Terraria!

So, with 1.2 dropping into our laps a week ago, Terraria suddenly became relevant again. So I have to ask: Anyone else here play it? And perhaps we can try making a server for this?

As for those who haven't... let me give you some reasons. Wings. At least one friendly Monstergirl. Lots of biomes to explore. And it's available on Steam.

I tried, but the excessive clicking killed my wrist and I quit. It seemed to be more about button mashing and adventuring than building from my (short) experience though, so I couldn't see it as a Minecraft clone.

I have it on steam, got the update, haven't really played the update yet, have already got as far as the game went on 1.1, I will play if a server is made for the monster multiverse members, as long as there is no griefing im in.

I don't understand...almost all if not all things you can do in the game can be done by holding the button down, placing blocks, atacking and mining/getting wood

2D minecraft with a twist, its more of an action building RPG, since there's bosses and enemies to kill, weapons to be made and magic to be acquired

Well, if you really want to know- The years of FPS games took its toll on my median nerves. Also, a broken wrist from a bike accident weakened my other wrist it since it was permanently damaged (along with a shoulder injury that cuts off blood flow to my entire arm). So yeah, I can't hold down the mouse long anymore or my arm goes numb. :( This makes it a pain to type too, so I stick to controller games or slow paced point/click games these days. Aaanyways, enough about my problems it's making me depressed.. :o

I'm still hoping they add a friendly Harpy, that could make this worth it for me, at least to see her in action!

Well, if you have a 360, it's available on there too.

@Flare: Read my PM please.

Scrap: Ah, not a problem man. ^^; It's something I'm used to dealing with.

If I could play with a controller that would be great, but I still want a Harpy. >_<

Yeah, I originally bought the game because I saw this: http://terraria.wikia.com/wiki/Mod:Harpy_Aura

(The reason why I would never play XB version is because mods like that are not possible.)

I like pets because it takes stress off my wrist, and I love harpy companions, so it seemed like a good idea at the time to buy the game (on Steam sale). I hoped for updates, but alas, nothing happened with it. :( The game was only $2 though, so no big loss.

yeah, mods in games like Terraria and Minecraft are what keep the games alive, the consoles versions might be easier to find servers and all, but hey, PC got them mods

Wasn't that supposed to be out last year?

I don't recall that. 1.2.4 was put in last year though..

This is the earliest I've even seen 1.3 mentioned.

Now, was it just me, or did I see a Medusa, and a Lamia?

After watching that, I literally laughed out loud and said "Oh my god." It'll be like playing a new game again.

This is the update that adds the grid tool for easier building right?

It was so satisfying to boot up the game and see all these achievements pop up.
