[Creator_Drake]

"Blast it all!" The frustration was evident on Asmund's face, holding a hand to his face while the green mist covered Robin's form. He was naive, he should have considered reinforcements outside the wall could be watching.

"Let's move back to the others Reyn. Nate's right, we go further out and we risk more than just our lives." He backed up slowly, Beldum following alongside him as Athena's Misty Terrain took effect. Returning to the others Asmund looked pensive.

"Someone remind me to speak with Sir Kanbei on means to deal with Robin, she and her Zorua are going to be a thorn in our side." He shook his head and looked at the team proper.

"Is everyone alright? How do we stand at the moment?"

[Nexous]

"I know, anyone capable of matching my style is a force to be reckoned with." I say with a nod. "Apart from that we are doing well." (Can you tell I am a Neo fan from RWBY? I think drack is too.)

"True but if both the Leaders dont like each other, or one of them does it wont end well for either. in the end not listening to her requests might just cause something bad to fall." Ivadi said

[Drack]

Asmund and Nate:

Reyn and his Heracross retreats back with Asmund to regroup with the party. "Sleep Powder." He says with a huff. "With a trap like that they could of had the jump on us right from the start." He says with a look of frustration.

"I don't think so..." Aidan says crossing his arms "I doubt they had that much to use, as I imagine crafting such a tool would be difficult, much less in mass. I think it was something she handed off to her allies with she first retreated...She is quite the crafty opponent."

Peter sighs "Well, either way we are all safe and they have retreated back for now and thanks to Nate we won't have to use that much of our healing resources, By the way here you go Asmund your Beldum took a nasty hit last round, Foongus and I didn't fight so you should have our Berry juice." He says holding out his medicine to Asmund.

"We should all take the time to rest. There is still the possibility that they may return for another battle." Yuri says as everyone sits down together taking a break from the action. In the calm you can hear the sounds of battles going on still in the center of the village. After some time it then goes quiet for a moment as you then hear cheering coming from the village followed by what appears to be Annette's Staravia flying through the skies along the wall. It quickly flies by and cries out to the party as spots you and the others and keeps moving along the wall.

Yuri jumps up. "Oh, that must be a victory signal from Annette."

Gabriel:

After some time everyone gets up following your direction and begins working together to repair the wall. There isn't much talking between them as the warriors and their Pokemon begin to close back up the breach with the rubble. However, after some time you hear cheering coming from the center of the village and what appears to be a large bird Pokemon flying through the sky along the wall. It swoops down as it get closer to the breach allowing you to identify it as a Staravia. It stops for a moment and cries out to the party before it goes off again down the wall.

Graham speaks up. "T-that must be some signal from the Palette forces...perhaps an all-clear sign?" He says with a bit of uncertainty.

"I think so..." Clair says more sharply. "It stopped for moment by where Nate's group was, It was probably telling us to go back to the castle."

"T-that means we won right?" Olivia says nervously.

Cassandra crosses her arms. "For now I guess so, but I'm not so sure we should leave these breaches unguarded."

"Then, I bet it was to tell us to say put, because the guards are coming to give us reinforcements and relieve us of our duty!" Clair says now more confidently.

Ivadi:

"You see, Ivadi understands. A toxic relationship will only hinder their kingdom's progress." Ashley says crosses on her arms.

Victor huffs. "Yes, but only if you allow it...letting your kingdom fall into disarray simply because you don't like you're spouse would be quite childish in all honestly."

Zelos jumps up to his feet. "You see, you're all missing a third option...if Mia could find a better suitor, like say another kingdoms' heir then her father would be forced to rethink his options."

Edea claps her hands together. "Ohh, that's true. A bond forged by marriage between nations would be better than one for business."

Mia's face turns a deep shade of red. "W-what, I haven't thought of anyone here like that!" She says nervously.

At that point everyone is able to hear the faint sound of cheering coming from the village, followed by what appears to be a large bird Pokemon flying along the wall heading towards you and the party.

[Nexous]

As peter mentions my assistance I put on hand out, and the other on my hip. "Praise mee!" I say in a joking manner closing my fist for emphasis on the elongated me. "All joking aside this was quite a decisive victory even with their escape. We won with no casualties." I then see the victory sign overhead. Looks like were not the only ones."

[Creator_Drake]

"You have my thanks, Sir Peter. Perhaps when there is time we may break bread together." Not wasting time Asmund helped Beldum drink the medicine which visibly made the silver monster perk up. It spun about once before making a bow to Peter, thanking him. It then floated towards Foogus where the pair got lost in their own conversation.

Asmund shook his head at his partners antics before turning a narrowed gaze at the breach. As the other heirs sat and rested, Asmund held a hand to his chin while pacing, slowly. He sat down beside Reyn moments before cheers were heard from the village, followed by a Staravia cry out to them.

He looked to Yuri as she jumped. "It would appear so, along with the cheers from the village. If that is the case, we should wait until reinforcements come to relieve us. That could likely be what Annette's Staravia was telling us." He stood as well, hooking his hammer to his belt in a smooth movement. He approached one of the smaller sized stones, judging its size before pushing with a grunt. With momentum on his side Asmund quickly rolled the stone to the breach. He caught the others gazes as he walked back.

"Any way we can make the breach smaller will make it easier to defend in the future. That and it helps the clean up." He moves to a larger stone and with a greater huff of effort, rolled it to the breach. Beldum helped as it could with its size, pushing some of the smaller stones with its body.

"I ask of you, will you help me with this until the reinforcements come?"

[Heero]

Gabriel Listens to everyone while watching the staravia fly away. "Claire is right, we should stay here until castle guards come to relieve us. good work everyone."

"what is that?" Ivadi asked curious but guarded as the bird pokemon flew to them

[Drack]

Asmund and Nate:

"Yeah, that was some quick thinking with Misty Terrain by the way, really helped us out." Reyn says to Nate.

Peter nods as Asmund as he thanks him. "Sounds good, I imagine there will be plenty of time to get to know each other better in the future."

When Asmund suggests to work on the breach as they wait Reyn immediately steps in to help. "You got it!" He says as Heracross helps him move one of the larger stones. The others all join in shorty after working together with their Pokemon to try and close the breach.

Gabriel:

"Right let's keep up the good work!" Graham says after you speak and everyone goes back to moving the stones to block the breach. It's not long after that the breach begins to close after everyone's combined efforts.

"Looks good, I doubt anyone will be getting though that any time soon." Cassandra says with a huff.

"Yes, we probably should of lead with this strategy." Clair says with a grumble.

Ivadi:

Everyone suddenly stops their banter and jumps up to their feet in attention to the bird Pokemon as it swoops down towards the party revealing itself as a Staravia, the Pokemon cries out at the group before flying back towards the castle.

"Well, that was odd..." Mia says loudly. "No idea what THAT was about."

"Well, I think that Staravia belonged to one of the Palette warriors. Judging by the cheering from the village it might of been a trying to tell us they fended off the invaders." Ashley ponders aloud.

"Hm, in that case we should stay vigilant in case the enemy has any last second tricks." Victor says watching the Staravia leave.

"Right!" Edea says cheerfully. "Ok, Me, Zelos and Mia should take watch on the wall, as our Pokemon are still in pretty good shape."

"Yeah....that's a good point. Come on Lotad we got work to do." Zelos says with a huff as he joins Mia and Edea as they head back over to the breach with their Pokemon.

Everyone:

After some time and no signs of the Invader's returning you are finally greeted by reinforcements from the Palette forces, who relieve you of your post and direct everyone back to the center of the village. On your ways back the signs of battle are evident everywhere with collateral damage and many of the villagers assisting the wounded Pokemon and trainers.

Once at the town square you are met by Kanbei and Maxwell The duo and their Pokemon appear to sill be in good shape, Kanbei is a bit occupied with directing his troops, so Maxwell greets the group. "Good, I'm glad everyone of you made it through this trial with no injures. Unfortunately, our own victory wasn't as decisive as your own." He takes a moment to look around patting his Spinda on the head. "Nevertheless. we were successful in pushing back the invaders while keeping the damage to a minimum."

"So what do we do now?" Cassandra asks bluntly. "How do you plan to deal with these goons once and for all."

Kanbei stops his conversation and turns his attention to the group. "We can discuss our plans for the Empire in the morning. For now, everyone should take this time to rest and recover. Unfortunately, all of your quarters have been turned into makeshift infirmary in the castle, but I asked Annette and her team to make you some room in the barracks." He then crosses his arms. "For now though, you are free to do as you please in the village."

[Nexous]

Athena, and I help move rock as well. Athena using her psychic powers. Once we all meet up I listen quietly to the report. "A couple things first, there was a woman that we battled. She was able to change her appearance. She made herself look like me and styled all over my allies. Second, and directly related... though her style was no match for the original, her dark type pokemon left me in a bit of a situation. Athena couldn't hit her if she tried. Is there anywhere we can train, so we can learn a non psychic move?"
Once I notice everyone rejoined us I turn to everyone else. "How did everyone fare? Hopefully your battles went as smoothly as ours."
(Me stirring that pot: "Double double toil and trouble, Fire burn, and cauldron bubble. Take my mischief and make it double.")

[Creator_Drake]

Asmund felt grateful that their work moving stones went undisturbed, they had made good progress when relief had arrived. Jacket slung over a shoulder the Metalnian had walked with the other heirs, soon meeting up with the other 12 with Sir Kanbei and Sir Maxie. He nodded with Nate's report.

"Indeed. She was both craft and determined, she escaped after we defeated her group as she had a reserve group in place to help her escape. If the materials can be spared I can write up a report detailing what occurred for tomorrow morning first thing." He nodded in Nate's direction.

And I concur with Sir Nate, Beldum and I too must train to get stronger. Are there any who wish to join us?"

[Heero]

Gabriel frowns at Claire's comment, "Hey what if while we were in the process of rebuilding the wall and we got attacked? We all be tired and our energies spent moving all these stones and we would have lost and the enemy would advance toward the castle. i would rather fight 100 battles until we fall due to exhaustion than lose 1 battle because of a wasted effort to defense. If you have a problem with that Claire then you can join someone's squad."

[Drack]

Gabriel: (Mainly posting this bc I think this should take place before the scene with everyone.)

Clair turns her head as you call her out. "And was leaving two of us to fend off a wave of foes of unknown number, and strength a better strategy?" She says now looking directly at him. "The only reason we are all still here is because the enemies underestimated us, if they all fought Cassandra and Maru at once they would have likely been taken captive by the time you three returned."

Graham then speaks up with a nervous cough. "B-but, during our search we did an old man trapped in the rubble. Not to mention you also did go off on your own also."

Clair's eyes narrow. "I admit I made a tactical risk, Swinub and I went to get the the healing supplies that were ignored in the castle. The ones that allow all of our Pokemon to still be in fighting shape now. You on the other hand, ran off to do a sweep in an area the Palette forces already looked in, and risked the safety of our friends and the kingdom of Palette for...an old man, who could of easily been a spy and ambushed the three of you, putting us in an even more dire situation."

At that point several Palette guards enter the area from the city and make there way to the group. "Good, all the lords here are safe. We are here to escort you to the Town Square to meet with Kanbei." One of them says with a salute.

[Heero]

Gabriel salutes the guard, "Thank you sir." then turning back to Claire, "You forget Graham suggested one of us to head back to the castle to retrieve the supplies and you volunteered. And as for us we scouted the area after the attack was made to find any wounded soldiers or civilians. we had everything under control. Unlike you apparently i have confidence in everyone's abilities to handle whatever challenges that presented itself. Any more issues you'd like to bring up?" looking at Claire sternly.

[Drack]

Gabriel:

Clare's face becomes cold as you speak, she quickly picks up her partner Pokemon. "First of all...I am aware that the idea to go back to the castle was Graham's I was pointing out that I was the one who did it. Next, the Palette forces were surveying the area when we arrived, so it was pretty safe to assume they would of done a sweep, we would haven known for sure if you hadn't run their leader off with your boasting, not to mention they could've helped fix the wall without tiring us completely out."

She pauses for a moment as her glare becomes more intense. "Finally, how dare you to try and throw our allies at me, there is a fine line between having faith in your friends and throwing them to the beasts to die. A good leader knows their comrade's strengths, and weaknesses, and how to properly use them in combat, not throw them at insane odds and hope they can win. I'm sure everyone here will agree, that was a suicide mission for Cassandra and Maru. How about you Graham, do you honestly think leaving only two people to hold a breached wall when an invading army is approaching is a sound strategy?"

Graham looks down staring at his feet "...No."

Clare then marches away from the party "Now, I have nothing more to discuss with you Gabriel."


Everyone:

Maxwell crosses his arms as Nate and Asmund suggest training. "Look, I understand your desire to get stronger, but I would have to suggest that you stay in the walls tonight. We don't know if our foes are lurking out in the wilderness after retreating. You could battle each other at the School Grounds, or perhaps you might be able to convince some of the guards to battle with you."

Kanbei then interjects. "For those not interested in battle you can always take a rest in the bathhouse, get some food, or whatever else going on you can find.

Maxwell looks to be in deep though as Kanbei talks, but then speaks up. "If it is improving your Pokemon's move pool that your after, I am well trained in tutoring Pokemon. There is quite a few moves I picked up as a traveler in my youth. Unfortunately I can only teach one of your Pokemon at a time." (I will add Maxwell's Tutor list to the Ooc this will also include moves that are normally TM's).

Clair immediately goes off on her own without a word towards the barracks. Olivia, Aidan, and Ivadi go off as well into town talking to each other. Reyn and Cassandra both walk up to Asmund. "Did you still want to train at the School, if so we are both in!" Reyn exclaims proudly.

Zelos chimes in inching up to Asmund. "Yeah, if Cassandra and some of the other girls want to train I suppose I can join you..."

Yuri walks up shaking her head. "Really Zelos, you never change...but I'm training too."

You can also see Mia and Peter talking to each other, along with Maru, Ashley and Victor who have also grouped together.

Edea walks up to Nate. "Umm, I would like to train, but I think I should check on Heather and try to help out the recovery effort." She says before starting to walk off.

Graham stands next to Gabriel still silent from earlier, staring down at the ground appearing to be in deep thought as his Pokemon swirls around him.

[Nexous]

As clair storms off I cock my head. "D-did I offend?" I say loud enough to be heard, but not in a prying matter. Once Edea says she is going to check on her friend I nod. "Tell her thanks again for her help, and I am happy for her." I then go to Maxwell. "Could you help train my Athena? Perhaps something good for a supportive role?"

[Creator_Drake]

While Asmund had wished to train outside the castle he understood Maxwell's reasoning. He turns to Reyn and Cassandra as they approach.

"Of course my friend, my words were true when I spoke of wanting to grow stronger." He spoke with a nod, arching a brow as Zelos chimed his piece in, followed by Yuri's retort.

He shook his head. "For now we have 5 people, 6 if Sir Nate joins us later. This should be good." He looked over to the Prince in question who was speaking with Maxwell. Turning he spotted one of the palace guards keeping watch close by. He gestured to the guard.

"Perhaps while Maxwell speaks with Sir Nate we head back to the school grounds, most of us know where it is and it won't take long to get there." He gazed about the group, awaiting their responses.

[Heero]

Gabriel stands there looking at the sky with his arms crossed over his chest...without looking away he says, "Well...i suppose she's right. You look like your deep in thought. Mind sharing?"

[Drack]

Nate:

Maxwell turns his attention to you "Ah, yes I figured you would be interested in my tutor skills. I have something in mind that might help out, but I have to tell you it will take some time to teach your Athena a new move, so if you want I can take care of your Pokemon for you tonight and bring your partner back to you later." He kneels down and softly pats Ralts on the head. "I know you all have been through a lot today, so you should relax...go make some new friends, get some food, or whatever normal kids do..."

At that time you hear Reyn call out to everyone "Hey we are training at the School with some of the guards if anyone is interested."

Maxwell chuckles as he hears Reyn. "Well, at the very least you can cheer on your friends."

Asmund:

The guard moves closer as you gesture to him, looking back to his Doduo. "Of course, I can gather up some of the other guards and meet you at the school, it's the least we can do after everything you all have done for Palette." He says eagerly with a bow.

Reyn nods "Alright that's fine with me, the more the merrier. In fact..." He turns his attention to the other heirs still standing around. "Hey we are training at the School with some of the guards if anyone is interested."

At that point Mia and Peter also approach the group. "Ah, you lot are all training. It would probably be best if we all worked together for the best results." Peter says as he approaches.

"Of course, and it's also for the benefit of Palette too. I'm sure they will be our front line forces if we plan on taking back our homelands, so helping them get stronger helps us. Well, no time like the present they say." Zelos says as he starts walking to the school.

Gabriel:

Graham looks up as speak. "Ah, I was just thinking about our foes...I was wondering if there was some tiny detail they dropped that everyone glossed over, but I just don't think we have enough pieces of the puzzle to know the identity of their leader." He pauses for a moment looking around. "Well, looks like everyone is starting to clear out...so what do you want to do?"

At that time you see Reyn call out to everyone "Hey we are training at the School with some of the guards if anyone is interested."

Graham perks up a bit at that "Well, that sounds like a good idea..."

[Nexous]

"Make sure Athena gets rest too then... I say obviously concerned for my friend. She did aIl the work." I reach into a pouch on my hip and produce a tiny lavender, and rose scented blanket, and a even tinier crocheted ralts doll. "These help her relax. She is a hopeless romantic so any love stories you can thank of would be great for bed time. Just make sure you keep it clean please. I think however I will pass on watching the battles I will miss Athena enough as it is." I say choking up. After that I head up to Maru, Ashley and Victor. "How is it going my *sniff* my friends." I say fighting back tears.
All the while Athena looks slightly embarrassed at the whole situation. "Raaalts raltsee." (No stories.) She says shaking a tiny fist at me.
