I just got a ''offline'' version just to try it out the Single Player Mode; MMO mode doesn't work yet. And yeah, I assure you that you'll love it; there's a 900% chance of that. Can't wait to play it together with everyone!

One of many advantages of playing with friends- to avoid the griefers, thieves, and trolls.

Haha I don't have any friends that play CoD. Most of them play Pokemon, LoL, or Borderlands.

All we need to do now is to learn how to set up that secure Starbound server..

Just for bragging, here's my epic base, and my Apex char:

I scavenged all that cool stuff from a gigantic Apex ruin I found, including those cool glasses my char wears.

Im thinking of buying this, but something that turned me off was no regenerating health like in terraria, granted terraria's hp regen was actually necessary to survival since there was only potions and mushrooms as healing items, and those were limited unless you had an underground farm.

so is there any sort of regen in this game? since If there isn't I will spend like 75% of my time hunting for food, which I do in almost all games that you can hunt (minecraft with 7 stacks of 64 pork meat before I even built my first HOUSE for an example) (another example is having accumulated 8.000$ dollars before I even began to go along with the story, I love hunting! :happyness: )

There are red stim packs which give regeneration, and bandages which regenerate your health, and you can also regain your health by sleeping in a bed.

Just a heads up; MGU has a server that's open-access for anyone who's interested. We've got a thread up under "MGU Gaming Community > Starbound" that explains how to get in, and how to install the modpacks it uses. Feel free to join in; we'd actually enjoy some more company there... space gets kinda lonely.

Been playing Starbound like crazy lately. Seriously, this game's even more addictive than Skyrim. And after I found I can have all my chars to live in the same place, I have been building a BIG, BIG Home Base on a nice T5 Jungle Planet at Sector X. Can't wait for the new features to come out, specially those Wrecked Ship dungeons full of Super Metroid nostalgia that are rumored to show up soon.

So, anyway, behold my BIG, BIG BASE:
New Epic Base 2.JPG
And I'm still adding new stuff!

Also, you can see my Apex, Hylotl and Avian chars in there. I'm thinking of making either a Glitch or a Floran next....

Heh, and mine's still nothing compared to some bases you see floating around the net. Specially since mine's mostly made of craftable blocks. I've seen some GIGANTIC ones (so big they make mine look like a tiny shack) made of that kind of blocks that can only be obtained by dismantling a specific dungeon, every time I see one of those I can't help but think: ``Holy Poos! How many dungeons did they knock down to build that!?´´.
