulator is always seperate can be backed up by copy/pasting the file. The emulator you are using dedicates this save file as a "[name of the rom file here].sav". If you make a copy of the rom with the same exact name as it was before, it will always load of that save file like nothing happened. My advice is to copy and paste the rom into a new folder and have the copy be renamed as "Moemon Forever"(Right click the file and select "rename"). Just patch it to that and you can have a fresh copy of the hack without losing your data.
However, if you want to experiment, you can easily rename your save file as Moemon Forever and it may work. If you are patching from the original hack to upgrade, it will still work and keep everything in tact if you use this method.
However, in my opinion, you are better off making doing a copy/paste of the rom so you can star with a new file so you can take advantage of the additions that are made in this game. One being that you have wider selection of wild moemon to catch(Eevee is in the wild early game) and they all are from different generations.(I found a breloom, sentret, and oddish before even getting to Pewter City)
That means, getting a really cool pokemon easier to find and stuff like constantly seeing Zubat in caves is a pokeproblem of the past.

As much as I love cute personafied pokemon girls AND pokemon, I just couldn't get into this mod. It's an interesting mod though and really shows the power of sprite and text swapping.

Text swapping? I never saw anything different with the text.

Are you telling me it has the exact text as Pokemon Fire Red? That simply would make it sprite swap then. What is the point in playing it at all then? Eh, nevermind, I'm sure die hard Pokefans could get some kind of enjoyment out of it..
Also now that I think about it, I played the TOUHOUMON version...that is the one with the new text. ^^; It was actually quite difficult as well, thanks to the weak starters (my favorite one having a weakness to Normal damage made it a nightmare). But I digress, that discussion is for another topic. And with that, I shall take my leave from this one. *flies away*

I take it you played Moemon Forever and not Moemon Eternal.
Moemon Forever is only for Fire Red. While it is the same maker of the hack, Moemon Eternal is a Emerald Hack.
Moemon Forever actually has new characters, a Legendary Pokemon God as your rival, and patches of Tall grass within towns that have additional Moemon. It also has new Gym leaders. This has edited text and a slightly different story.
Moemon Eternal on the other hand only has 4 major changes. Edited trainers, different starters, a special Gym leader and elite four gimmick, and additional Pokemon in the wild. However, all story related things in this hack remain in tact.
Overall, they can be rather difficult with having high levels for gym leaders(Eternal), or insanely tough teams(Forever).
But keep this little tip in mind to make things easier. If you catch the pattern, it gets progressively easier in Eternal because you always will have an idea what kind of gym and team the gym leaders have as well as the Elite Four.
With Forever, it's rather hard for at least the first two gyms(Because they have an ancient and a legendary pokemon in their teams), but once you gen the versus Seeker or start visiting the tall grass within Celadon City, leveling becomes easier and you can easily curvestomp your enemies.(Started a new file recently and before I got three badges, I already have 5 Pokemon at around level 30.)

Well, the regular Moemon hacks that aren't any harder, seem exactly the same.
I haven't played Moemon forever, yet, so I don't know what's in there. But by what Rez is saying, it's more than a sprite changing hack, for sure. So I guess there ARE differences in text in Moemon forever. I was talking about Moemon eternal when I said that. Sorry for the confusion, feathers.

I haven't played Moemon since the original hacks. Speaking of which back on the old forum there was this Moemon roleplay, to bad the person running it stopped before the roleplay even began. I wonder if there will ever be another Moemon roleplay on the Monster Girl forums.

Since I have permission to do so from the creator, I would like to present to you Moemon Eternal and Moemon Forever.
Reminder Moemon Eternal is a Hack for Pokemon Emerald.
Moemon Eternal V3.rar
Moemon Forever is a hack of Pokemon Fire Red.(The Created has noted that you will need either the original fire red rom or the lastest version of the fire red rom to avoid a nasty bug.)
