Chapter 1 - First Steps
A new life has dawned in this realm of shadows…
A young girl with long dark hair tied in twin tails and dressed in lackluster clothing with sleeves that went past her arms awoke in the unknown realm. Clouds covered the sky and crystal formations dotted the island floating over an abyss. For a while she laid there silently. She did not know where she was, what she was doing there, or who she was. The silence was eventually broken by a soft voice.
???: Oh, you’re awake.
She sat up and looked around to see another young girl. She had long dark hair and wore an elegant pure-white dress. She had horns, a tail, and a right arm made of metal. The girl in black stared silently at the girl in white. She did not say anything nor did she show any kind of expression. The girl in white soon spoke again.
???: Hm, I guess you are the quiet kind. Well, I’m sure you have a lot of questions.
Indeed, she had many questions. She did not know who this other girl was or why she was here with her or why was she speaking to her.
???: Let me introduce myself. My name is Myrna.
Myrna: And your name is Iriaelanthelko Saerodroturula. Phew…that is quite a long name. Would it be alright if I just called you Iria?
Iriaelanthelko now wondered how Myrna knew her name. Still more questions came into mind, but this was an opportunity. If Myrna already knew about her, then maybe she could answer all of her questions. Iria gave her first response and slightly nodded her head, but her face remained expressionless.
Myrna: Good, that makes things a lot easier. Now I bet you’re wondering where you are and who you are and how did you get here and such.
Iria nodded her head again. She was very eager to have her questions answered, even though she did show her eagerness.
Myrna: Well, I’ll answer what I can for now. Right now, you are in my world. I created this world...sort of…and you’re here because you have caught my attention. I was just interested in seeing what kind of person you were. I was also sad to see a life such as yours be thrown away so quickly, so I brought you here. And since I brought you here, you are going to be under my care from now on. You are bound to me and only me, and you’ll have to listen to whatever I say. Understand?
Iria didn’t know what to think of this situation she was put into, but she decided to accept it and nod her head.
Myrna: Good. Let’s start with a small test. Follow me.
Myrna quickly ran to the edge of the landmass and jumped onto another one nearby. Iria guessed that her physical abilities were being tested so she followed Myrna and jumped onto the same landmass.
Myrna: Ok, that was good. Let’s try another jump.
She then leaped onto another floating island that required a longer jump, and since it was farther down one had to be careful to land correctly. Iria followed Myrna and jumped onto the island without trouble.
Myrna: Alright, now I’ll really test how good you are on your feet. All you have to do is catch up to me and your first test will be over. Ready, go!
In a second, Myrna had already run off to the next island. She could run quickly and without trouble despite her dress. Iria began to run after Myrna across the floating crystal islands. It took some time for her to get used to running and jumping for the first time, but she eventually got the hang of it and caught up to Myrna, giving her a small tap on the shoulder when she did.
Myrna: Ok, you got me. That was fun! You’ll do just fine on your feet. Now for another test, I want you to hit this mech with whatever move you can.
She summoned a skinny automaton that stood on one wheel. Iria took a moment to decide what to do. She had never fought anything before. She decided to try kicking the mech, but it was more of a push with her boot then a kick.
Myrna: So…a kick? Umm, why don’t you try again? Try hitting it harder this time.
Iria tried kicking the mech again, this time her kick had more force and precision. Myrna thought that time was good, but she continued to teach Iria until she could fight off a mech that could fight back.
Myrna: I think you’re doing fine, but why not use your arms? It’s probably because of those sleeves. Maybe if you had a weapon?
As if out of nowhere, Myrna drew a sword. It was a fine one-handed long sword that looked plain but well-made. Iria didn’t show much enthusiasm…or discontent…or any sort of emotion.
Myrna: (Wow, she is quiet…) Do you think you could use this sword?
Iria shook her head. She didn’t seem to like the idea of using a sword.
Myrna: Well what kind of weapon do you want to use? An axe, a mace, dagger, or…um…
Iria was now looking down at her hands. Myrna thought she was not paying attention, but Iria’s nod assured Myrna that she was. Myrna was curious and held Iria’s arm. Then an odd feeling came over Iria. Myrna was also trying to sense what was going on with Iria. A metallic pole then came out from Iria’s sleeve and formed into a war hammer. It was shaped like a sledgehammer and had designs on it similar to Iria’s dress. Neither of the two girls knew where it came from, but Iria grabbed the hammer once it finished forming and wielded it with one hand easily.
Myrna: (Hmm, some kind of sledgehammer weapon. Maybe she prefers blunt weapons to sharp ones.) Well, this is surprising. Do you want to use this weapon?
Iria nodded her head. Myrna then conjured another practice mech and Iria swung her hammer into the mech, knocking it down. After it was defeated, the hammer slipped back into Iria’s sleeve.
Myrna: (So it looks like she came with a weapon. Maybe she’s not one to cut up people when fighting. I’m glad she has at least some knowledge, but I wonder if she ever learned how to speak.)
Iria stood still, staring at Myrna, waiting to be told what to do next. Myrna asked her if she knew anything about spells. Iria tilted her head. This was something she had no knowledge of. Myrna went on with an explanation about spirit energy inside each living (and sometimes non-living) being and how that energy could be channeled into magic. She also briefly explained the many types of elements that magic could take the form of. She even demonstrated a magical ability for Iria. It turned out that Myrna was skilled in ice magic. Iria then tried to cast the same magic, but with little success.
Myrna: That’s ok. It takes time to learn how to use magic. You learn eventually. Ok, I think we’ve covered most of the basic things. Now it’s time for why you’re really here. You see, I’ve always wanted to go out into the world and…you know…see what there is to see. I’ve heard stories and read books, but now I want to see things for myself. You’re going to help me by being my traveling companion. Surely you can understand why I wouldn’t go out there all alone, right?
Iria did not really fully understand why, but she agreed to be Myrna’s traveling companion with a nod.
Myrna: Great! Here, I have some things we’ll need for the trip.
The first thing she brought was a small satchel that appeared to be brand new. Myrna explained that it was something any adventurer would need, or so she is told. It was a special bag that could hold many objects and still be light weight. The next thing Myrna gave to Iria was a book with blank pages.
Myrna: I know it’s blank now, but I’m told that is a magic encyclopedia that will fill its own pages based on your own experiences. I don’t know what goes in there, but I’m sure it’ll fill up when we go out and explore the world.
At this point Iria was a little confused. This world seemed empty. The floating islands all seemed deserted except for the crystals that formed on them. Iria began looking around for anything that could be of interest.
Myrna: Oh, we’re not going to explore here, silly. This is my own realm. We’ll be exploring outside of here. I’m going to teleport us out of this realm and into the actual world we’ll be exploring.
Myrna then created a spell circle on the ground. This was what they were going to use to teleport. Iria still had questions that were unanswered, but she believed they would be answered later on. She stepped into the circle with Myrna and both of them teleported out of Myrna’s realm to begin their new adventure.

Re: A Demon's Enchanting Adventures
I was just peeking in here and noticed that your format is a bit odd. It's bordering on script format, which is very well recieved here.

Is it ok? I'm not very good at the normal format. I often get confused with who's talking.

Chapter 2 - Beast of Brutality
Well, I'll just keep going with what I've been doing. Hopefully this format is ok.
.........
Using the magic circle, Iria and Myrna had teleported to a clearing in a forest that had rather tall stones coming up from the ground that circled the clearing.
Myrna: This seemed like a good spot to start off; I just hope it doesn’t attract too much attention.
Iria took a moment to look around the area. There didn’t seem to be anything else around except for the stones. The surrounding forest also seemed quiet.
Myrna: It’s better not to begin near a populated area. Some people don’t like seeing a demon wandering around. It’s a little sad that my kind doesn’t have a very good reputation with others, especially humans.
Iria was unaware of the reputation of demons. Myrna is a demon but she does not seem like an unpleasant person at all.
Myrna: Hmm…I wonder where we should go first…
The two girls then heard a noise coming from the far end of the forest. It sounded like the roar of a terrible beast. The two thought it was best to start moving away from whatever made that noise and look for the nearest town (hopefully a mamono friendly town). They made their way through the forest, unaware that they were being watched.
It wasn’t long before the sun had begun to set and the light quickly left the forest. The girls would’ve rested for the night, but they were worried about the beast that let out the roar earlier. It would’ve been impossible for them to rest easily knowing that some horrible monster may be prowling the forest. They pressed on in the diminishing light. As Iria continued to follow Myrna, she began to notice how easily she was moving across the forest floor. At this time of the evening, it would’ve been difficult for her to see where she was going, yet she could see just fine.
Myrna: Are you doing ok, Iria? It isn’t too hard for you to see, is it?
Myrna looked back to see how Iria was doing, as she was not expecting a verbal answer. Iria shook her head; it was not hard to see at all.
Myrna: Hmm, I wonder if you can see in the dark like I can. Demons are creatures of the darkness, so it’s no surprise that they’re not blinded by it.
Iria nodded to let Myrna know that she believes she may have night vision as well. She then began to wonder if she was a demon like Myrna. Her thoughts were interrupted by the terrifying roar that they had heard earlier.
Myrna: Did you hear that? It sounded a lot closer than last time. Be careful…
The two girls continued to cautiously move through the forest. They did not like the thought of defending themselves against a wild beast on their first day of adventure. The forest had become ominously quiet. The girls were beginning to get nervous. A small rustling of leaves from a breeze nearly made them jump. They were hoping that the beast would take its business elsewhere. Myrna stopped for moment and listened carefully for any signs of the beast. Everything was quiet. The girls were staring to get scared. Both of them looked around for any sign of danger.
Before her eye could catch it, Myrna was struck with a powerful arm that sent her into a tree. Iria was startled and was grabbed by a giant hand and thrown into a different tree. This happened so quickly and suddenly, the girls were too shocked to react quickly enough or even see what kind of beast could have taken them by such surprise and force. They heard a loud roar and a rhythmic beating. Iria got to her feet and saw the monstrosity that attacked her. It was a very bulky creature that looked like a mutated gorilla. It had large arms and fists, scaly skin, branching horns, and sharp teeth with two larger ones on the lower jaw. The creature was very intimidating standing at about 3 meters tall and looking very angry.
The beast let out another roar and went after Myrna. Iria saw that Myrna was still getting back to her feet, so she quickly brought out her hammer and attempted to land a hit on the monster. Luckily, she was quick enough to strike the beast’s head before it reached Myrna. The sound of the hit was odd, making a very loud clang as if metal was hitting metal. The beast stumbled for a moment while Iria helped Myrna to her feet. The beast was not going to give up yet, as it recovered from Iria’s blow and charged after the girls again. Myrna tried to impede the monster with wall of ice, but to no avail. It smashed the ice during its charge and went in to smash the girls with both of its fists. They dodged its attack and continued to avoid its swinging arms. Iria gave the monster an uppercut with her hammer, but it recovered again and roared loudly. Myrna launched a series of ice spells at the creature, but it continued to attack them as if their attacks had no effect.
Myrna: (This thing just won’t give up. How are we going to stop it?)
Someone then ran past the two girls, slid underneath the beast, and snagged its legs with a few vines. The monster was taken by surprise and started losing its balance. Iria didn’t know what had just happened, but she seized the opportunity to strike the monster’s chest while it was losing its balance. The monster fell onto its back, and another girl jumped onto the monster and put something in its mouth.
???: We need to get away from here! Follow me!
The girl jumped off the monster and started running away. Iria and Myrna weren’t sure if they should follow the stranger, but it was better than staying around with the monster. They ran after the girl, trying to keep up with her. Neither of them knew where they were being taken. They eventually came up to an extremely tall tree. The stranger had already begun to swiftly climb upwards. The other two weren’t experienced climbers, but Myrna spread large metallic wings and flew Iria up the tree.
For the moment, it seemed that the girls were safe. They could now rest a little easier. While they were sitting on the broad branches of the tree, the girl who helped them earlier jumped down from above and revealed herself to be a mantis mamono.
Myrna: Who are you?
???: You know, a “thank you” would be much appreciated.
Myrna: Why did you save us?
???: You’re welcome…
Iria put her hand on Myrna’s shoulder. She still showed no expression and said nothing, but Myrna guessed that Iria was trying to tell her to calm down.
Myrna: …I’m sorry, things are just happening a little suddenly right now. Thank you for saving us.
???: Mhm…
Myrna: Maybe now you will answer my questions?
???: Sure, my name is Maiya.
Maiya: And…I just saved you because you would’ve made a pretty bad mess on the ground if that thing had killed you.
Myrna: Hmph, well that’s not very nice, but I guess it doesn’t matter. You saved us anyway.
Maiya: Sure thing, fancy girl. What about you? You haven’t said anything yet.
Maiya was looking over at Iria now. As expected, Iria did not say a word or change her fixed expression.
Myrna: She prefers not to speak…or show any kind of emotion…
Maiya: (So…she’s just like the other mantises…) Whatever, I’ll assume you wanted to thank me anyway, silent treatment.
Myrna: Well as much as we’d like to stay, we will be heading to the nearest town as soon that monster is gone.
Maiya: Well I hope you like Order Knights, because the nearest town is none too friendly to mamonos.
Myrna: Is that so…What are Order Knights?
Maiya: Soldiers who work under The Order. They’re a group that thinks we mamonos are just a waste of space and men. I’m positive they’ll attack as soon as they see a succubus walk in there with her servant.
Myrna: I’m not really a succubus, just a normal female demon. And she isn’t my servant; she’s my…traveling companion.
Maiya: Whatever you say, but going to the closest town won’t be a good idea for you fancy girl. The closest mamono-friendly town is a much longer walk from here.
Myrna: Oh, so you know where it is?
Maiya: Yeah, and I think it would be best if I took you there. Seeing how you handled that monster, you’ll need my help.
Myrna: We’re not that incompetent. We can take care of ourselves. Although…I suppose a guide would be very helpful.
Maiya: Alright then, we’ll head out in the morning.
Myrna: By the way, what was that monster? I’ve never even heard of anything like that thing before.
Maiya: Do you think I know any better? I’ve never seen that beast before in my life. I’m surprised the berries I gave it actually paralyzed it.
Myrna: (So that’s what she did to it.) Well, we should try finding any information about that monster, if possible. Something like that running around in this world can’t be any good.
Maiya: Well you can worry all you want about it in the morning, I’m going to sleep. Nighty night ladies.
The mantis girl jumped back up to a higher level of the tree. Myrna and Iria were slightly annoyed at Maiya’s rudeness, but they appreciated her help. The two decided to sleep in the tree for the night. It was a little uncomfortable, but they would feel much safer in the tree than on the ground where the monster could still be lurking. The girls eventually made themselves fall into slumber.

Hmm, I'd expected someone make tell him to change the script format away or even get bashed to heck if back in the old forum.
But I guess you can keep using that format.

That's the old forum and MGU as a whole. All most anything is open to bashing by them, but I'm not going to go into that as that's going to open up a big can of worms.Peacekeeper1894 wrote:Hmm, I'd expected someone make tell him to change the script format away or even get bashed to heck if back in the old forum.

Anyway, I mainly skimmed through it and I do agree that the script format really isn't doing anything for me. A different format would probably help out best when it comes to the character dialogue and such.
Men, we led those dumb bugs out to the middle of nowhere to keep 'em from gettin' their filthy claws on Earth. But, we stumbled onto somethin' they're so hot for, that they're scramblin' over each other to get it. Well, I don't care if it's God's own personal anti-son-of-a-bitch machine, or a giant hoola hoop, we're not gonna let 'em have it! What we will let 'em have is a belly full of lead, and a pool of their own blood to drown in! - Sergeant Avery Johnson (Halo)

There is nothing wrong with script format. Though using a more standard format usually makes the story more colourful. You have pretty good paragraphs and descriptions so you could consider moving to more descriptive speech rather then script format. Though it's up to you in the end

Chapter 3 - Dead Man's Will
I took some of your advice and decided to re-format my story. I hope you like it!
.........
The morning sun had finally peeked over the horizon. The forest had become relatively calm. The three girls were still asleep in the tall tree, with Myrna and Iria on one branch and Maiya on a separate one.
Iria was the first too wake up and was surprised to find Myrna cuddled up against her! Myrna was still fast asleep, but Iria wasn’t sure what to do. It would’ve been embarrassing to have Maiya see the two of them snuggled together like this. Iria nudged Myrna a little bit hoping to wake her up. Instead, she kept sleeping and cuddled even more with Iria, even putting her hand on Iria’s breasts and gently groping them.
“Mmm…soft pillow…” said Myrna in her sleep.
Iria tried again to wake her up. She lightly shook Myrna until she finally opened her eyes slowly.
“Hmm? Morning already…?” she said. It took a moment for Myrna to realize how close she was to Iria. She got off of Iria, nearly falling out of the tree, and took a moment t pull herself together. “Oh…um…sorry for violating your personal space…” she said while blushing.
Iria knew she didn’t really mean to sleep so close to her. She wasn’t aware of it while she was sleeping. Maiya then jumped onto their branch, coming from below this time, and gave them a “friendly” morning greeting.
“It’s about time you two woke up,” she said.
“Good morning to you too, Maiya…” said Myrna.
“Here, I didn’t want you whining about getting hungry, so I got you breakfast.” said Maiya. She tossed two apples to Iria and Myrna. They thanked her for the apples (although Myrna gave Iria’s gratitude since she still won’t speak or show emotion).
The girls climbed down the tree after breakfast and followed Maiya to the closest mamono-friendly town. It stayed very quiet for the beginning of the walk. Maiya didn’t care to talk to anyone, and Iria…well she just doesn’t talk. Myrna eventually got very bored and made an attempt to start a conversation.
“You must have traveled a lot to know where this place is,” she said.
“Yeah, I’m a traveler just like you. Except I have an idea of where I’m actually going,” said Maiya.
“Must you be so rude? It’s not as though we did something to deserve your foul tone,” said Myrna.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but you’re not getting any royal treatment out here fancy girl. Neither you or silent treatment,” said Maiya.
“You should at least try to get along with us. You’re the one who is leading us to this town, so you should learn to cope with our company.”
“I don’t see a terribly important need for something like that.”
At this point, Myrna was annoyed by Maiya’s rude behavior, but Iria calmed her down with a gentle hand on the shoulder.
The girls continued to walk until they came upon an empty campsite. No one was there, but the fire suggested the campers were not very far. They soon heard a group of people coming close, so they hid behind the trees and peeked to see who it was. Two elves and two centaurs arrived at the camp and settled down to rest. It seemed that the camp belonged to them. They didn’t look very happy and were grumbling about something. Myrna decided to go and meet them and the other two cautiously followed. The elves and centaurs didn’t seem to be hostile as Myrna spoke.
“Hello. Is there something bothering you?” she said.
“If you must know…our camp was robbed by a bunch of zombies,” said one of the centaurs.
“Zombies? Why would zombies go around and steal from camps?” said Maiya.
“That’s what we want to know,” said an elf. “We thought they were soldiers at first until we saw those bony, rotting bodies…” The elf shuddered.
“Well I hope you don’t run into anything else on your trip,” said Maiya as she was about to walk away, but Myrna stopped her and offered to help the campers.
“We’ll get whatever we can of your supplies too,” she said.
“I don’t know…they’re pretty tough. We followed them to a tomb over there, but they got the best of us and we had to turn back,” said the centaur.
“We’ll do our best. You all just rest up here and we will do the best we can,” said Myrna.
“Thank you. This is really nice of you,” said one of the elves.
Myrna began to set off towards the tomb with Iria loyally following her and Maiya reluctantly tagging along. They walked for several minutes until they came upon a stone arch with a staircase going down underground. Myrna looked around, but the area seemed empty.
“That’s strange,” she said. “Where are all of the zombies?”
“They don’t even have the brains to guard their own base. Their brains must have rotted away too,” said Maiya.
The girls began to walk down the stairs into the crypt. It was fairly dark with only a few torches mounted on the walls. As they walked farther down, the stench of death thickened in the air. Maiya complained about how unpleasant it was. Iria was slightly bothered by the smell, although she had no look of disgust on her face nor said anything about the lights. Myrna was most likely the most disturbed of the three but did not want to fuss about it as much as Maiya did.
They eventually reached a large hall that had somewhat better lighting and had several coffins stand against the walls.
“This place is the worst,” groaned Maiya. “Why are we doing this anyway?”
“It doesn’t hurt to help out others in need,” said Myrna.
The lids of the coffins then suddenly popped off and armored walked out brandishing swords and axes. The girls were quick to react as Iria formed her hammer and smashed it into on of the zombie’s face. Maiya used her scythes to quickly cut at one’s feet then across its face. Myrna used one of her wings to knock one off balance then turned around, drew her sword, and impaled it. The last zombie tried to swing its sword down on Myrna, but Maiya kicked at its feet and Iria crushed its skull while it was on the ground.
A strange and muffled voice had seemingly come from nowhere, “…freedom…”
“Did you hear that?” said Myrna.
“All I heard was these bone men croaking,” said Maiya. “Let’s just find wherever these things are hoarding those supplies and get out.”
Iria nodded in agreement. Nobody wanted to stay in such a burial site underground with decaying corpses. The three girls continued into the tomb. If it wasn’t for the torches that were lit in only certain hallways, they would have lost their way in the branching passages of the tomb.
The girls followed the torches and came upon a circular stone door. It seemed like the place where the zombies were hoarding the stolen supplies. Iria found lever on the wall and pulled it to open the door. They all prepared themselves for whatever might be on the other side. When the door had rolled aside, it led to the main chamber of the tomb where several undead warriors and a man in black robes stood.
“So this is it?” said the robed man. “This is what has been trying to stop me from creating my undead army? Three little girls who lost their way, dealing with you will be easier than I had expected.”
“And who are you to speak to us like that, huh?” growled Maiya.
“I am Drennon,” said the robed man. “The greatest necromancer ever to live.”
“Greatest necromancer ever? Sure…sure…” said Maiya.
“Hmph, obviously you cannot appreciate the fact that I have resurrected warriors of great prowess,” said Drennon. “With their knowledge of battle, I shall use them to show how powerful necromancers can really be!”
“Yet you commit petty thievery on innocent travelers?” said Myrna.
“Building an army of the undead isn’t easy to complete when you are malnourished, now is it?” said Drennon.
“I’m afraid all of your hard work will be for nothing. We will take those supplies back and punish you for your misuse of necromancy,” said Myrna.
“Enough talk!” barked Drennon. “Kill them all my minions!”
The undead warriors charged in to do Drennon’s wicked deed. The girls decided to split up and try working their way around the zombies and take out Drennon. The zombies were relentless in their attacks. One in particular, the heavily armored and intimidating one, was giving Iria a lot of trouble. While blocking an attack, Iria heard the zombie struggle to say something.
“…f…free us…kill the man…” it said.
Iria knew that the undead were being forced to fight, and they wished for the necromancer to be to be killed for dishonoring the dead. Iria formed a second sledgehammer and swung it into the side of the zombie leader’s helmet. It knocked him away and gave Iria an opportunity to go after Drennon. Myrna knew just as well that if Drennon was killed, all of the corpses he had reanimated will be released from his spell. She covered Iria as they made their way towards Drennon. The zombie attempted to stop them, but some tried a little less than Drennon would have wanted.
“Stay back!” said Drennon as he pulled out a dagger and tried to defend against Iria, but his skills with a weapon were not very impressive and Iria landed a hit in his ribs and on his leg. Drennon fell to the ground howling in pain. Myrna then muttered the man’s last rites and plunged her sword into is chest. Drennon has been killed and the zombies fell to the ground finally free of his spell. When it was all over, an apparition of the warrior leader in his living days appeared before the three girls.
“You have done us all a service and honored the warriors of old,” said the ghost. “Now we may ascend to the heroes and enjoy our afterlife. Farewell young ones. We will not soon forget what you have done for us.” With that, the spirit had disappeared.
The girls had found the stolen supplies in a corner of the chamber and carried what they could back to the camp. When they arrived, they told the elves and centaurs what had happened and were congratulated for making it out of the entire ordeal alive.
“Thanks again for all of this. I’m sure we put you through more than what you bargained for,” said an elf.
“Oh it’s not a problem. I just wanted to give a helping hand. Stopping an evil necromancer just makes it even better,” said Myrna.
“If only there were more demons out there like you,” said a centaur.
The campers shared some of their supplies with Myrna’s group and they soon continued on their own way. Maiya, believing that they have wasted enough time already, started to lead Iria and Myrna to town once again. There was still a long walk ahead of them, but Myrna looked forward to what other adventures there were for them.

Chapter 4 - Halloween Special
Myrna, Iria, and Maiya had walked a long way before they decided to stop and make camp in the middle of the woods. It was the fall season; the leaves had fallen and the wind was blowing. The girls made a fire and huddled close to it.
“Careful you don’t singe those dresses of yours,” said Maiya. Myrna gave a small scowl to her and Iria showed no expression, as usual.
Maiya looked around and saw the tree branches shaking and the crescent moon in the sky. “This place seems a little creepy,” she said. “I have a bad feeling about this.”
A creepy voice then came from behind them, “Seems like someone is having some Halloween chills!” Maiya and Myrna were startled by the voice and shrieked a little, but Iria did not react at all except for turning around to see who it was. The three girls turned around to see it was a ghost. It had a wispy tail and dark skin, a collar which hid most of its face, a big witch’s hat that ended in a wispy point like its tail, two hands that floated in the air instead of being attached to arms, and two eyes and a toothy smile glowed under the collar and hat.
“Oho! I didn’t think I’d frighten you that much!” said the ghost, “well…frighten you two, not this one here.” He pointed at Iria who was still just staring with an expressionless face. All of the girls seemed to get annoyed by the ghost now.
“Who are you? Why did you sneak up on us like that?” said Maiya.
“Easy, easy there,” said the ghost, “Just trying to get you girls into the Halloween spirit.”
“Alright, but what is your name?” said Myrna.
“Hmm…yes, you can call me Geist,” said the ghost. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“What’s Halloween?” said Maiya. Both Myrna and Geist then gave surprised exclamations. They knew what Halloween was, but Iria showed no sign of having knowledge of Halloween either.
“Halloween is a fun holiday where people dress up in scary costumes and go from house to house saying ‘Trick or Treat!’ and then getting pieces of candy!” said Myrna.
“So you just go to complete strangers’ houses to get candy?” said Maiya. She didn’t seem very pleased with the idea of trick-or-treating. Geist went into further detail about Halloween, giving a brief history and some fun activities that take place during this time.
“And it’s celebrated by humans and monsters everywhere,” said Geist. “Although, this Halloween has been going downhill this night.”
“Why? What’s wrong?” asked Myrna.
“It’s the other ghosts, skeletons, ghouls, and goblins that were supposed to celebrate tonight,” said Geist. “They’ve been going crazy and just attacking anyone they see. They even tried going after me.”
“That sounds pretty bad. Do you know what’s causing all of this?” said Myrna.
“No, but it must be pretty bad seeing how they are acting. They normally aren’t like this. Something must be wrong,” said Geist. Myrna offered to help find out what was wrong with Geist’s friends. Maiya complained but was silenced by Myrna, and Iria didn’t mind at all since she would follow Myrna with whatever she did.
“That’s very nice of you. Go ahead and see what’s up with them. I’ll make it worth your while too,” said Geist.
The three girls then went to the town Geist had pointed out for them. When they approached the town, they could hear the screams of humans and the shrieks of monsters. They arrived to a town in turmoil with the ghosts and ghouls running amok and causing trouble everywhere they went.
“Wow, they’re having a really bad day…” said Myrna.
“Bad day? They’re wrecking the place! We have to stop them!” said Maiya. She immediately went into the town and started cutting down the zombies and skeletons, but they always pulled themselves together and continued their rampage.
“This isn’t working. She’s only making them angry,” said Myrna. Iria agreed and went into the crowd to stop Maiya and bring her back. The monsters ignored the girls and focused their attention on the townspeople and their homes.
“This keeps going on, someone will get hurt. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen. We’ll try rounding up all of the monsters too,” said Myrna.
“And how are we going to get them all in one place?” said Maiya. Iria then noticed a unopened lollipop on the ground. She remembered Geist’s lecture about candy’s role in Halloween. She picked it up and one ghoul eyed the lollipop. Iria waved it around and the ghoul’s eyes followed. Myrna noticed what Iria was doing and got an idea.
“I bet they’re upset because no one here is giving them any candy for trick-or-treating. Let’s find some candy and bring them out of this town,” said Myrna. Maiya thought it was a ridiculous idea, but she went along with it anyway. The girls started out by protecting the humans from any harm the monsters would bring. Then they found several pieces of candy to lure them away from the people. One by one they were rounded up, but the girls eventually had all of the monsters chasing them now.
“What now, fancy girl?” said Maiya. They were being chased by the ghosts, ghouls, skeletons, and goblins who were all trying to get to the candy first. The girls eventually saw Geist along the way and he waved them over to follow him. They ran behind him and all of the monsters followed.
“I hope he knows where we’re going,” said Maiya.
“I’m sure he has something planned,” said Myrna.
Geist led the crowd deep into the woods. They dodged the hanging branches and kept ahead of the ghosts and ghouls. Geist eventually led all of them to an area lit with lanterns and jack-o-lantern and tables that were set with food and treats.
“Welcome everyone! Here’s to a proper Halloween celebration!” announced Geist. All of the monsters cheered and began the festivities. The three girls just stood in surprise. They were not expecting all of this to be set up so quickly.
“I have my resources. Thank you for taking care of the problem. I should’ve known they were just having a crummy Halloween,” said Geist.
“I didn’t know they took Halloween this seriously,” said Myrna. Two mamono, a ghost and a skeleton, walked up to Myrna.
“We’re sorry for going crazy back there, but we were pretty upset that the town had no Halloween spirit. They also tried to run us out of there, so you can imagine how much of a spirit killer that can be,” said the ghost mamono. The skeleton mamono simply nodded.
“Oh it’s ok. What matters now is that all of you have fun at your party.” said Myrna.
“Hey, it looks like we found a friend for silent treatment here,” said Maiya. Iria and the skeleton merely gave a stare in response to her joke. The three decided to join Geist’s party, eat some candy, and then attend a ceremony to honor the dead afterwards. It was the first Halloween Myrna, Iria, and Maiya celebrated, and they enjoyed their night.

I feel like this chapter isn’t as good as the previous ones, but it’s a special and I haven’t been making a lot of story recently. I hope I can get more ready for everyone to read soon.
Happy Halloween everyone!
