I had high hopes for Purrloin too but soon realized how weak they are. I'm a speed freak though all of my Pokemon need to have the first turn, because I don't like waiting for the computer's turn since it makes the grind longer!

What grind? Also speed is nothing without attack power for what you're wanting.

Yeah that's why I loved Lilligant especially. Grind, aka random battles that I would rather not have. Especially the caves. The caves..so grindy. 1 step = battle. O_o

Go to the nearest Pokemart and get Repels. Lots of them.

There are a few that can. Some abilites have that effect even if it's not the main one. White Smoke can do so. Intimidate is the best by far. Sand Viel but only in Sandstorms on the overworld.

No, there are no ability that allows you to reduce the enemy encounter rate... However there is an ability that increases the enemy encounter rate: Illuminate.

However, there are some moves that allow you to end a wild battle (or sending back a pokémon to its owner in a trainer battle) such as roar, whirlwind or dragon tail.

In Emerald Intimadate was given the secondary effect of reducing encounters with Poke five levels lower than either the ead Pokemon or the user of Intimadate.

WEll that's the Team I can manage with Right now. In anycase as I find more pokemon, I'll get more of a variety. Heck, my Pokemon White Team is
- Weavile (Fastest pokemon on Team)
- Zoroark (Decently fast with high SP attack)
- Dragonite (Slow but strong Attack)
- Hydregion (Moderate speed and good SP attack)
- Haxorous (High Attack)
- Vanilluxe (Moderate speed with high SP attack)

Yeah, it seems like Pokemonaces just got started. I would not jump on him just yet.

A little more variety wouldn't hurt though, since you have right now:

-3 members weak to fighting, ice and dragon
-2 members weak rock and bug

Besides some of the choices seem a bit... odd (to my tastes), why having a Haxorus when you already own two pseudo-legendary dragons (Dragonite and Hydreigon)?

There's also moves they know in variety that can help Kaijin. I'm well aware I am at a Type disadvantage and prone to alot of weaknesses, but I have moves to counter said situations. And I do have much more pokemon to chose from, I just mainly use that team since it works. In actual person tp person is when I start shifting

I know that, my team has no electric type member (it used to have an Ampharos, but it was replaced by a Flygon) yet I still have coverage against flying (Ice Punch on both Azumarill and Lucario) and water (Leaf Blade and Frenzy Plant on Serperior).

But I still consider to have a balanced team to be more entertaining and rewarding, A challenge can be nice though (that comes from someone who managed to solo gens I-IV with only a Magikarp ^^).

My team has made quite the huge advance lately (I'm incredibly overleveled, but that's a side effect of my nuzlocker nature I guess...XD).
As of now (I just beat Mistralton Gym) my team would be:

Sieben (Serperior, Male) lvl.55 // Leaf Blade, Frenzy Plant, Coil, Leech Seed
Ouka (Lucario, Female) lvl.55 // Aura Sphere, Ice Punch, Close Combat, Swords Dance
Tiamat (Flygon, Male, Shiny) lvl. 55 // Earth Power, Dragon Claw, Crunch, Rock Slide
Emi (Azumarill, Female) lvl.55 // Aqua Tail, Surf, Ice Punch, Superpower
Vlad (Crobat, Male) lvl.56 // Poison Fang, Air Slash, Bite, Fly
Flannery (Arcanine, Female) lvl.55 // Flare Blitz, Flamethrower, Outrage, Crunch

My team is pretty much permanent, but I'm considering replacing Vlad with either a Skarmory or a Metagross when the time comes. Fire and/or Ground could potentially become a nuisance but I can pretty much counter those two types just fine. ^^

No joke, Skyla's best pokemon is lvl39, you're not just overleveled you're absurdly overleveled!(Hell, I beat the elite fours at that lvl. >_>)

Hm, the only difference with mine is that mine has Heat Wave instead of Flamethrower.

Anyway, I'm currently trying to find something to replace my Octillery because she's too slow and Stoutland because my Arcanine does more or less the same job.

Hmm... Swanna is pretty fast for a Water type and its dual typing is great (save for the x4 to electric). Besides it's kind of neat having a pokemon able to learn both surf and fly.

Hm, Swanna, huh? After looking at its stats as well as its moves, well the stats are okay but the moves it can learn are not very varied, pretty much restricted to Water, Flying, Normal and two or three Ice moves and I already have a flying type as well.

Anyway I'll list my current team so maybe it'll be easier to suggest stuff with the whole team known.

Yeah, I love my Swanna and having Surf and Fly! I named her Elly hehe. I was pretty excited when she evolved from the "ugly duckling" into the "beautiful swan". ^_^

Adamant Gardevoir? I'm sorry to read that... It's a crappy nature for a Gardevoir (good for a Gallade though), since it lowers special attack and raises physical and as most of psychic types its main asset is special attack.

Well... You could always equip a Quick Claw on Octillery since its stats aren't half bad... And water types aren't speedsters precisely... A good choice for a speedy water type would be a Starmie or a Floatzel, since they're probably the fastest you can find in water types.

As for Stoutland if you want to replace him with another normal type, try Bouffalant, high ph.attack, ph.defense, sp.defense and hp... however they're slow as hell...
Another interesting defensive choice would be Drapion, a defensive wall with only an actual weakness is nice... A Gliscor would also be nice.

But it's pretty well balanced as it is now.

Yeah, I actually gave my Octillery a quick claw the moment she evolved but it has the annoying habit of trigering when I want to use payback on psychic and ghost types.


Regarding your suggestions for replacing my Stoutland, those are interesting choices, I'll definitely check those out, I happen to already have a Gligar and a Bouffalant and finding a Skorupi shouldn't be too hard.
