I don't think it's possible... Echidnas are viviparous (according to the extra art on her book expansion) and something tells me that larval state sandworms are not small precisely... It could easily be anatomically impossible for an echidna to bear one.

Despite being called the mother of all monsters, there are quite the potential exceptions to that title in MGE, sandworms possibly being one.
