Switchflipped (Chapter 6)
(Chapter 6)
Lucas took his ear away from the panel, realizing a voice being heard inside. "There's someone in there!"
"What did you hear?" Alicia asked, turning to Lucas who then was walking back in the direction they came in.
"I heard a voice that needs to be freed. I think Morgan needs to answer some questions..." as his steps turned to fast pacing as Alicia followed suit, slithering quickly to match his walking.
"Oh? Whatever reason do you have to free them?"
The pair stopped to the sudden quake of the museum as Lucas nearly fell over, regaining his balance as various artifacts shaked and a couple ancient vases fell over and shattered onto the floor.
"What the hell was that?" Alicia asked, holding Lucas' hand.
"I dunno, if it caused that much of a shake, we need to leave soon." he replied, quickly rushing towards the front entrance, to find everyone returned to the lobby. Liliana then turned to Morgan. "Hey what's going on?" she asked her sternly.
"One moment, checking surveillance feeds." Morgan then turned to a computer touchscreen beside the entrance to get a view of the outside, seeing a large swarm of emperor scorpions clawing away the property, before eventually tearing out the camera they were in.
"Oh man I hate scorpions..." Dudley remarked, cocking the bolt of his rifle before they felt another violent shake. Only this time they saw the front entrance door dented inwards.
"That door isn't going to hold, everyone keep it shut!" George shouted, as everyone ran to the door and pinned it shut, feeling more dents protruding inwards with every hard tackle from the door.
"Everyone stay back for a moment!" Tabitha shouted quickly, before she aimed her abdomen at the door and spewed a load of webbing at it, moments before a scorpion tail penetrated the door, being stuck from the webbing as everyone stepped back a bit.
"That's not going to hold forever, we need to get outta here, is there another way out Morgan?" Tabitha asked quickly as the door continued to be struck.
"Yes, there's an underground tunnel past the egyption exhibits, to your left, but hurry!" Morgan then walked towards the torn-webbed entrance and attempted to hold the door shut with her own body.
"Wait! Come with us." Liliana suggested but the Golem pinned her body in place to prevent the doors from opening further, the door being moments away from being breached as the rest ran ahead as instructed.
"Go, run!" Morgan shouted before the door eventually was tearing through, as Liliana quickly turned her back and ran. Morgan kept her firm grip of the two doorhandles as a gap opened in between, revealing scorpions attempting to breach the entrance through jabbing Morgan constantly with their tails. "Damage catastrophic... system failure imminent." As Morgan's torso was being torn open from the constant tail jabs, mechanical circuitry being exposed as Morgan's glowing eyes were fading to black as she slowly powered down and blacked out, her hands still gripping the doors tightly as the entrance being forced open resulted in her left arm being severed as she was swung forcefully aside and the scorpions pouring into the lobby.

"Lucas.... please help us..." the voice called out to him as he nearly ran past the glass containers of the four elements, Lucas attempted to punch the glass open, but to no avail.
"Here, use this!" Alicia tail whipped the glass container, taking out the Angel Halo sword and quickly tossing it to Lucas, who then used the sword to smash the container open, feeling a cold breeze from the cryohibernation as he quickly grabbed the four jars and ran with Alicia, moments before the scorpion swarm poured down the hallway as Liliana blasted them back with her dark orb of energy, knocking them backwards as more scorpions continued to swarm. She then ran alongside Alicia and Lucas towards the underground tunnel with Garett and Michelle holding each end of the door, waiting to close it after the three rushed undergrounds as the pair immediately sealed the door shut and turned the wheel, mere seconds from a breach as Tabitha returned to apply more webbing to the reinforced door.
"This door's certainly stronger, but it won't hold forever." As the door showed smaller dents protruding unlike the entrance door. "Let's go now." Liliana suggested as they ran down the lit halls that eventually blacked out. Michelle then illuminated the way with her flaming tail as the other survivors were already ahead, waiting in a small subway-like hall. "Good, everyone's accounted for."
"Anthony.... I'm scared." Roomi trembled under Anthony's arms wrapped around her in an attempt to relax her.
"Same here..." he replied as they saw Liliana, Alicia, Lucas Michelle and Garett eventually catching up from the long hallway. Victoria then quickly hovered across the subway hall and saw nothing but a long tunnel, and turning to Ross.
"I guess the only way out is forward. We can't stay here forever." she suggested. While Ross took out a compass and checking the tracks' directions.
"We're heading North towards the shelter, so we need to head this way." Ross pointed at the tunnel to the right.
"Then it's settled, this way everyone." Liliana suggested as everyone jumped down onto the tracks and walked forward, hearing sounds of water dripping throughout the tunnels as they kept their pace steadily.
"Thank you..." The same faint voice was heard from one of the four jars Lucas kept with him as Alicia turned to him. "You ok Lucas?"
"Yeah... I'm alright." He replied, as George quickly stopped everyone from advancing.
"I see something up ahead..." He ominously spoke, as he and Liliana stepped forward with an orb of dark energy readied while Michelle, Garett, Dudley and Dana raised their rifles forward in the direction. "Something's coming...." George spoke once more as a red puddle started to form.
