Thanks for making fun of me, captain obvious...¬¬ I'm sure that you're actually feeling great after that jab huh.
However, let me ask you something... What if what I actually like to do in Pokémon games is RAISE THEM MYSELF? I'm more of a breeder than a trainer.

That leaves me with two choices:

A) Hoping that one of my friends actually get Pokémon Moon and is ready and/or willing to lend me a hand (since you know... I don't trust your average Joe on the internet when it comes to getting my mon back after a trade).
B) Buying both games and transfer Midnight form to Sun via Pokémon Bank... which is 100 €.

So... before you decide to tear me to pieces again, remember that there might actually be a reason behind what I say.

It's been an eternity since we knew of its existence, but it finally seems to have become a reality for a few Western Countries.
After an absurdly long wait Volcanion, the Fire/Water legendary, will finally be released on some European countries, both Australia and New Zealand and in North American territory (both USA and Canada have already been confirmed).

Countries known for having Volcanion event scheduled and/or already active.

-Norway: From October 1st to November 23rd obtainable at GameStop, NeoTokyo, GamZone and Spillsjappa stores.
-Sweden: From October 1st through November 23rd at Gamestop, Webhallen & Spel & Sånt stores.
-Australia and New Zealand: From October 10th to October 31st at EB Games.
-Belgium: It will be available during the GameForce convention (October 1st and 2nd) and at Dreamland and Broze et Fun stores from October 10th.
-Netherlands/Holland: Starting from October 10th at Bart Smit, Intertoys & ToysXL stores.
-Denmark from October 1st to November 23rd at GameStop.
-Finland: From October 1st to November 23rd at GameStop, Pelaajashop, Verkkokauppa, Viihdepysäkki, Discshop & Konsolinet.
-Spain and United Kingdom: From October 1st to November 23rd at GAME (In Spain's case wouldn't be odd if it were to be distributed either on Barcelona's Games World fair (October 6th to 9th) or in Barcelona's Manga Fair (October 29th to November 1st)... maybe even both).
-USA: From October 10th to November 23rd at GameStop.
-Canada: Starting from October 10th at EB Games.

And that pretty much covers the distribution of our hot and cold legendary friend, I'm sure there will be more info to come (as I find odd that countries like Germany or France don't have an official date so far...).

2nd Tier Trailer

Post by Kaijin »

Aaaaaand... New Sun and Moon trailer has been oficially revealed.

It took them an incredibly long while...

The best thing of the whole trailer? Sina in shorts (What? That lady is as adorable as she's annoying... And she proved back on X/Y to be the personification of sheer annoyance).
Now seriously, it's nice to see how Mega Evolutions are coming back (I thought that they would drop them for good) even if I'm still certain that no new ones will be added (You still owe us a Mega Flygon Game Freak...).
As the starters... I knew Popplio's form would be a letdown appearance wise and I can't say I like Rowlett's form (It's a bizarre mix between an emo, an orchestra director, your average fabulous/L'Oreal person... and an owl), as for Litten's... I expected something way worse (as it's actually the only decent of the bunch), I just hope its final form won't be that hideous bara thing shown on that leak some time ago... (I should start breeding Chimchars, Totodiles or some other kind of starter just in case).

.P.S.: I wonder if I'll be able to Wonder Trade "Ash Greninja"... I accept a Weedle or best offer.

I see the return of the "Join Avenue", only it seems this time it's actually more functional... and interesting that you can now use your boxed pokemon to do more then just sit there now... I know I'll be sending them into that mine fairly often. :)

And yay, demo on the 18th (For the US at least)

And as a quick aside, who has been watching the "Pokemon Generations" webisodes?

I've been watching them so far.

And other than the first short (which was pointless, disappointing and poorly drawn compared to the others*) is actually a quite decent "series".
It's kind of a shame that this wasn't meant to be become a series (or an OVA project like Origins) as it would make a better series than the "official" anime by a huge margin.

.P.S.: *It has it good parts though, the intro is actually a nice touch... and I enjoyed seeing Pikachu getting owned and humilliated by a bunch of Woopers (that ironically enough happened to be my favourite Pokémon since they were introduced back on Gen 2).

Welp, looks like that "starter final evolutions" leak was accurate... by the descriptions, Litten is getting swole, Rowlett uses arrows, and Pipleo is turning into doe-eyed singer. It's all but official, now.

Mixed feelings. Rowlett's final form looks great in the leak, but Litten's and Pipleo's just look so fucking awful...

There is something amazingly adorable about those little sprites of your PC pokemon traveling into the mine to look for treasures. :happyness:

Pokemon Generations is decent enough, but I feel like the battle choreography could be a lot better. Perhaps XY has spoiled me in that regard. There is also something off about seeing Elite 4 pokemon get knocked out by single attacks that don't even look all that powerful (accurate to the games as that may be), and overall the movements of many of the pokemon just look so wooden in some of the episodes.

Compared to the "official" anime is one heck of an advance (In that serialized turd we were forced to see things like an Onix getting damaged by an Electric type move (Ground is inmune to Electric), a Persian knocked out by Shadow Ball (once again... Normal is inmune to Ghost) or a Torkoal knocked out by THUNDER FRIGGIN' WAVE!!! (It's not even a damagin move for crying out loud)), so I actually greatly appreciate Generations staff's attempts at coherence and cohesion to the games in that regard.

The anime is infamous for times that they've messed up regarding typing and such (sometimes with justifications, usually without), but such events are pretty rare and have gotten moreso over time.

Overall though I'd rather watch an entertaining battle with great animation than a strictly accurate to the games one, ideally we should have both of course. 8-)

Yeah... like Pikachu's level spikes... That go from level 100 to lose against a level 5 Snivy...^^U

And for the 10.000.000 th time we seem to be on opposite sides again.
One thing is taking artistic freedoms here and there, another very different is disregard the source material to such a point is even insulting.

But then again, having both things is far from being impossible (as a matter of fact it should be a given rather than something to add to your wishlist)... Just look at JoJo's for instance, the battle scenes are downright amazing yet they're still faithful to the manga.

I like Generations so far. As for Your facing Elite Four we only really see the climax of their battles for the most part. The Lance and Looker episodes are my faves so far.

I personally like Pipleo's evolution. Looks like I will keep my tradition of water starters after all.

Meet Alola Grimer, a Dark/Poison type.

Also, Jangmo-o will be evolving into a Dragon/Fighting type.

Meet Alola Grimer, a Dark/Poison type.
This one was a given, since Pokémon Insurgence already had an alternate (and actually cool) design for the Grimer line and Game Freak can't allow themselves to be beaten/shown their place by a bunch of fans with no more tools than good ol' RPG Maker and free time again (Pokémon Uranium hit them really hard after all).

Image
Delta Grimer evolutionary line: Pure Ground type with Sap Sipper as an primary ability

As for not so Delta Grimer... The typing is really good, its design not so much (it looks like a slightly murkier and dumber Grimer).
As for the Dragon evo... The typing is really cool (took them looooong enough to think of such combination), but its x4 weakness to Fairy... sucks Tyranitar balls...^^U

Some lil' update to Flare's post:

(Japanese) names and appearance for Jagmo-o's first and second evolution are revealed: Jarango and Jararanga, both are Dragon/Fighting.
Type Null gets an evolution: Silvadi. It will be still a Normal type... but it will pull Arceus shenanigans out of its quadrupede arse... as it can change to ANY typing via equiping an item.

More info, like always, is available HERE

Whoo! New Pokemon and evolutions ya'll! Have at it.
Men, we led those dumb bugs out to the middle of nowhere to keep 'em from gettin' their filthy claws on Earth. But, we stumbled onto somethin' they're so hot for, that they're scramblin' over each other to get it. Well, I don't care if it's God's own personal anti-son-of-a-bitch machine, or a giant hoola hoop, we're not gonna let 'em have it! What we will let 'em have is a belly full of lead, and a pool of their own blood to drown in! - Sergeant Avery Johnson (Halo)

My favorite monster girls (Names for those whom I remember. Will update when I come up with more names.
Spoiler: show
Number one spot: Liandra Aria (Salamander)/Lady Ryong (Ryu)
Serena Drakemore(Elf)
Tiamat (Dragon)
Leona DeLocke (Dark Elf)
Victoria Degale(Alp)
Xentheria - Lilim
Elizabeth (Eliza) Fatima(Lizardman)

I really like how creative they are being with Fighting types, and Dragon types as well. Kommo-o is wonderfully distinct while still fitting with the various tough dragons from older gens. I really like how it was given a more theropod-like posture rather than the vertical "kaiju" stance of some others. Its shaping up to be one of my favorites of this gen.

Alolan Muk I may actually like more than the original Muk, though I'm still not sure I like it enough to use it.

<><><>

Latest Pokemon Generations was awesome, felt like there was a lot more effort put into how the pokemon moved and such. Also looked like they took some inspiration from Pokken Tournament when it came to how Sceptile's attacks looked (i.e. using Leaf Storm like a spinning suplex).

Then there's Courtney, whose voice actor did pretty well at making her creepy.

Oh, and Camerupt sounds like a horse.
