Questions:

1. Is it possible to put mods on the server? (Such as new texture packs or follower packs like the Little Maid Mod)
2. Has anything major been added in the last 2 years?
3. Anyone else interested in joining us? ^_^

1. No, unfortunately not. The actual server software is all managed my Mojang themselves and they aren't planning on adding mod support anytime soon, but if they do add it sometime i'll look into it. Resource packs i'm not sure about, those run clientside so i don't think it would cause many issues.

2. In the last 2 years? Oh yes, so much. Some more redstone stuffs, bunnies, more building blocks, new types of stone, more flowers, underwater temples, some extra potions, fences and doors that match the wood they're made of, carpets, and quite a bit more.

I find it really weird that about two weeks ago I updated minecraft and now this... if you don't mind adding me I'll be up for adventuring.

Is the harpy king planning on building a sky castle? Because that would be pretty sweet.

I'm currently making some lit roads to and from spawn, to help with navigation and stuff.

I think right now would be a good time to show y'all my lovely holliday retreat.
Located on a beach, it has an excellent view of the sunset. Those banners on the front were a right hassle to make.

Quite often actually, we just happen to miss each other all the time. I've got an overview of all the player activity on this server, so i can see who's on and at what time.

I need a suit of armor first. Archers are making me their target practice. I feel like a clay pigeon. X_X Am reading up on recipes now, because I forgot some things about this game.

The rail system is now long enough to get the "On a Rail" achievement, and will be making a little station in a very, very, very pretty area, and horses have been spotted over there.

Nice, i'm sort of hunting for achivements right now, so that's another one off the list. Plus, i've already made some preparations for getting a horse, because i found a saddle in that abandoned mineshaft. (Though i'd prefer a mule, having extra storage space while still being pretty fast. But since those don't spawn naturally, i'll have to breed one first)

Haven't done too much building wise, don't have any ideas, but it's fun exploring as always.

One thing i usually start with is decorating my house so that it looks just the way i like it. In doing so i try to make something that matches the scenery, in this case my house is located on the beach, so i made a lovely beach house with a little pier facing the sunset.
For a mountaintop like yours i'd recommend a small keep or watchtower. A large waterfall or waterslide might also be fun.^^

Also, the enchanting area can be used now. It's got 18 bookshelves around it, so it's already pretty beefed out.
(i got fortune III on my diamond pick, mining coal has never been such a breeze^^)
It's located in the big library just south of spawn. (Though right now it's become more of a town hall than a library)

I never saw the draw to making a big house myself, since I usually play like a vagabond. I usually leave strings of hideouts, tunnels, bridges, pathways, etc, where I wander at though. When it comes down to it as a person, I lack creativity, but I make it up for it with innovation.

So, I recently started replaying the game for version 1.8.1 after so long of being away from the game, and now I feel like I gotta relearn everything. I mean I still remember some basics, but all this new stuff I've missed since like... 1.6 I think it was? Maybe even sooner, ummm it was before redstone changed-- Anyway yeah. Just all this has me all confused, all this new fancy redstone stuff, and biomes, and banners and blocks... yeah... ^^;

Yeah don't even know the first thing about redstones myself. I heard people were making mini hard drives with it and everything..
