The Steam 'About The Game' Description wrote:Sonic and the All-Stars cast line up on the starting grid once again to battle for supremacy in the ultimate race. Compete across land, water and air in incredible transforming vehicles that change from cars to boats to planes mid-race. Master your driving skills as you drift, barrel role and boost to overtake your rivals, or use your weapons tactically and unleash your All-Star move to gain the winning advantage.

It’s not just your fellow racers you need to watch out for, as the road falls away beneath you, or the river runs dry, new routes emerge and your vehicle transforms to take advantage of the terrain. Discover alternative routes and short cuts as you perfect the course in this adrenaline fuelled dash to the finish line - racing will never be the same again.

This is not just racing, it’s racing transformed!
I don't know about you guys, but this looks pretty damn cool. I'm might get the game because it has Wreck-It Ralph as a racer (I happen to have thoroughly enjoyed the movie.)

PC Version also has three Team Fortress 2 characters as a single racer. XD

The car changing gimmick is from Mario Kart 7 just so you know. Doesn't make this game any less cool loooking though.

*I suck at driving games
*I'm not fan of them either
*I don't own a copy of the game for neither PS3 nor PSP due a rather precarious personal economy due to unemployment
*I don't get why someone able to outrun the sound needs a car
*The last Sonic games I've played were the Sequel Series (a fangame saga that is more playable and entertaining that Sonic 4 series)

Pick your poison pal ^^

I can't give as much as opinion there, since my experience on this game relies on LPs and singel races on Youtbe, but for a Mario Kart rip-off seems rather nice. It has plenty of gimmicks and extras to keep entertained (lots of homages to several Sega titles such as Golden Axe, JSR, Shinobi, Nights...), the OST is just plain amazing (which is not a surprise in a Sonic game), the roster is quite large and interesting (It's a shame that Billy Hatcher didn't make it, or that Ristar never gets to shine as he deserves though) and the gameplay seems pretty solid.

However there are things that should have been polished before being released, specially on the Wii U version that had a bug that made impossible to complete the Boost challenges (already solved via patch) completely unbeatable... The same could be aplied to World Tour mode's last stage.

If you like racing games and/or Mario Kart style games, it's worthy buying (I guess I can wait until the game gets cheaper or I find a job).
However I'm still waiting for a Sonic R2 (A racing game where Sonic actually RUNS).

.P.S.: In my country I've seen copies of the Wii U version that include a RC Knuckles' bike figure, but they seem to be really limited...

I do like that Wreck-it Ralph is in the game, but I think Vanelope would have made more sense. Ralph is a wrecker. Not a racer.

While I see your point, you have to consider that Ralph is there due to popularity reasons.
He's the cover guy and the hero of said movie, people will recognize him regardless if they saw the movie or not... However despite that the racer tot? child? (I don't know how old is she exactly) is more fitting her addition into the roster instead of Ralph's would have lead into millions of people asking "who the heck is she?" and "what on Earth is she doing here?"

That can also be applied for other characters such as Jacky Bryant, from the Virtua Fighter series known for being an Indy Car racer plotwise, never made it into any of the all-stars racing games mainly because Virtua Fighter became a really obscure series and a lot of people does not know who he is... As a matter of fact, "his" place in the roster was taken by Danica Patrick, a well known NASCAR racer, in the second game (quite the blunder in my humble opinion, NASCAR is known in American territory while other racing competitions (such as F1) are known everywhere... people outside the States (and Canada) won't know who the heck she is supposed to be nor why is in there... If they planned on exploiting a real life racer's popularity they should have gone for people like Mark Webber or Fernando Alonso instead).

But that's just my two cents anyway...

.P.S.: However the only wasted, wrongly chosen and inexplicable spot in the roster is without a doubt AGES.
Yes, I'm fully aware what they tried to do there... It's a gimmick to SEGA itself as a first party, as console maker... The pilot is a VMU while the car is a Dreamcast control pad...

...However, SEGA already had a gimmick more fitting for that spot, a gimmick that has made quite a name for herself real quick to the point of starting her own series (the thrid installment will be hitting European stores in a couple of months), was based on a console (the cancelled Sega Neptune) and had a lot of similarities to Sega's last great console and the most innovative ever made (Sega Dreamcast).
Even if it wasn't made entirely by SEGA (they heavily supported the project), considering their involvement into the project they wouldn't have found troubles for adding that character into the game, she would have been the perfect addition.

I mean... you have a SEGA console tan, a known and loved one... and you pick a VMU? WTF?

SEGA never looked so lovely before

Funny thing about Weck it Ralph. In Japan it's called Sugar Rush because of the main song. Strange right? I found this out from a vid Gajin Goomba did about the movie.

I tried it out.

I was...very, very disappointed.

The controls were floaty, almost like they decided to combine the physics of a boat, plane, and car all togeather.

Sometimes I think I can have the gift of clairvoyance...X_x

The game's price dropped drastically to more than a half of its original price all of a sudden in my country.
And I kind of have mixed feelings about that...

On one side I can pretty much afford it now...
On the other one even if I can afford it, I have my eyes set on two targets that are about to come at European stores: Ni no Kuni and Neptunia V (specially considering that we'll finally get to play as a Mega Drive OS-Tan).

Not to mention that one of my biggest fears about this game ended up being true:
The controls were floaty, almost like they decided to combine the physics of a boat, plane, and car all togeather.
Hmm... What to do.. x_x
