The Monster Multiverse

There's an older Genesis song called "The Fountain of Salmacis". It talks about the creature of a lake that longs for a lover to be one with her. Her description is very similar to an undine. I actually have a half finished short story based on the song.

I wonder if Undine would actually do that out of love and not out of the sheer purpose of punishing them.
