So, it's Hindu mythology time? (although, if mind serves, I believe she's present in Buddhism too...)
And it seems that KK listened to the prayers of someone wishing for a new harpy, heheh.....
The part that surprises me is that, the Gandharvas were, like, the male versions of the Apsaras. So, why didn't KK do an Apsaras instead?

That's how ninjas do it!
Anyway, it seems KK has been quite random with his mythologies lately; no way to figure what he'll do next, heh.

Whoa, Shin Megami Tensei showed me this one before, heh.

I'm mixed with the design, but no major complaints.
Can't stop thinking of Gandharva as males though. The myth is already branded into me thanks to other games.

I... uh... I like her... I like her a lot.
You can see KC has improved his harpy design massively compared to his original Harpy and even his Siren. The wings are actually more realistic looking now. Does anyone think he'll ever go back to Harpy, Black Harpy, Crow Tengu and Siren (didn't miss any, did I?) and bring them up to standard?

In my opinion the Siren is still cuter and sexier than all of the other harpies. I don't see a standard to bring up her to myself. ^_^ But hey that's just me, I like the older MGE entries better.

Interesting design, I must say...
First, I'd like to take note of the thing that seems to be hanging around her neck. What is that? Is it an instrument of some sort? Specifically a type of guitar? I can point out ALL the flaws in the design for that instrument alone (like how there are five strings, yet three pegs shown that could be used for tuning), but really, the main for me is: How would she PLAY that thing? Either it's for decoration, or she can change her form to look like that of a human (lest she's able to use her feet, somehow). But I also noticed some "fingers" on her wings, so that makes me really curious.
I'm really curious to find out what this monster girl's like, though knowing that the Gandharva is originally a male, then I wonder if it could possibly be a harpy variant of the alp?

Actually, look at her wings. there are two talons on each wing.
Also as far as the pegs are concerned, they could be split into 2:2:1. It's not unheard of.

If I´m not mistaken, the thing that most resemble that instrument is called a "veena",
an ancient Indian "harp/lute-type instrument" which was later modified into what nowadays
is called a "Sitar".
Veena

As you have already noticed, the harpy seems to have fingers (two visible plus a mandatory
hidden thumb) where her wings curve, which is more or less at the length where a regular
humanoid hand would be.

To add more data to the debate, Gandharvas are described to posses the features of either
a horse (a centaur) or, like in this case, a bird. Personally, it would have been better for the
artist to depict the Gandharva as a centaur musician and leave behind possible anatomical
difficulties. He could them make a harpy dancer Apsara companion, even though Apsaras are
often portrayed as nymphs/elementals/blue-skinned humanoid divinities.
However, should the author make just a little bit of research, a thing that seems to be out of his
boundaries more often than not, he would eventually come across another creature from Hinduism
called a
"Kinnara" which is a creature with many striking similarities to the one portrayed in this pages.
For instance, the Kinnara (kinnari being the female counterparts) is described as either a centaur
or an avian depending on the location the myth originates ( the former for India, the latter for the
rest of South-east Asia), and again among its attributes is being a prolific singer and dancer.
Alas, we could have a centaur musician Gandharva, a harpy dancer Kinnara, and an elemental
singer Apsara in one whole rush...but only from another artist. Pity.
Well enough rant for tonight.
EDIT:
I'm going to be the immature pervert and say it's those pointy things on her boobs...
If this
weren´t the MGE I would say those things would be some sort of anti-groping
defence suit.
Regards.

Can't stop thinking of Gandharva as males though.
Because he is... Gandharva is Apsara's husband as far as my limited hindu mythology knowledge allows me to recall.
Truth to be told I'll have a hard time adjusting to this particularly uncalled-for genderswap... but oh well... It won't be the last hindu god to lose the Y chromosome that's for sure...(Shiva, better get used to your new future...).

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't minotuars male? I don't really see this as unneeded to be honest.

Minotaur was originally male...
But the situation is vastly different IMHO, it's not the same to genderswap a maze roaming monster... than genderswap a friggin' god.
Even if the situation happens to be the same... it feels more... gear grinding.
...Not to mention than in a mythology so fascinating, rich and full of gorgeous
goddesses the first thing that comes into mind is ignore them alltogether and pull of a Midnight Bliss on a god. ^^U
.P.S.: But then again this is
my personal opinion, so feel free to disagree or debate it as long it's in a civil manner and always having the site's ruleset into consideration.

Don't really see it as a big deal honestly. I mean, coming into the MGE, one would think and expect that any and all MGs would be sexy female versions of what was seen in their original myth in terms of look. The new gal here seems no different in that regard.
