Re: Anteal
I must say, your artwork for the mermaid makes her lower body seem more fishlike then the mermaids of myth. I also like how there are two types of mermaids, which adds a little variety to things. Overall, it's a very interesting take.

Re: Anteal
Okay, they're not so much types as being different cultural groups within the same species. That's what I meant. But I'm glad you're interested. The Sky Devourer wrote:I must say, your artwork for the mermaid makes her lower body seem more fishlike then the mermaids of myth. Re: Anteal
I'll just add another vehicle here. BEfore I started drawing monster-girls, I drew some vehicles. I still have a couple more drawn and I plan to draw some more. I'll add them to my miscellaneous category.
It's called the NT-1.

I know I haven't been updating lately. I'm busy writing for my bachelor's degree. 40 pages... never written so much in my life, but there's a first time for everything I guess...
While you wait, have another of my vehicles, the heavy gunship ZPV-9:

How many moons does Anteal have? Does the moon or moons have an atmosphere or is it airless?

I haven't decided yet on the number of moons but they're probably airless.revanwolff wrote:How many moons does Anteal have? Does the moon or moons have an atmosphere or is it airless?

Wow...looking at all this...how long did it take you to create this? I mean it's amazing, from geography to basic information to the inhabitants of the world...it sure has a great potential in becoming a great story

Re: Anteal
Time for another update!
For starters, below is an Onselthian longbowwoman in full lamellar armor. This is from the middle Fourth Era before they adopted gunpowder weapons. I tried giving them a steampunk feel by adding a lens/monocle thingy.
Another thing I drew is the Othantha, an Onselthian super... super heavy tank. A literal rolling fortress, it could hold a small garrison on the move. The cannons were added after the adoption of gunpowder.
And a little something on Onseltian technology during the Fourth Era: I wanted to try something different with the races of monsters. With the Northern Lamia race I wanted to have a non-human race to contribute to the general technological development. To be exact, the Onselth, with their metallurgical skills and understanding of how steam works, had undergone a technological revolution.
As always comments are welcome.

<.<

I guess nobody here likes steampunk... Or the forum is so slow nobody noticed it. Oh well... Here's something that I'm sure will elicit a response.
In-universe: Siervai (self designation, barivai lang.)
Type: Mamono
Family: Harpy
Regions: Anmathir
The Lake Harpy is a species of harpy indigenous to the western half of Anmathir, where they make their homes on or near the lakes and rivers in the region.
Lake Harpies have both dark and light brown plumage on her wings while the legs are covered in white feathers. However, they are best recognized by their green hair, though sometimes they may inherit their fathers' hair color.
Among harpies, the Lake Harpies are the most dexterous. Their talons are lined up similarly to a human hand so they to do most human tasks with their feet, giving them great foot-eye coordination.
Even before modernization was adopted, lake harpies were known to be an industrious species with the various tribes building their homes on the surface of lakes or rivers which were sealed with dams made of timber.
Examples of tribes include the self-governed Barivai, the Zavai, the Kervaia and the Wendevaia.

Anyway, I haven't worked on something in a while... I'll hold you over with another gunship drawing, I present the ZPV-21: Both this one and the ZPV-9 are based on the Reaper Gunship from Empire Earth.

Re: Anteal
I'm BACK!! Oh..LOOK A HARPY!!
Cute cheerful pose and I like how her face came out. Green hair, awesome! Good color scheme too, reminds me of a sparrow. Her right leg seems a little off, or maybe there needs to be a little shadow/shading to give her lower legs some more depth? Not sure..
What type of indrustrius creations do they create? Do they get along good with humans or is there a kind of "proving grounds" for human guests? Are they travelers, or do they tend to stay in their area? Of course being leaders industry I get the feeling they make great salesharpies too. ^_^
