I beat the Elite four yesterday. all but Purlion where lvl 60. Transferred about 6% of pokemon from old white to the new one I have. I've also just caught myself a Reshiram and on my way now to catch an Attack EV Kyurem

I love Join Avenue. I got a place where for 15Kish, you can get a pokemon leveled up for very little work.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
This game should be shipped with a tube of Bengay. I bought a DSi and Black 2 when I went to Washington DC last week (job corps does have its perks), and I've already logged 40 hours. On Victory Road now.
I gotta say, this game's a bit harder than what I expect in a Pokemon game. Though, it's almost like a pretend hard. The difficulty comes mostly from me not knowing what any of these newfangled type combinations are and not knowing what is super effective.
Like my Volcarona, who is Bug/Fire. Ice is neutral effective on her, but I figured it would be super. Not to mention all of the douchbag ghosts that have Dark tagged on with Ghost. Just to be total trolls.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
Well, Champion now... been derping around with the movies again. I also stopped using Zororak (In the little story thing I got going in my head, it went back to N after going into the hall of fame.) So I'm looking for a replacement...
I'd love to snag a Sawk again. I'd rather not use legendaries though.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
Ghost/Dark is typewise the best combination possible (No real weakness, unless you're against a Fighting type with Odor Sleuth, Foresight or a Metagross with Miracle Eye that is...).Dark tagged on with Ghost.
But there are some other nice combinations around.
Water/Dragon (Only weak to Dragon)
Water/Ground (Only weak to Grass)
Bug/Steel (Only weak to Fire)
Poison/Dark (Only weak to Ground)
And we better don't forget about the Tynamo line (Electric type with Levitate as ability = No weaknesses).
Pokémon offers so many ways of owning people...<3
(By the way: Bug/Fire-> Weak to Water (x2), Flying (x2), Rock (x4)... And has resistance to Ice (x1/2), Fighting (x1/2), Bug (x1/2), Steel (x1/2) and Grass (x1/4)) If you need help with typings just let me know.
Feathers,August 16th, 2014And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
Well, I've been on again, off again with White 2 (especially now that I've got the new Harvest Moon game), but I figure it's time to start working on a team. Or at least, plan one out toward the end-game. I... might be a little early in doing that, of course. Currently, my team is as follows: Dewott, Flaafy, Lucario (Modest/Justified), and Zubat (lvl 18, leveling it up now). Other than Zubat (which has a Soothe Bell on, so it should evolve to Crobat shortly after evolving to Golbat), average levels are 25-27. A friend of mine traded me a Larvitar, which I think I'll use to replace a Baltoy I was going to use against Elesa (which is basically where I'm at in the game right now). I've also got a Druddigon from Dream World (Adamant/Mold Breaker) at level 25 that I recently removed from the team (attack's nice, but most anything else is pretty poor).
Any recommendations as far as which pokemon just won't cut it as time goes on, and what to replace 'em with? I don't plan on doing a whole lot of trading to get pokemon, the Larvitar was a surprise to me yesterday. I was considering trying a Flareon for in-game usage (never for any sort of competitive battling, of course), since I haven't used one since the RBY days, but I'm pretty open to various possibilities.

My last one was in Pearl- shiny Zubat. I raised it to Crobat and it was glorious. My first one, on the other hand, was a Nidoran F in Crystal.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
I wouldn't recommend you Flareon on White 2 (It would be different if we were talking about Volt White 2 though), since Flareon is a physical attacker however the majority of its movepool is special based (its only physical STAB move is Fire Fang). If you want a fire powerhouse train a Darumaka (it has an impressive physical based movepool that fully takes advantage of its stats) or a Growlithe (the Growlithe line is good at both special and physical attacks).
Lucario being modest... It could be really handy depending on how do you want to use it (since it learns two really nice special based moves: Aura Sphere and Dragon Pulse... and a critical STAB Aura Sphere from a modest Lucario can instill true fear on most opponents), but be aware that most Fighting type moves are phyiscal and so they'll dish out less damage than usual when used by your Lucario (Keep Swords Dance or Bulk Up to make up for that).
About Larvitar... Train it, it will definitely pay off. Its stats will become amazing once he goes all the way to Tyranitar (Is one of the few rock types able to take some special hits), just be aware that Rock/Dark is a combination with 6 weaknesses (including a nasty (x4) against Fighting).
Your team seems to be pretty balanced so far.
Dewott will be a magnificent mixed attacker once it evolves.
Flaafy will be a great special sweeper once it evolves.
About Lucario there's nothing much I can say besides what I've said already.
And Crobat's speed will serve you well as well.
For now you're doing well, just train that Larvitar and catch/train a fire type. Eventually you may consider switching that Crobat for something sturdier (like Skarmory) or stronger (like Braviary) but still Crobat's speed can make up for its other relatively low stats.

Find someone in Japan to trade you a Ditto or any other Pokemon for that matter and breed. I posted vid about Shinies in this thread somehwere.Helios Leinheart wrote:I can haz shiny pokemon plz?

EDIT: I will spoiler the vid here. Watch it all of you. The info will help if you didn't know it.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
I've got a Ditto, just not sure where the breeding ranch is.
---
I beat the Elite Four last night. Kind of disappointing I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong. The epic build-ups to each fight were awesome, and the graphics were cool too. But as for the champion, well...without spoiling anything, I was pretty surprised. It was certainly a far cry from the champion from Gold.
---
Btw, would you care to analyze my team Kaijin? It was my first time through, so I pretty much stuck with my favorites and what I liked. I'd really like to find a Kingler though.
Gothitelle - Female
Scolipede - Male
Samurott - Male (Even if he is my HM whore, he still does alright)
Muk - Male (One of my favorites for being a tank)
Volcarona - Female (Level 59 and special att is at 207)
Swoobat - Female (Got her with double team and holding a metronome, but it's still hard to keep her alive)

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
Sure, let us see...
The first thing that stands out is that your team is too redundant. You have 2 bug, 2 poison and 2 psychic types. A bit of diversity wouldn't hurt much.
Now let's go a bit more in depth, shall we?
-Gothitelle: A psychic type that can can take some physical hits is both an oddity and a blessing, its special stats are also really nice. However if you intend to keep it just give it a Quick Claw since its speed is really low.
-Scolipede: It's a shame that this line is so underrated, it's surprisingly nice it hits HARD and its speed is even higher. I encourage you to keep it, with the proper moveset it can (and will) be your main powerhouse (STAB Megahorn and X-Scissor from Scolipede hurt a lot).
-Samurott: Definitely one of the best water types of its generation, it can do well at both special and physical attacks.
-Muk: It has a HP, Ph.Att and Sp.Def, but you already have better choices in your team since Gothitelle is better at taking special hits and Scolipede hits harder... Besides its movepool is not much fitting (most of the poison moves it learns are special and its special attack is really low).
-Volcarona: The only fire type with a higher Sp.Att is Chandelure and is way more frail than the firey moth. And if that wasn't enough it can buff its stats with both Quiver Dance and Silver Wind.
-Swoobat: I've always considered the Woobat line a watered down version of the Zubat line. Yes, Swoobat is fast but is the only thing that it stands out.
From your current team I would encourage you to keep Gothitelle (unless you're lucky enough to have already/catch a Metagross), Scolipede, Samurott (however if you still want a Kingler you can fish it in Virbank with a Super Rod) and Volcarona.
I would recommend you to to add a defensive tank (you don't have anything sturdy enough to take hits) and a flyer to replace Swoobat (you can teach your Volcarona how to Fly, but since its physical attack is low it would be a waste of a move for it).
For a flyer I would reccomend you Skarmory (and would work as a defensive wall), Crobat (if you favor speed over anything else), Archeops (high Ph.Att and Sp.Att, just be careful because its really frail though) or if you have enough patience you can train a Dratini (it's a shame you're playing Black 2, since you can get a Shiny one on White 2*).
For a tank I would recommend you Skarmory (flying tank), Weezing, Drapion (since you seem to like poison types) or Scrafty (another underrated pokémon by many, but it can take both phyisical and special hits really well).
.P.S.: *On Black 2 you can get a Shiny Gible.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
I'd rather not try to boost my chances at getting a shiny. I want the maximum shock effect when I randomly come across one. It's the reason that I always wear a diaper while playing Pokemon.
I've been using X-Scissor a lot with Scolipede, but I'm still waiting for the Megahorn. Recently taught it Earthquake.
About that Kingler, I don't even know where to find a Super Rod in this game. Or any rod for that matter.
Are you sure about Muk? I've had some good hits with Gunk Shot and Strength. Dig is also nice.
I really liked that Woobat. Oh well.
I've got a couple I'm interested in injecting into the group. Lopunny and Glaceon. First, are either of these a good idea. Second, I don't understand how to get Eevee to evolve into Glaceon. I've never seen any ice stones.

Re: Pokemon Black and White 2
It's the only physical poison move it learns. Sure it's strong but it has little accuracy and unlike other of its kind (Blizzard, Fire Blast, Thunder) there are no combos to raise it.Gunk Shot
In the same fashion you would evolve it in Platinum. You have to level up your Eevee near a frozen rock that can be found on the inner parts of Twist Mountain.I don't understand how to get Eevee to evolve into Glaceon.
About Lopunny is a rather interesting choice is fast, it has good defense and learn some interesting moves via level up such as Return, Jum Kick or Bounce the only drawback I see to that line is that has a rather poor attack.
.P.S.: The shiny dragon is given to you in Floccesy Town if you've met (and beat) Alder's grandchild (you meet him on either Black City or White Forest) and it will always be shiny.
