So...
The release of the much anticipated Fire emblem Awakening was just but a week and 3 days ago, and already I see why this game became scarce quickly. Without pre-ordering it, I would have never gotten a copy, but lucky me I always plan ahead, or you would always download it online like what my friend did, but hey, I prefer to have the cartridge.
Presentation
Fire emblem Awakening takes a place where your Avatar has a seemingly terrible nightmare of a betrayal of a loyal friend. After waking up from the dream, he/she is discovered by Chrom, Lissa, And Frederick, the first of many allies he/she meets. The avatar is soon initiated into the Shepherd, a group of rebels that fight against the tyrannic rule of the Pleggian King.
Gameplay
The Gameplay mechanics of Fire emblem awakening is nearly identical to previous installments, however, new features have been added to intensify gameplay experience.
-Paired battles
Paired battles is when two units are either next to each other, or are paired up all together to make one super unit to fend of enemies. Staying next to each other give units special bonuses like hit +10 and so on. Pairing up will add stat boosts to your character. Though pairing up means that you can only move once with your pair. If you fight alongside them long enough, they will be eligible for a support conversation.
-Support Function
Like previous Fire emblem games, Characters may interact with one another through support conversations. But this time, unlike before, characters are no longer limited to 5 supports. The higher the support level, the more stat bonuses they gain in battle together. They can support as much as possible with almost any character they wish with one exception. The S level can only be done once, and only by the opposite sex, which will also lead to the next topic at hand...
-Marriage
After achieving enough supports, a male/female character may have an S support level with that pair. This support will lead to the characters marriage. The two will have stat boosts beyond normal. The Avatar character can have any level support with any character depending on the Avatar's Gender. Marriage will trigger the following...
Warning, following is a spoiler of the game, if you wish to continue reading, go right ahead
-
-Skills
Skills are a familiar trait in previous fire emblem titles, but never had their been a more flexibly diverse amount of skills than this game. Skills are special abilities that characters can use, some unique to others. These can vary from increasing stat's, to opening chest and locks without keys, and so forth.
-Accessibility
Fire emblem Awakening goes beyond the storyline, able to take breaks in between to different places to buy supplies, fight enemies on the map, finding merchants, and so much more.
-Street Pass and Spot pass
Street pass:
After further advancement to the game, you get access to wireless controls, in which then allow you to use street and spot pass features. With street pass, you are able to make a 10 unit army with your avatar as their leader. You can customize your messages to your desire. Once you have it ready, you can activate street pass so others may stumble upon your group on the world map when you cross paths with them and vice versa.
Spot pass:
After further advancing into the game, you get access to spot pass. With spot pass you get the ability to gain street pass teams distributed online. These teams consists of old FE iconic heroes such as Ike, Roy, and so forth. You may summon them at the map and challenge them or hire them into your army, you can also buy their items and so forth. There is also spot pass item distributions as well as maps and challenge mode add on.
-DLC (Downloadable Content.)
This feature will be available as your progress through the game. DLC allows you to download and purchase maps. These maps often carry rewards, such as character cards to use in the game, DLC exclusive items, Money, etc. These costs money, but they are most certainly worth it.
-Double Duel
Double Duel is a new feature in Fire Emblem. It allows you to connect wirelessly to another friend locally. In this way, you take on a series of enemies, and pair your units with your friend. These challenges give out exclusive awards.
-Renown
Renown is a statistic number that increases as you defeat street pass teams and other things. Increasing your renown can give you renown awards, which give you exclusive items that are only attainable through renown.
Graphics
The games graphics are simply stunning. While it is true that lag occurs when 3D is on, it is hard to complain when great 3D cinematic cut scenes and beautifully rendered characters and background are present.
Music

Music is simply fantastic. While there are not alot of musical options, there are cinematic moments when the music plays at the right moment. Overall, the music is simply wonderful
VERDICT
Fire Emblem Awakening has easily sold out in the U.S. and has received many positive reviews, so far I have not seen one rating below an 80 or 8.0. If you're looking for a great Tactical RPG game, the Fire Emblem Awakening is a game you do not want to miss.
