Re: Thunder Bird
Well, after reading the profile carefully, I have to say that it really fits the myth, except for the excerpt describing how emotions can backfire them. Lets see, The Thunderbird in the myth...
-It is described as a large bird.
-It is capable of creating storms and thundering while it flies.
-Clouds are pulled together by its wingbeats and the sound of thunder made by its wings clapping.
-The thunderbird was believed to be able to shoot lightning from its eyes.
- It is intelligent, powerful, and wrathful.
- You better keep from getting a thunderbird angry.
-They could shapeshift into human form.
- Sometimes, thunderbirds in human form married into human families
- Thunderbirds are extremely overprotective with their families, when someone tries to harm their families, the thunderbirds transformed back into their huge "Thunderbird Warform" and took revenge upon the poor fools who dared to hurt their relatives.
Now, strictly speaking, the Thunderbird is like the "badass" American Version of the Ryu.
So with the exception of the emotions backfiring them (and the clothes) the profile is quite right. Not all harpies have to be polite, dudes, she IS THE damn THUNDERBIRD!
P.S. Anybody else got this feeling that she looks like a mix of Edna and Gene Simmons?

There are those who would scorn good-natured people. Even if God himself will
not show his face, a heartful person will one day take God's place in
visiting Judgement upon them. This is what is known as "Divine Retribution"

Re: Thunder Bird
Very understandable. I know the feeling of seeing a monster girl based off of a favorite mythological being, to find it very inacurate. I can't help but think, though... there must be more to her than we know, right now. (Based on what Hood said.) Her profile could be more accurate to the mythological creature she's based on than we think, at this moment. We just don't yet, because the profile isn't translated.Kaijin wrote:.P.S.: But mythologically wise, she's nothing but crap... I understand that he's not gonna make carbon copies of the original myths and folklores... but heck, if you're basing a creations of yours on a mythologic creature at the very least try to give it a similiarity at the very least... It's not so hard dangit... And he even managed to nail that concept a few times in the past (by mere luck I'm affraid) as seen with Merrow, Selkie and a few of the Zipangu specimens...

I actually like this one. It looks like every ones favorite pop star Siren will have a rival in the form of a rock star Thunder Bird (the mermaids microphone just keeps shorting out).

More like Shinryu. Now, strictly speaking, the Thunderbird is like the "badass" American Version of the Ryu.
(MGE Ryu despite being called after a "commoner" is actually based on deity: Shen Long/Shinryu)
.P.S.: Shoot... I nearly forgot something.
Allow me to give you a little homework activity then (it's not even necessary that you answer me).chock-full of references to RPG's in general.
-Start playing Final Fantasy V until you get to find Lamias (the most basic ones) as enemies.
-Then stop playing and look MGE's Lamia profile.
Reference? Or something way beyond that?
Feathers,August 16th, 2014And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.

If I should fall to rise no more,
As many comrades did before,
Then ask the fifes and drums to play.
Over the hills and far away.

Evil!? Meee!?...no! no I will not accept that, we are conditioned simply to survive, we can only survive by becoming the only dominant species. When all other lifeforms have been suppressed when we are the only dominant race in the universe. Then we shall have peace, wars will end.

*Whistle*
If the scratch is that good, I can't wait to see the final version. I love her expression; looks much better than the rape-esque face of the original profile.

Boltgasm? But yea damn, if sex with her is mind blowing, I'm pretty sure I'd have the same pathetic expression on my face like the angel from MGQ had when raping Luka

I'd call it an ohmgasm. Not that there's going to be much resistance the next time -- or the time after that, or the time after that.

Yeah, looking good. <---- Said with Duke Nukem's voice
I pressume we'll be seeing the colored one next. Can't wait for it. After all, she looks much cuter and lest ohmgasmic there.

Yes, his brain would probably explode from the amount of electricity flowing toward it.Pokemonaces wrote:Sex with her is mind blowing

Remember kiddies, just because a girl gives off electricity and wants to have sex with you, does not necessarily mean that you'll be able to stand all that voltage. This isn't the early Pokemon anime -___-
