Chapter 1-1
Spoiler: show
Leon opened his eyes again after he had closed it for so long yet finding himself unable to sleep, this had been going on for a long time now, a few weeks? A month? He couldn't tell exactly since he could hardly remember the day in which he could fall asleep easily. He would be lucky to be able to manage three hours each day. It have a rather devastating effect on his grades, in the short time of a few weeks he had went from being among to top of the class to being very mediocre. He couldn't concentrate in class and fell asleep very frequently, many times causing the teachers to have to poke him to wake up, luckily he didn't have a reputation of being slack, he just had sleeping problems.
Leon's attempts at solving the problems, going to the doctors and subscribing sleeping pills effectively did nothing, he had not seen an ounce of improvement ever since he started to take them and as they days went on things clearly went worse. It was now around five o'clock AM and the young man sat up... there was no reason to try fall asleep anymore, the sun would be going up soon, he may as well get himself ready for school. At least his parents weren't going to be bothered with him waking up late everyday, now he didn't even sleep. After drinking his bottle of milk and some toast he went out and started to walk to school.
It was only when he had reached there did he realize that it was Saturday, he clenched his teeth and seethed, this was what a lack of sleep did. he angrily walked up to a bin and kicked it harshly before stomping back home.
On the way he came across a small shop that seemed to draw him into it, one inside he say many dreamcatchers hanging in there. A dreamcatcher was supposed to help a person have good dreams and sleep... though Leon had never believed such things he couldn't deny that he was running out of options. "maybe....?" He pondered to himself before eying the shop assistant. He looked up and chose one that he thought was the best looking and took it down. "How much is that?" He asked.
The walk back was quick... almost instantaneous, Leon slipped back into his home and hanged the dreamcatcher in his room and laid down on the bed... he should try falling asleep now, closing his eyes he tried.
