Was too Maple Story'ish for my liking. I never could get into a 2D game like this, especially not in multiplayer.

It's side scrolling, but trust me, it's overall more interesting than maple story. For one thing, there are MGs present in the game. Infact, one of the sprites you've uploaded in the gallery came from that game. The sprites are of good quality and paces better than maple story. You would really like the artistic direction the game itself offers. Especially, with the character portraits.

A nice thing about it is that you won't find as many creeps/bad things you would find in maple story(IE; scammers, KSers, hackers, area hogs, excessive lag, etc.). Also you can actually run.

Here's a video to give you an idea of what the game is like:

Keep in mind this video talks about an early version of the game.(There has been many updates since that video was made.)

Yeah I know, I tried the game because of the sprites a couple years ago. It just wasn't fun for me. The best game of this type is probably Elsword (from what Sev tells).

Funny enough, I never had to worry about spending real money. There were events that gave freebies from there and all sorts of neat goodies.

I remember one event on a christmas theme event, I kept getting lip marks(accessory) that represented a story character's kiss. Apparently, I was the one that got the most kiss mark out of the users. If I didn't knew any better, you could think this character likes me.

I played it a years ago myself(before I became a part of the MG community), had a lot of fun, but sadly couldn't always access the game. I respect it's not your cup of tea and I'm sorry you couldn't have fun in it. Maybe you would have had some fun if we had met each other in the game back then.

I edited my post before you replied, it was actually not a cash shop game.

If you want to try it I could give it another shot. No promises that I'd enjoy it though, I tend to get bored of MMOs quickly these days. ^^; My main peeve is when my friends level past me or deck themselves out in expensive cash shop gear. Why? Because I dislike being weak and having a disadvantage. I enjoy an equal leveling experience. This is a ridiculous request though, and I wouldn't bother asking anyone to do it because they would not listen anyway. ^_^ This is why I prefer Offline RPGs like Tales of with friends, we are ALWAYS on equal leveling grounds and if my friends try to deck themselves with our money (and not me), I will complain like crazy.

I'm actually asking my dad if he would let me play this game every now and then on his computer.(He oddly enough is okay with it. Can't guarantee I always be on there, but I can manage possibly once or twice a week. Maybe more since my little brother has school coming up).

If you want, I can help you out. I maxed my character slots, but I do have a true low level character I most use for crafting item purposes. If I remember correctly, it was in the early teens. I could hook you up with some nice gear for your selected job class and train with you. Since you would have more access to the game than I do, I am certain you can easily shoot past me in levels. If I remember correctly, it only took me about an hour or two so just to get to level 10 with my crafting character.

Thankfully, the crafting system is reliable enough to make good weapons when you don't have the money to get a similar type of equipment from a shop. If anything, it's good to leave a character slot for a character you will craft with so you can use it for making money a little easier or get what you need potentially a little faster.
