Phantasy Star IV is one of my favorite games of all time, and PS2 is pretty high up there as well. I always loved the story, the setting, the progression in IV. The graphics were great and even now I still enjoy the music, too. The characters were pretty memorable, they had pretty good backstory to everything and they all tied together very well, in my opinion. Hell, I actually like it more than I like most Final Fantasy games, for that matter.
Now, I haven't met too many people who actually have either played it... or know much about the classic series. Most of the guys who know Phantasy Star at all seem to have got their start with the Online versions (or Universe).
That said, I'm actually considering finding someone to commission to draw a good Rika (PS IV). I've seen a couple of pretty good Nei pics (PS II), but not many at all of Rika. Granted, I haven't sat down to specifically rake through the internet to find 'em, but... well, anyone know a good artist that I can communicate with and might not cost an arm and a leg? Or maybe you know some good pics that I obviously haven't seen?
Oh, and while I'm at it.
I've actually heard that a site for Breath of Fire, dragon-tear.net, is finally gone. Unfortunate, I have to admit. However, I met someone who was looking for a pic off that site: a pic of Nina 1 in an actual dress. Now, I dunno many details about it, be she was saying it was some sort of beta-picture or sketch, probably a piece of concept art. Anyone know anything about something like that? Because I haven't found a thing.
[Sega] Phantasy Star
Anyone remember the classic series?

Re: Phantasy Star
Definitely a great game, it was unique style was and the characters were interesting.
If you can drop me her Japanese name I can try to dig up some pics some time.
As for artist commissions..I really don't know any myself.
Sad to hear about Dragon Tear, that was one of fond memories back in my BoF days when I was looking for Nina art (funny, finding art was SOOO hard back then). Sadly all my pic saves from there is gone. >_<

I believe Rika's name in Japanese is Fal.
I'd actually commission someone like Butter-T, but honestly, he (?) is probably bogged down with commissions, and even if he isn't, I have no clue about the prices he'd command.

Re: Phantasy Star
I remember PS 2 and PS 4...
The main thing I remember about Phantasy Star IV was they tried to put a good mix of funny moments and very serious moments (Grandfather Dorin's mentioning of Alys's measurements, with her RIGHT THERE, Rune's general attitude towards Chaz, how the game dealt with Alys's death...good memories!) and beating Lashiec was INCREDIBLY HARD. Yeah, you want the bosses to be challenging, but YEESH!!!

Re: Phantasy Star
Very nice, Feathers! I've only seen a few of those (and the first didn't load for some reason). That said... well, I think I've got one as well. It's the best one I've managed to find (and off of minitokyo, no less).
This one -could- be Rika, but I believe it's Neifirst from PS2. Or Mieu from PS3? Not sure which.

Yeah that's the only thing, I'm not sure which ones you've seen.

Not a big deal, really. There's not a whole lot that I've seen of her, so I figure at least half of what might be brought to my attention would be new to me.
