[Party Request] Final Fantasy Series

Posted: Tue Jan 17, 2012 1:44 am

[I have a special request for everyone thats reading this thread.]

There are some specific games that exist with a very special feature:

Final Fantasy(The first one)

Final Fantasy Tactics

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fate
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time

What's special about these games is that they have a custom character feature. Or to better put it, you would be able to make your own character.

I was wondering, if anyone would give me the honor of adding them to a new file I'm making for these games.

There's some people I have in mind, but it would be nice for a personalized file that contains people of the TMM I know and come to respect.

If you guys will humor me then give me details of how you want your character.

Just Remember the name has to be less than 7 letters(except for final fantasy tactics and crystal chronicles which allows more letters).

Full Explanation in Spoiler
Spoiler: show
Example:
Spoiler: show
Character:(Your Character's Name)
Games:(The Name of the Game or Games your humoring me by sharing your custom character details)
Dominant Job Class: Samurai(Final Fantasy Tactics), Knight(Final Fantasy)
Race:Human(Relevant to Final Fantasy And Tactics/Clevat(Relevant to the Crystal Chronicles series)
Sub Job Class: Mediator(Final Fantasy Tactics)
Sign: Aquarius(Final Fantasy Tactics)
Specific Skills: Master Mediator, Master Samurai
Specific Traits(Final Fantasy Tactics): Counter, Two Swords, Teleport
Anything else just ask me. As well as for questions.

If you want to request for characters for your own file for this series or any other game that allows custom characters, go ahead and leave your request here.

It's a type of request thead.

In the first final fantasy game, you get to pick four characters with a job class of your choice. In addiction, you have to give them names.

Moving on to "Final Fantasy Tactics", in the game you can buy new characters. This game has a battle system similar to fire emblem but much better. These are blank character that you have to name. Fortunately, you can selection their zodiac sign, as well as for job class. The catch about the job system for this game is you have to earn your job. You can have a primary job that holds your dominant traits and skills. Then there's (what I call) your sub job class. In this game, your allow to use the skills and traits of other job classes. You can only have one of each type of trait. Your main attacks and traits is based on your job. The rest you can only have one trait for each area.

Example:

Name: Rezeed
Sign:Aquarius
Main Job: Samurai
Support Skills: Mediator(This part will allow my to use the skills/attack I learn while I was at that job class.)
Response: Counter(Depending on the response skill, you can react to different things in different ways. Counter lets me attack with my weapon to immediately when he hits me with his.)
Support trait passive: Two Swords(This trait allow a passive ability to be used. There is a rainbow of support traits. Like equiping weapons/armor that's outside or job class or protect your self from attacks that destroy your equipment. Two sword come from ninja and it allows you to attack with two weapons.)
Walking Support: Teleport(this one affects your movement. Teleport is selfexplaintory. It can let you walk farther, walk on water, and variety of other things based on what your character knows from their experience from being in a specific job class.)

End of example.

There is a lot of job classes in this game and I can have up to 16 people in one file. Any more questions about this game, you can ask away.

The last game is called final fantasy crystal chronicals. There are four races in this game with four different looks to them. This game can go coop multiplayer with the use of the gba.

I'm asking if I can put you guys in my file for these games. I don't know what you guys would have in mind, so if you guys want to be set up in a specific way(like job class, names, and traits) please inform me. Names for this series have a seven letter limit.

In addition, if you guys what to request to do the same or there's a game(like soul calibur 3) that has a character making feature. You can ask away in my thread.

ME:

Ideally, I want to have as many people as possible from this forum to be in my new file for these games. I really hope you guys will humor me. Though, there are some I really wish will give the honor of having them in my file for these three games.

These are people are cool to me, I Iike, respect, and/or think are cool. If I'm forgetting anyone, I'm updating this list periodically. The ones that are striked through are ones who agreed to do this. Please, if anyone wants in my file for either or all three games, let me know, and if you have the chance, please let me know by posting and post how you want to be setuped. This can be useful for others that want to do the same thing. The point of this thread is to add TMM users in save files to games that allow to to have custom character or characters that can be made on a character making feature.

Examples of games with such a feature:
Spoiler: show
Soul Calibur 3 and 4
Mortal Kombat Armagenton(yet again please exuse my spelling)
Guitar Hero 5
Rock Band
Games that allow Miis (nintendo wii)
Mugen (You can make your own characters, but it takes artwork and a little know how. Fortunate, I know how.)
Stepmania (Possible, but not exactly easy. I know how to do it.)
Team Fortress (Same as stepmania)
Half Life(Same as stepmania)
Phantasy Star Online(Same as stepmania)
(The list continues, but I'm not going to list them all.)
The point about this thread is a little different. It's just a fun project to do. Plus, you guys are able to use the data yourself. You guys are cool and we are like others have said "A big happy family". I thought it would be nice to bring that feeling(spirit) to video games for all of us to enjoy. I'm just using final fantasy as a branching off point. I'm hoping when you guys get comfy enough with this we can branch off to other games that offer a character making feature. I'm only saying that you should at least ask here to prevent clutter on the social section and so we can decide for ourselves to go along with it. It's your choice. I'm won't force you guys and make you do this. I just want to bring all of us closer as a community.

If your wondering, I haven't started any of the three files yet. I'm waiting for enough people to cooperate first. In final fantasy, I to set up all four at once. The other two I can do passively, but it gets dangerous for the new guys when there's a time gap between character. Unlike other rpgs, Crystal Chronicles and Tactics' enemies match the level of the party's strongest character. The only file that would be relatively safe is in Tactics and only on story battles. The story battle enemies are at a fixed level unlike the random battles.

Okay, here's the well needed character making Tutorial for Final Fantasy Tactics:

Part One: About Your added characters.
Spoiler: show
Final Fantasy Tactics is a tactical role-playing game. In this game, your allowed to make new characters to help you on your file. These characters are blank slates, and will have no learned skills and the two default jobs. Squire and Chemist. This is useful when you want to personalize your file. You can make as many as you want as long as you have the Gil (Currency of the game) and the space in your party. Your permited to have at most around 16 people. Your free to remove character from your file except story characters. Unfortunately, these blank slates, will always start at lv1 regardless of how far in the game your in. Because of that it's best to make these characters when your at the beginning. They way you can build your characters without road bumps.
Part Two: What to expect, when buying your character.
Spoiler: show
When you buy your new (yet to be named) character, they will show you a little chart. It contains, their stats, their faith, bravery, and a random zodiac sign. Your probably wondering what's with the last three. Bravery factors in a few areas. Your physical strength, your refexes, and your attack power when your use martial arts. Faith is like bravery, but with magic. It affects your magic (offense and defense) and how likely your going to be affected by abnormal stats. Too high or too low of faith will make your character leave the party. This game has some religious themes. The Zodiac doesn't factor in too much except an attack bonus. Have a party members that are compatible, will improve their team dynamics by increasing their attack and accuracy as far as I remember. Incompatible members, do the opposite. When you see a combination of these aspects you like, you can buy and name your character.
Part Three: Jobs
Spoiler: show
There are a total of 18 job classes in this game. Some are easy to obtain others aren't so much. As mentioned before, you start off with Squire and Chemist. To get the more stronger or cooler jobs you need experience with other jobs. Chemists lead to more jobs related to magic. Squires lead to the path of the warrior. When you get enough experience with what appears to be random jobs, special ones become available. The most elusive ones to obtain are the bard(men only), the dancer(female only), or mime. They require that you have a lot of experience with just about with most if or all the jobs. Out of the 18 jobs there are five that look like more of a novelty, Mediators, Mimes, Bards, Dancers and Calculators. Mediator do the same role as our admin/moderators through talking. There are other talking relate skills for this job that are interesting, but you'll have to the see the job guide I will supply (again) to get more details. The mime repeats the
attack that was last executed regardless of casting/charge time. The calculator improves magic with the power of math. Seems strange, but it does alot as magic support. Bards and Dancer perform for attacks. Each song/dance does a different effect and damage to all the enemies, but it takes awhile to get ready. I mentioned these because the job/monster ally info video won't mention these jobs. On a final note, each job have unique traits that you can use without the need of equiping it when your assigned to that job. You can have those traits equiped, but depending on the type you can equip only one. For the list of traits and job skills, please consult the job guide that will be posted after the tutorial.
Part Four: Building your character.
Spoiler: show
I'm going to put aside what's best for the character to wear because that's really defined by the maker of the file. The only thing I can say is if you want a character to use a weapon/armor that's outside your job's allowed equip, there's simple way to remedy that. There are support traits, that for just about every job class that will allow you to use their weapon, and have it for another job you want to be in. Moving on, the best job is a matter of preference. If you go for a job you like you can't go wrong. It's best to have your favorite be your main job and the other one you like the best is the sub job. But, if you like the natural traits of your sub job more and don't want to equip the trait. Just swap what will be your main job. Once your satisfied with your job, your next step will be your job traits. There are three types of traits Response, Support, and Move. Response is your conditioned reflex. Depending on what you equip, you'll have a
different reflex that's meant for when your enemy attacks. Different responses, react to different enemy moves. Support skills are the equipable versions of the distinct unique traits that associate with different jobs. There are a rainbow of traits that let you do different things. Like equip weapons that are normally associated with other jobs or improve areas like your stats or your casting and charging time. Finally, walking traits reflect your movement. Some traits improve your mobility, find stuff as you travel, fly, and even teleport. Find one you like and things get a lot more convenient. Remember, pick traits to reflect your jobs or how you play. Otherwise, there will be problems for your character.
If you decide to make a character here's a templet to share how you want it to be setted up.

Name:
Sign:
Main Job:
Sub Job:
Response Skills:
Support Skills:
Move Skills:

-----------------------
( If any new people see this, please keep in mind of that TEMPLATE and USE IT. It would be easy on to catch the whole setup and for other people that may use these character setups for their own TMM themed Final Fantasy game save file. I will enclose Txt files data of all the jobs as well as for all of the response, support, and move skills.)

It may be surprising who picks what as their three poll options.

To those who care: I reworded my special request a little so it makes more sense.

To anyone that wants to know.

The main reasons I want to do this is rather simple:

1. I want to be able to go on a proper adventure with the friends I make, but it's not about me.

2. I want to give means for everyone to be on adventures even outside RPs.

3. I want to be able to let you guys have your adventures with friends you make as well so everyone can be together, even in spirit for the times we can't be together directly.

4. I also thought it would be a really go way to promote forum unity and a source of inspiration while we work together in increasing our database of potential friends and allies to our future adventures.

For Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Spoiler: show
Character:Bandito
Games:Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Dominant Job Class: Alchemist (hey, Alchemist was the family I picked, figured it'd go in this slot.)
Race: Male Selkie (Casting Slow on me? That's a paddlin'.), Wolfie appearance (if I got the name for the appearance right). If that's taken, just use the Shark one the full name of which I've forgotten because it's been an aeon since I last played. X_X
Sub Job Class: Make sure he gets at least a Fire/Blizzard/Thunder Ring and a Life Ring if possible, 'cause I'm pretty sure I had those (Dammit Rebena Te Ra) for any Holy/Gravity needs. Believe me, it is worth the pain and anguish to get them.
Specific Traits: I got a lot of freakin' Pocket items.
And if you want my Clavat lass from FF:CC:RoF or EoT, I'll need to hunt down that game, but I'm pretty happy with her.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game that has a Shakespearean like way of story telling.

Aside from the cameo character, there's a dragon girl in there as a bonus character, you can make your own playable characters and even have monsters as your allies.

With your playable allies that you made, you would be able to have your friends in the game. Anyway, it's well worth playing and can be a lot of fun.

I'd be a chocobo trainer and supply you all with mounts for the ongoing battles. Most of my attacks and skills probably will involve healing, magic protection, speed, and wind.

For those who are interested in seeing it.

My youtube channel seems to be growing in popular. From that, I made a decision.

This could serve an additional purpose for inserting yourselves in FFT. Once I reach 500 subscribers, I will be doing a lets play of Final Fantasy Tactics, along with that, it will be a custom character run where I will be having my entire party comprised of people from here who have made character set ups for Final fantasy Tactics.

If you want a chance to be added along with this possible lets play, try making your own character setups. If you are not sure, even with my little tutorial, I'll help you make your character. Just leave a PM or YIM message and I'll help you out.

Him... It seems like I forgot to mention what are my job class for FF1.

If Rezeed Doesn't Fit, just stick with Rez or Almos. My job class would easily Fit Red Mage, but Knight is a better fit for me.

(Feathers: Please don't bump and sticky an already dead thread.)
