The Entrepreneur and the Pauper's Son.
(Somewhere in the poor districts of New Zipangu)
"Hey, son, dinner's ready." Jeff said across the hall and out the kitchen. He was boiling up a can of baked beans and chili with a loaf of bread and cups of water already filled to the brim. A mere few seconds had passed as he heard the sound of video games being played come to silence before the disillusioned teenaged son of his appeared before him. He showed signs of depression and a single yawn before stretching his arms out and looking to his father.
The boy had taken in a mild sniff and expressed mild disappointment at the usual meal they had day and night. The apartment they lived in was a poor mess, floors kept unswept and mildly littered, as the smell compounded to the pigsty. Jeff was a single father whose other half had left them in favour of another charming, wealthier person.
"You'll have to suck it up Sam, you can't expect good food without earning it." Jeff said, having brought the meal to a table and proceeded to cut of loaf into slices.
"I know Dad, but you know how bad the economy is these days. I swear everyday the unemployment line's grown bigger, and the landlord's not gonna be lenient with us this month round." He replied, having taken the sliced loaf from the plate his Father had left on the table and dipped it into the chili soup. Before he could take a bite, a knock on the door was hear, three hard knocks to be exact as each one was as ominous as ever. A hard frown came to Jeff's face as he turned to answer the door, familiar with who was knocking.
"Not now..." He mused as Sam followed behind in curiosity as Jeff went to open the door. He turned the knob and looked in front of the person before him. A young woman in her early 30's sporting a pair of glasses and short brown hair. A green leaf on top of her head glistened as her patterned brown and black tail waved in a mischievious manner. She had donned a business suit befitting of that of a secretary with a notepad in hand.
"Getting late on the payments huh? I thought you would know better to meet the deadline." The woman said in a mildly stern tone, the shadow across her eyes added to the intimidation as Jeff started to sweat mildly.
"I'm sorry Amber, but I don't have anymore money to pay you, We barely have enough to eat let alone wear the clothes on my back." Jeff replied, his hand slowly clenched the door, unsure if he was to close the door in front of her.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, that would put you and your son into Jeopardy." Her tail reached for his hand and pulled it away from the door gently. Desperate, Jeff fell to knees and bowed down, touching her high heels in a fit of mercy.
"Please, don't kick us out, I beg of you!" He pleaded once as the woman looked down at him for a moment before using her tail as a comfort pillow for him to temporarily hold, Her focus fixated on Sam. Sam flustered a bit at the woman eyeing him top to bottom, only having worn a pair of shorts due to the lack of air conditioning. She licked her lips for a brief moment before turning her attention to Jeff.
"On your feet." Amber said as Jeff looked up in hesitation. He was confused for a moment. "I said on your feet!" She said much more sternly as Jeff rushed to stand up straight as she went to jot a couple notes down and crossed their names off the eviction notice.
"Well, I think I won't be collecting money off of you, nor will I be forcing either of you to leave...this time." Amber said before putting away her notepad. "However, I think collateral and some lessons may help get you out of this pickle, for a price..." Her eyes turned back to Sam briefly and he gulped a bit, being seen by lusty eyes.
Jeff was confused, they had no valuable items worth giving out as collateral other than their TV and video games. "Are you asking to take our TV and Video Games as payment?"
"No, those aren't worth much to me, I'm willing to invest my time and effort into one person...Your son Sam. Let me take care of him for a few months and maybe, just maybe you can both live with prosperity. I can teach him a few tricks of the trade to make him a better and happier person."
Jeff turned his back from Amber to contemplating his next move, he was in no position to turn down her offer. Besides he didn't want his son to become a good for nothing like himself, a good 30 seconds of thinking it over occurred while Amber ogled Sam with a mischievous smile and tail swishing lightly in a "ah ah" gesture. Jeff then turned around and made his reply.
"Yes, you can take him, do as you wish, but no funny stuff."
Sam, concerned at the decision uttered his dissention "Umm, wait Dad, don't I get a sa-"
Jeff flared up and snapped back at Sam. "You do what Amber says, I don't want you to end up a lazy bum all your life anyways. Now pack up and go, see the world I couldn't show you myself." Jeff then ran back to his room and grabbed Sam's Passport, handing it over to Amber. A joyous glee and smile came across her face as she jumped like a schoolgirl.
"Wonderful! I promise you he will become a new man by the time I'm through with him." She said before seeing Sam dressed up in his shirt and tattered shoes. "Let's get going Sammy~" Amber nicknamed him as her tail wrapped and hugged him in as she lightly tugged his cheek, much to his mild discomfort as Jeff closed the door gently behind them as he went to the balcony.
"I need a cigarette..."

Re: The Entrepreneur and the Pauper's Son
Felt like I was reading a real life story there, then a beast girl steps in. Some father though, selling out his son so easily. Though the next chapter should reveal what Amber truly intends to do to him. Sexual slavery? Hard labor? A baby sitter? Who knows! I have to hold my assumptions for now!
(I this some kind modern ZIpangu then? I do wonder what would cause an economic downfall if there is horny monster women ready give "prosperity" who whomever gives up their son. That is, unless Sam is some kind of super hot teenager that makes all the monster women swoon.)
