After several days, confirmed faked picture. Now feel silly for falling for it.
Or rather relieved to see those are actually fakes (since they were visual aberrations and specially the water one which looked more fitting of a low budget cartoon than a Pokémon game).
Anyway... According to Pokémon's official twitter account we won't have more info until June 2nd, so it's time to play the wating game for a bit.
.P.S.: Also Europe once again will be the only region to have a delayed release (November 23rd instead of 18th like everywhere else) just like it happened with ORAS... (I'll have to avoid this thread for five days in order to avoid spoilers... hooray...¬¬)
And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.
There's quite a few well designed/good looking birds... Like the Fletchling line, the Starly line, the Taillow line, Swanna, Skarmory,Noctowl, Braviary...

A couple were okay, most were ugly in my opinion though. That's something I don't say lightly when it comes to birds, either. I already had a debate about this with Rezeed (whoa yea, that guy) years ago though and it usually ends with beating a dead horse, so I'll leave it at that.

I think what you're saying is its not that there isn't any good looking lines, but that most look generic as hell.

That's a different matter altogether, it's not that there's not any good looking bird but that you don't like any.
If that's the case I can't (nor don't want) help you there, as there's literally no point in doing so.

I hope you can customize your character like in X/Y, the female PC is adorable but her hat is so awfully hideous that is almost painful to look at... it's like she was wearing a cow's udder on top of her head.
As for the legendaries... Steel/Ghost and Steel/Psychic... Shame that those dual typings were somehow botched in Gen VI type rebalance (from 2 weaknesses to 4), but depending on its stat distributions they could still be viable.
Also on a related note...
Solgaleo’s Ability is Full Metal Body, a new Ability that no previous Pokémon has had. With the Full Metal Body Ability, a Pokémon’s stats will not be lowered by the effects of an opponent’s moves or Ability.
...^^U
That ability has been around since GEN III, when abilities were introduced and has been known as CLEAR BODY for years, years and years...
...heck even a certain Steel/Psychic we all know has had it for 14 years.
I expected more info like middle stage for the starter lines, the first glimpse on either Alola's early route bird or rodent... Things like that.

I kind of hope that they'll at least make it a bit different than Clear Body, by doing something like, say, make it unaffected by Mold Breaker or something. I mean, its already kind of sad that Turbo Blaze and Teravolt are just thematically renamed versions Mold Breaker.
Kinda hoping you can put sandals on the characters this time as the region fits for it. Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam ignore the target's Ability so that's cool. Shadow Shield also reduces damage if the Pokemon is at full HP.

One can only hope...
However if I had to guess I'd say that they'll either nerf Clear Body (like they did with all weather inducing abilities in Gen 6) in order to make us think that this new skill is actually original and/or useful (kinda like they did with with Primal Forms' abilities in ORAS) or they'll just make "Kittygross" ability inmune to Mold Breaker as you already pointed out.
.P.S.:

Oh right... I forgot that Americans get the Wi Fi event mons like a few hours (or in some cases days) after we Europeans get them, I guess we must have some kind of redemption considering how Game Freak mistreats us with the games' release dates.

Feathers wrote:I hope someday they make a legendary worth using. I'd like to train one up to be powerful instead of it being overpowered at the start.
I remember Zapados being that pokemon for back in blue; had him take on the Elite Four by himself until he hit level 100 with Mewtwo being the prize in the box for finishing the cereal.
Yeah I miss the challenge of the older games. It was nice to have a real use for a very powerful Pokémon. The newer Pokémon games just seem to just throw overpoweredness in everyone's face right off the bat.
I swear I'm so sick of the theory vids about Burst being put into Sun and Moon due to gems in the game's titles. Burst will never appear in the main games and let me explain what Burst is and why it won't/can't be in ANY main game.
Burst is from a manga called Pokemon ReBURST. In said manga the characters can fuse with Pokemon sealed in a crystals called Burst Hearts. Burst Herats are kinda like PokeBalls only the Pokemon is sealed in them for good. When a person Bursts with a Pokemon they become a hybrid being and can use that Pokemon's types for moves. They also have to make their own moves based on the Pokemon's types. Meaning if you Burst with a pure Electric-type like Zebstrika you only have Electric to work with. Even if the Pokemon knows a move like Flame Charge you don't get that type. This would complicate things in the main games as players are stuck with the types of the Pokemon and not the types of their moves.
Now one reason I see for why Sun and Moon will have Burst is because of those gems in the title. People say they're shaped like Burst Hearts. If people bothered to actually read the manga or look on Bulbapedia they'd see that Burst Hearts shaped like diamonds are artificial. They're not true Burst Hearts. If Nintendo was going to add Burst they would use the actual Burst Heart design and not the fake ones.
I just had to get this off my chest as I've seen so many PokeTubers bring this up. Both for and against it. I personally love Burst but it just wouldn't work in the main games. Maybe one day it will be in a side game.
