That actually sounds pretty awesome Sev. I want to try this game now. I LOVE Random Dungeons! Is it hard to set it up, since its JP and all? I think it may be better (for me) to wait for the US release if it's a chore to set up.

Follow this guys instructions to the nose, you will need to create a SEGA of japan ID account, then download the downloader (lol) which downloads the actual game launcher much faster. Once you have the launcher you will click the third button down to update the patches.

For the english patch. You will just extract it to the pso2 folder when you get it

If I am trying "this" hard to get you in there is no way in hell I am going to let you cop out on me.

As I said before, if they do not region lock their servers when the western versions do come out I am probably NOT going to switch due to the fact that we all know with SEGA that japan will have content that the western variants will never have. Besides the community is better, almost no hackers or jerks.

I think the 'hardest' part of playing on JP server is registering a JP Sega ID. It's really like setting up an account on other websites, you just gotta know what info goes into what boxes. Here is a visual guide from Kotaku.com, detailing what buttons to click, which boxes to fill in etc.

If you need help at some point (if you decided to give jp PSO 2 a try), let me know and i can give a walk-through via a livestream if you are having troubles.

@Rappy pics, oh, is that what PSO2 rappies look like? Looks more like PSZero's rappies than PSO's.

Personally, I liked PSO's rappies better.

Okay I made an account and should have the game by tomorrow. Then I'll try the patching stuff. ^^;

EDIT: I have the game now, but wow, this launcher has the longest update in the history of MMOs I've played.

Still can't play yet. I wish there was an interface patch though, I can't read anything to set my graphics and stuff. I found a guide here though.

It is taking a long time because it is downloading from a japanese terminal. =(
I don't know which button you clicked, but for the fastest and safest update you should click the button under the options (third one down) in the launcher.
At least that is how it worked for me.
After that you can use the translation patch and perhaps it will be more barable for you.
In the game itself the graphics menu and what not will be translated, that link has it untranslated.

Well after four whole hours this is where I'm at and my connection is 900 Kbps. Funny the game downloaded in only 2 hours and it was 3.2 GB. This patch must be massive (or has a really slow/busy patch server). ^^;

And there are 3 classes and subclasses for those classes. In september there will be more independent classes.

I actually just edited my post because I tried that and it helped, right before you replied. I made a mistake and patched it BEFORE the launcher patched. :/

If so it is most likely asking for you to make a player name.

EDIT: Wait nvm derp.

Close the game, reopen the launcher, on the launcher menu click the 2nd button down then click on the thrid tab. You will see three bullet select options.
The second one is fullscreen.

Is there a way to lower the mouse sensitivity and change the camera (I want zoom in on my character for obvious reasons)? Right now my mouse moves so fast I can't even control it good. I see no setting for sensitivity though.

Well now all of the UI should be in english. While in game open the main menu. Go to settings or options and you will see everything. Just browse around through the configurations. As for the character zoom, you will find that in keyboard config.
Personally I couldn't care the zoom.
