Well this came completely out of left field. I don't know, she looks kinda weird to me, but we'll what and see what her profile is like.

Welp... If she wasn't mentioned as a beetle i would have certainly never guessed, except for the upper ornament she weids as a weapon i guess.

There are a couple of things wrong with this design, and they are MAYUSCULE things: It's way overkill. The whole thing would have looked perfect if it was only the girl, the strange lower body, which i will get at, makes it rather difficult to discern each part of the whole thing. And the arthropod-esque lower body... It's just spider-esque. It doesn't relate, nor does look anything like a beetle. Most anthropomorphic six-legged insects are like that FOR A REASON. You need to either, have the lower body on three properly arranged pairs of legs, or not have it. Heck, what are those stubs? Where are my Glaives, the same used on Devil Bug and Khepri?

I just hope they do not serve a queen, or i will be far too dissapointed.

I do love the eyes though. And it would appear she can detach from her horrendous crab-like set of legs.

It ALMOST looks like the claws aren't a part of her body, like she's holding onto them with her hands. Bizarre MG to be sure...

Design wise... She sure is badass looking, but also quite inaccurate...
...as her design is way closer to a stag beetle than to an actual solider beetle...

...unless the "soldier" part in her name actually alludes to the word soldier (and more than possible role/trait in the setting) rather than the actual species... which is also possible though.
Nevertheless is a nice start to begin with, I'll save my two cents until her profile is fully translated but it looks promising so far.

It's good that he making more MG's based off real life creatures like the Ant Aranchne,b she's very unique.

Somehow she give me the Okayado vibe. Must be the eyes

I think this is actualy the case, especially since her left arm seems to be holding a shield instead of a sword. I also spot a finger in between the pincers on her right arm, and the eyes are very nice indeed.

Look a liiiittle closer and you will realize a couple of things more. Yes she is actually holding it as a weapon, and it is very similar in design to a push dagger or Katar, but also. Like mantis have two scythes attached to her wrists, this one seems to have two shields (though one far more prominent than the other.)

I wanted to say the same, but because the front legs remind me of Rachnera's pedipalps.

Wow ya definitely reminds me of an Okayado type (and I like Rachna a lot as it is), I love her eyes and think she is really cute!

That makes four of us; the Okayado vibes are strong in this one (Specially those front legs, and her hair). Wonder if he's been taking inspiration from Monster Musume, hehe.

Looking at the comparison, I do wonder if KC simply overlooked the anatomical correctness that should've been properly applied.

You're right, she looks like she could quickly bisect her enemies with ease if need be... just a matter of getting the right colour scheme for an uncanny resemblance...

That would most likely be the case. He even drew fanart.

Wow her lover body design reminds me of a stag bettle or scarab but I'm getting the Starship Trooper bug vibe espeically those pincers.

And from closer glance it looks like the Pincers are removable gaultlets type weapons due to see a palm on her left hand if you look closely but I'll reserve judgement until after I see the bio on her.

Seems like I'll be the one to make this reference: Cast Off! Change Beetle!

Mine was for the show Kamen Rider Kabuto. The main Rider of that series has a beetle as his motif. I have an old thread for Kamen Rider in the media section of the site.
