Etiquette in the Profiles
Point One
Don't post flames or hatred towards the girls in the profiles. We post them here for your enjoyment so you can discuss the ones you like. If you don't like a profile then preferable don't comment and find a profile that you like instead to discuss. Have some consideration for the users who come there to discuss their favorite girl and who don't want to see hate posts around. If you feel a terrible urge to post and point out that you don't like a certain girl then do so once and point out what you don't like about her and why, don't post disturbing things that you want to do to her "if she ever tried to get me" because no one is interested to read those.
Point Two
Don't claim that your view is canon and that everyone else is an idiot. These profiles were written VERY vaguely and are full of contradictions when taken together with the setting documents. Thus there is no true evidence to back up your claims. Everything posted here is just an opinion of the poster and in no way shape or form represent the truth of the setting since the only one who can claim to know canon is the Kenkou himself/herself. Everyone's opinion is equal here.
Point Three
No faction arguments please. Don't even start saying who is better and what not, because honestly none of the sides in MGE are better, certain sides just appeal more to different people based on their personal preferences and ideologies. This is fantasy porn after all so don't take things too seriously.
Point Four
Do not post threads to specifically discuss why you DON'T like the MGE setting. These threads derail and cause shit storms and arguments. If you want to discuss this sort of thing take it to PMs or off site please.
__________
If any of you have suggestions on what other points to add, then feel free to add your suggestions here, these are just the things that tend to cause the most friction from past experiences.

Order vs. Demon Lord wars in threads.GorgonMage wrote:Excuse me but what do you mean by this? Can you give an example?Severontous wrote:How about no faction arguments. That is a high precedence one right there.
What not to do:
"The demon lord will corrupt everyone and seduce the Order, muhahaha!"
"No, the Order will kill all the evil succubus monster girls and the Order will triumph!"
I believe it's all about keeping faction opinions undirected at members basically. If I'm wrong, please corrected me, Tsar or Sev.

Re: Etiquette in the Profiles
I remember lots of times on MGU when there was some sort of discussion in which a "faction war" started, and if not that then a "morality war". Either way, it never ended well.

Re: Etiquette in the Profiles
Yeah, and also taking someone's opinion and twisting into something in order to (deliberately) start an argument is another thing we don't want to see here. (unless of course the two parties are fine with it)
Mods will be required to investigate issues before taking action with this kind of thing, so don't worry about mods randomly deleting your posts. We won't be taking sides from our own moral perspectives, but if someone reports someone else for starting an unnecessary argument with them, a mod may ask that it stops. If it escalates to all out flame wars, posts may be deleted and warnings may be given. I trust that won't happen though. After all, everyone I've seen here so far is intelligent and mature enough to not do that. ^^

So you're talking about something like the loli war of MGU. Where people were divided on the issue of the loli and the insults flew thick and fast.

These all seem to be fair

Re: Etiquette in the Profiles
I'm guessing that tying people up and leaving them at the mercy of their unfavorite monstergirl would be a really bad move too? It's fun to RP that kind of stuff but it gets annoying really fast.
I like the idea of not posting in the monstergirl threads that we don't like. Speaking for myself, there's a handful of monstergirls that I just don't like. But rather than upset anyone I just don't go into those threads. I find it keeps the peace better than stating why I don't like them would.

Yes, Yes, I know I said a stupid thing. I promise I wont do it again. I know what I was suggesting in my post was against the rules. It was a stupid spur of the moment thing I thought up at random and I realize its not funny.

It's alright. I was just kidding. Personally I thought it was funny but I'm afraid not everyone else did and it was kind of unkind to do that to someone. I guess that not everyone can see things the same way I see them.Chaos wrote:*sighs, hanging head*

Re: Etiquette in the Profiles
I know it was in jest, and that you meant no harm by it. The person who is the target of it might not always see it as such. Still, the thing is that it's easier to stop something from becoming a big problem than to fix a big problem. Think of it like a little crack in a dam. We want to fix the crack before the whole dam comes down. It's better to make sure that things like that don't happen, even if it is a joke, so there will be less chance of a war breaking out later on.
I thought that love had given up on me...but while I was here, I found that love had different shapes and was in different places. I experienced so many types of love. After traveling this world, I can say this for certain: I love monster girls! --Shuu from To the World of MGE

I've been talking to a few Mods and we've come to the conclusion that it might be better if you avoid posting on profiles of monstergirls you dislike entirely. No matter how carefully you word your post you're BOUND to upset someone and start a war. Better to just leave it alone and keep the peace.
Can't we just all accept that not everyone likes the same stuff we like and let it go?

Last I talked to the mods none of them were supposed to come to any conclusion until I looked over it and signed it. And this conclusion never even got to my table so far. While I do believe it is important to not openly flame a MG, shutting down people's opinion on her altogether is not reasonable either. If a person dislikes a MG, he/she can post they dislike her, they can even say why they dislike her to justify their opinion, however, that's as far as it should go... anyway I feel like I am restating Point One here again...
Anyway, I am not going to come after people who upset just one or two people, those people can just block the person instead. The only way I would ever hand out warnings is if someone was disturbing a lot of people and was refusing to act with decency... that said I have never met someone like that on this forum yet.

Re: Etiquette in the Profiles
I'm a little worried I may have given the wrong impression here. I certainly wasn't trying to go behind your back by talking to the mods. We just had a casual conversation and decided that we personally feel it is unwise to make your dislike of a monstergirl too public. And I'm only talking about a very small number of people. As always your ruling is the last say in the matter Tsar. I was just trying to avoid another loli war like the one that happened on MGU when someone who shall remain nameless was very vocal in their dislike of lolis and demons.Tsar CUBE wrote:...GorgonMage wrote:I've been talking to a few Mods and we've come to the conclusion that it might be better if you avoid posting on profiles of monstergirls you dislike entirely.
