Watching, the Metalnian felt slight satisfaction at his partners successful move but didn't let it show. The rest of the round however seemed to play in their opponents favor, even after activating his Faith skill. That Misdreavus needed to be knock out fast before it could recover too much health. He gave Reyn a nod as he switched out with Nate, letting his Heracross rest a bit from the battle. He looked to Ashley next.

"Lady Ashely, let's focus on Misdreavus first, it will fall soon if we both attack it together." He looked forward staring right into Andrea's eyes as he called out his next move.

"Once more Beldum! Set up for a quick end, Iron Head on Misdreavus!"

Ivadi flinched slightly seeing Zach get hit but he knew he could tough it out, besides the confusion did well. with Vulpix taking out the Bellsprout the odds stacked in his teams favor. Iva grins when his turn came up "alright Zach, Confusion on grimer again!" he said

[Nexous]

"Alright, let's switch. Heather keep Athena, and I between the enemy, and yourself. As for you two, I advise your surrender. You cannot win!" I wait patiently until my turn, provided Athena doesn't faint I will activate my ability, healing everyone, and have Athena use Confusion.

[Heero]

"Good job Deino." Looking to the others "As to you two an exellent show of power. Now we must head to the castle to stomp this intrusion out."

[Drack]

Asmund and Nate:

Beldum attacks once again slamming it's head into Misdreavus and through luck lands a critical hit on the foe knocking it out (-13 Hp). "Ah, my little Misdreavus no!" Andrea has a look of shock as her Pokemon is knocked out "Aah, no my little Misdreavus...I'll never hear the end of this from Leopold if he succeeds when we have failed." She then looks to Sableye's trainer "You're the only one that can still fight, cover our escape I have to tell the others we failed." He salutes her "Yes lady Andrea of course!" Andrea and the other trainer quickly flee as Sableye and it's trainer stand in your way from stopping them. The turn ends and Sableye regains 3 Hp from Andrea's Convalesce skill.

Heracross, Sneasel, Beldum, and Ralts gain 100 experience points each. Beldum, Ralts, Sneasel, and Heracross all level up. Beldum reaches level 6, Ralts reaches level 6, Sneasel reaches level 7, and Heracross reaches level 6.

The next round starts and Sableye's trainer scoffs at Nate telling him to surrender "Not a chance, I will sweep through all of you and fix this mess then I will get the respect from lady Andrea and the others I deserve..." His tone becomes far more sinister as he points to Asmund "I will start with you Metalnian, as your the one who defeated Andrea. Sableye another Sucker Punch!" Sableye shifts forward and lunges at Beldum catching it off-guard with an underhanded yet super effective attack knocking it out in nearly an instant (-26 Hp).

Ashley curses under her breath then glares at Sableye "Don't worry Asmund, we will pay them back for that Sneasel it's time for another Icicle Crash." Once again Sneasel attacks raining down icicles on Sableye damaging it (-16 Hp). Nate's warrior skill is able to heal everyone's Pokemon (Except for Beldum because it is knocked out) (+50 Hp to all allies), however Confusion does nothing to the foe Sableye and the turn ends with Sableye regaining 3 Hp from Convalesce, but Sableye's attack returns to normal as Adrenaline wears off. Before one of the others can step up to take Asmund's place Sableye's trainer comes up with a desperate plan as he notices the break in party's battle formation "Sableye, that Ralts can't do anything to you break past it and go after Princess Edea and Whismur they are our true target!" Sableye follows it's trainers command and lunges past Ralts and Nate who are unable to stop it breaking past the party's front lines and dashes right towards Edea.

"Coward!" Ashely shouts out when she realizes the foes plan, and the rest of the group scramble to intercept Sableye and stop it. However, standing in the way of the Pokemon's target is Heather who despite knowing the danger stands firm "I-I won't let you harm Lady Edea!" The foe trainer scowls "If she won't move then scare her out of the way with a Leer!" However, before the Sableye can follow through an Aipom leaps from the nearby trees attacking the Sableye with Astonish smacking hard with it's tail stopping the Pokemon right in it's tracks ending the battle (-5 Hp).

Heracross, Sneasel, Ralts, and Aipom gain 26 experience points each.

The foe trainer stands stunned ""W-what just happened...did I lose to an Aipom!?" He shouts as the Aipom taunts him before hiding behind Heather, and at that point Ashley hip tosses him to the ground "What were you thinking trying to attack a civilian like that, I should-."

But, she is then cut off by Reyn "Ease up a bit, he didn't have it attack her just attempt to scare her out of the way...though, his goal was to get Edea. We should try to get some information from him from the way his leader talked their may be more, perhaps in the village.

Gabriel:

The four of you quickly make your way through the village to the castle Graham speaking up "It appears the streets of the village are empty, perhaps our imposer has forced the villagers into lock-down while she was pretending to be Kanbei."

"Perhaps that is for the best, we wouldn't want civilians in the cross fire if what I think is about to happen does." Maru says in a nervous tone.

As your group enters the castle you can hear what sounds like battles coming from both the eastern and western halls. "Which way should we go?" Cassandra says looking to you.

Ivadi:

Zach uses Confusion again unleashing another mild yet super effective phsycic attack on Grimer damaging it (-12 Hp). Leopold moves next "This is getting rough, hit that Ralts with another Pound." Grimer creeps up and mashes it's sludge filled body on Zach (-5 Hp) Peter moves next"Foongus, use Body Slam on Stunky." Foongus slams it's body into Stunky once again damaging it (-7 Hp). Stunky's trainer goes to move next "Take out that Ralts with Foul Play." However, Stunkyis unable to move due to being paralyzed.

Ivadi grins seeing his chance "Thank you Peter and Foongus, alright Zach finish off the grimer with Confusion." he said as he was glad Stunky was paralyzed leaving them to finish off grimer

[Nexous]

"Shit." I mutter as Sableye snuk past Athena. Then I laugh as an Apalm takes it down. "Guess we found your pokemon I say, then watch as Ashley takes the guy down. I then pounce as soon ashehits the ground, and try to twisthis arm behind his back. " Ok,I'll say it Ashley that was kinda hot! Now for you You're going to give us answers. Your pokemon may be immune to confusion, but it will wreak havoc on your mind!" I say in a threatening tone

[Creator_Drake]

"And I might surely take my pound in flesh if that isn't enough incentive to comply." The Sound of cracking knuckles followed the cold statement. Truthfully Asmund was lying through his teeth on his threat, though his anger at his partners defeat at the underhanded move did well to hide that fact.

He'd been pleasantly surprised by Beldum's critical hit on the Misdreavus and was about to congratulate his partner when that cursed training called for that underhanded blow. His anger rose further when that same trainer ordered the Sableye to charge past their line to attack Edea. Thankfully Heather intervened, drawing forth her partner from the woods of which, later tonight when he looked back, wasn't really that surprising to Asmund. Passion seemed to be a very big factor in finding your partner.

Keeping his eye on the man held down by Ashley and the others, Asmund retrieved his coat before approaching Beldum's side. Not caring about dirtying his coat he laid it on the ground, unclasping a few buttons to reveal hidden belt straps. With a light grunt of exertion Asmund rolled his partner into place on his coat, strapping the belts together to keep Beldum secure.

With some awkward looking maneuvers and a few grunts, Asmund put his coat back on, Beldum now held securely near Asmund's shoulders. Securing a pair of belts across his chest finished the process.

Holding one of the shoulder straps Asmund looked about the group.

"That woman spoke of other outside the group that attacked us. We need to return quickly and see to our fellow heirs." He turned a narrowed eye to the man on the ground. He snorted.

"Either we get the information out of this man here or we knock him out and take him with us to be interrogated later. What say you?"

[Nexous]

"I was trying to get info, and I say we extract it here. I don't have a way to properly restrain a hostage for transport. Knocking him out could prove problematic too, because he could wake up midway, and stab someone, or escape." I return my attention to the prisoner. "So first question, how many of you are there, second who are you working for, what are your intentions?" I ask him putting a little more torque on his arm. "Athena prepare to use confusion on him." I bluff, as I would never order Athena to do something that would go against her will.

[Heero]

Gabriel blinks, surprised that cassandra for looking to him for leadership. Then clears his head and looks at the group. "Ok so there seems to be fighting coming from both halls..we should take the western hall and push through by force and find whos leading this attack put a stop to it."

[Drack]

Asmund and Nate:

"I agree with Nate, interrogating him here before he can try anything else is ideal." Ashely says she continues to keep their prisoner pinned to the ground

"He may just lie though to stall, and if they do indeed have other allies in the village then it may be in danger." Yuri says as she and the others, Edea, Clair, and Heather approach cautiously.

"Ouch, stop twisting my arm dammit!" The man says struggling "F-fine, I'll talk...it's not like it will do you any good. If Robin and Leopold have succeeded where we failed you have no chance of stopping us."

"What are you talking about?" Ashely shouts

"Argh, our orders were to capture Edea...because if we had her hostage then that old fool Kanbei would be forced to surrender Palette to us, but since you stopped that the back up plan Robin and Leopold were in charge of is in effect. Robin was supposed to use her illusion skill she shares with her Zorua to be a fake Kanbei and scatter the Palette Guard while Leopold was in charge of something more sinister...that you won't get me to say."

Gabriel:

"Right, that is probably the best way to go...after all that is where our quarters were so perhaps some the others are battling and need our assistance, but we need to be careful there may be more impostors." Graham says after you speak. Cassandra and Maru both nod in agreement and the group makes there way through the western hall.

The four of you quickly stumble on the final turn of a battle taking place between three more of the fake guards and three of the other heirs, as a boy with short white hair partnered with a Litwick calls out his attack "It's over for the three of you, Litwick use Heat Wave to end this." Litwick unleashes a great wall of heat taking out the last foe Pokemon (Ekans -13 Hp).

Trapinch, Litwick, and Aron gain 101 experience points each.

Trapinch reaches level 7, Litwick reaches level 7, and Aron reaches level 6.

"Damn, we have to retreat for now you'll regret this!" One of the fake guards calls out as he throws down a smoke bomb covering their escape.

"Aw, they got away...oh look some of the others are here." A girl with long sandy blond hair accompanied by a Trapinch says as she notices you, Graham, Cassandra and Maru.

"Are the three of you and your Pokemon alright, we had a similar run in with grunts like that as well." Graham says approaching them

"Yeah, we are all fine they caught us off guard but the three of us made quick work of them...do you have any idea what's going on?" The boy with the Litwick says adjusting his glasses.

"Only a little, apparently one of them was able to pass off as Kanbei and disrupt the Palette Guard sending most of them off leaving the castle and village with little defense."

"Damn, this is bothersome...well this part of the castle is cleared out what's the plan?" The boy with Aron says in an annoyed tone

Ivadi:

Zach uses Confusion once again unleashing another mild phsycic attack on Grimer knocking it out (-8 Hp). Peter moves next "Foongus, use Body Slam on Stunky and end this." Foongus slams it's body into Stunky once again knocking it out and ending the battle (-8 Hp).

Zach, Vulpix, and Foongus gain 122 experience points each.

Zach reaches level 6, Vulpix reaches level 6, and Foongus reaches level 6.

"Damn fun's over, well it's time to retreat for now." Leopold says as he throws down a smoke bomb to covering their escape.

"They got away, I wonder what all of this is about..." Peter says trailing off as he approaches the maid that has been hiding the entire time from the battle "It's over now miss, are you alright?"

She slowly comes from her spot behind a table "Y-yes, I am fine thanks to the three of you. I don't understand what happened they just barged in here and started tearing the place apart."

"W-well what should we do now?" Olivia says in a worried tone as she picks her Vulpix back up.

Ivadi picked Zach up as they had a look of determination in their expression. "Alright, we find out if there are others being attacked, help them and report what happened." he said "i think i heard one of those goons say something about a distraction." he recalled

[Creator_Drake]

Asmund made a loud snort, shaking his head.

"You underestimate us, and more-so you underestimate the people of Palette. You say we don't have a chance in stopping you? Just watch us, you will find yourselves unpleasantly surprised." He knelt before Ashley, resting an arm on one knee while gazing down at the man.

"Tell me, what purpose do you have with taking over the Kingdom of Palette?"

[Heero]

"If this part is cleared, then we should head back toward the eastern hall, then after that head upstairs. You guys need any potions after the battle or are you good?" Gabriel asks the group.

[Nexous]

(Yeah, so I didn't know Ashley had him pinned in the last post.)
"Hey, I was wondering. After we get the information we need from him what do we do? Release him, lock him up, or something more extreme? I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to practice advanced interrogation techniques on him."

[Creator_Drake]

Asmund looks over at Nate.

"Even though we're all targets, this is the Kingdom of Palette and as such they hold claim to prisoners of any invading force."

[Nexous]

"So restrain, and bring him in. Got it! Athena use Wrap!" Athana just shakes her head again. "Right anyone else have any ideas?"

[Drack]

Asmund and Nate:

The man looks up to Asmund scowling in defiance "You underestimate the situation all of you are in...Palette was not our only target, my platoons' orders were to capture all three kingdoms in the Plains that includes Steelfist and Wattray, which based on my orders have already fallen."

"What madness are you talking about, we defeated your lot quite easily so I doubt you could conquer one kingdom much less two so quickly." Reyn says in an angered tone.

The man scoffs "My team is an infiltration unit not a real fighting force Leopold, Robin, and Lady Andrea were in charge of scouting and sabotaging Palette's fighting force."

Edea speaks up after Nate "Right, Kanbei will want to hear what he has to say, as for how to how to restrain him I don't know..."

"Well, I can have Swinub use Odor Sleuth on him and his Pokemon that way if he tries to run we can track him." Clair says with her arms crossed in deep though.

"I suppose that could work as long as we keep them in front of us so they can't try anything, I can't really think of anything else for us to do." Ashley says pulling up the man and pushing him in front of her "Keep your hands up where we can see them, we have stayed here long enough the others might need us, and if you or Sableye try anything funny we won't hesitate to act."

Gabriel:

"We should all be alright for now...that sounds like a good plan, hopefully we will run into more of the others." The boy with the Litwick says, and the two other heirs nod in agreement. With that the seven of you quickly go to make your way back to the main hall and from the eastern hall you spot three more heirs coming out....

Ivadi:

"That sounds like a good plan, hopefully we will run into more of the others." Olivia says nervously as Peter nods in agreement. With that the three of you quickly go to make your way back to the main hall and from the western hall you spot seven heirs approaching as well....

Ivadi and Gabriel:

However, before any of you can speak a loud banging sound can be heard from the northern hall where the throne room is and the doors suddenly fly open as three more of the fake guards are tossed out into the main hall in front of everyone by Kanbei and his Slacking. He gruffly scoffs as they scramble to their feet "It seems that My Lords castle has become infested with despicable vermin, what should we do about that Slacking?"

The large Pokemon snorts loudly and looks as it is preparing to battle when the three grunts quickly scurry out of the castle "L-let's get out of here!" When they flee the Slacking's intimidating demeanor fades and it goes back to lazily relaxing.

[Creator_Drake]

Asmund gave a stony face in return to the scoundrels scowl, quietly listening as the man spoke about his group and their purpose inside the kingdom. But of course the man didn't speak of the purpose for claiming Palette, alongside Steelfist and Wattray if he is to be believed. Then again, if this group were to capture the Plain Kingdoms alone it would serve not only as as ideal staging point for further invasions, but they could place a stranglehold on their commerce trade routes, dealing a bleeding blow to the other kingdoms at the same time...

The thought made Asmund's eyes narrow slightly as he stood, watching as Ashley forced the man up alongside his Sableye partner. He looked to Clair.

"Lady Clair, your idea has merit to it, please do so quickly. After, it would help if both you and Sir Reyn keep an eye on that Sableye as we make it back to the castle proper." He looked at Reyn as he spoke the fellow heir's name, making eye contact alongside a nod before looking back at Clair. He then turned to Nate alongside Edea and Heather.

"The sooner we can make it back to the others the sooner we can fortify and plan a means to expunge the rats within Palette's halls." He then turned Ashley, taking position on the other side of their prisoner, keeping well within reach of the man should he attempt anything.

"I'll help keep an extra eye on this one as you lead him forward. He won't stray far however, not with your hold on him." He gave her a nod before looking at the other heirs in turn, including Heather.

"Let's move."

Ivadi and Zach were very impressed with Kanbei and his slackings strength. they were able to handle three guards so easily. in truth, both of them aspired to become that strong but they know it'll be a long road ahead. But still, Ivadi knew when gratitude was due so he bowed to Kanbei and slacking "That was a truly impressive display of power."
