Well... The "derpsmile" has pretty much become in one of Kenkou's most recognizable traits so far, so yeah... I pretty much stopped caring about it... (it would be almost as pointless as trying to stop a tornado by blowing at it) ^^U

Anyway other than the derpsmile plastered there because of...yes, it' actually quite a level up when compared to the original, however I wonder if the artwork is the only thing that got revamped or if it will get some minor touches to the text like Golem's revamped profile.

Actually the first picture is better, even if the style isn't as good as the new one. Her antennae don't have any detail anymore and it looks like her legs are just wrapped in a stocking, that belt buckle doesn't help.

Well...That's something that happens pretty much every time Kenkou revamps an old entry, just like it happened with Harpy (who lost her hands, that pretty much were the only thing that made her stand out among the rest of the harpy entries) or the Golem (who lost her Nubian skin tone).

It's unfortunate, but the loss of details is pretty much what it's traded off for a visual update. Then it's up to anyone to consider is such trade off is worthy or not (I consider it worthy if such update actually manages to bring some attention to the entry, but only in that case).

.P.S.: You forgot about the arms by the way, they could pass as gloves now...basically because she's wearing gloves undernath her insectoid limbs.

Ehh... You're a little mistaken here. Harpy and Black Harpy both have hands in their original profiles, once we got the book profiles Harpies lost their hands while Black Harpies still had them; and it's not until the revamped art in the Seven Seas licensed book where she lost them.

The clever hawk hides them, so maybe harpies do, too. Or maybe the profile is just an alternative form. Who knows!

The first thing it comes to my mind is... That apparently Kentarou Miura (Berserk's author) isn't the only one hooked to Idolm@ster, Kenkou seems to be hooked too.

Other than that (and the fact that he used an androphobic girl as a model for his nymphomaniac roach monmusu... which makes it deliciously hilarious), is pretty much like the Golem case: visual revamp (with certain loss of details here and there in the process) and minor tweaks to the text.
Not a bad effort I suppose...

.P.S.: Now I understand why Kenkou gave her a voice though (Devil Bug was originally meant to be silent), she needs it to sing...XD
