Mari's Mamono Paradise
Well, time to start another one of these.
I'll start with putting some of my sketches and completed works and then as time goes on I'll be putting new works into the thread.
Expressions ahoy!

Re: Mari's Mamono Paradise
It's very good artwork. I might personally not be fond of the design, but I can appreciate the work put into it.

Thanks, I did spend quite a bit of time on it.Helios Leinheart wrote:It's very good artwork. I might personally not be fond of the design, but I can appreciate the work put into it.
What do you find wrong with the design? If you don't mind saying so.

Re: Mari's Mamono Paradise
Glad to see you you found your way here Mari, the final version is astonishing (I believe that Lilim read a Sanbun Kyoden manga, that's the only way to explain her behavior) Just one question, it may sound silly but, your Lilim is also named Mari?
There are those who would scorn good-natured people. Even if God himself will
not show his face, a heartful person will one day take God's place in
visiting Judgement upon them. This is what is known as "Divine Retribution"

It was meant to be my artist avatar of sorts.
She's an artist who travels the world and draws couples and spreads the word to help her mother.
So, say whatever I drew up that were monsters, she would draw in that world. Say of couples and so on.
She's also a fighter as well, and that will tie in to an event I'm going to attempt to hold on pixiv once I'm done making an ad page :p

That's cool! Also, mad respect for a Lilim who is able to use the Kongou Kokuretsu Zan!Maritan wrote:Yeah that's right.

Hey! So you're the one who drew that pic? Cool! I saw it on the boorus some time ago. Great pic, btw.
I also love her expressions, specialy the ''Gah!'' faced one and anger vein one.

Well, I'm not very good at commenting on art so I'll just say that I like it.
And about your character...That's certainly a lady I wouldn't want to anger.

Always did love Akuma, and there's nothing like a punch hard enough to cause the earth to break apart and the heavens to rain down lightning to inspire fear into others.Hood wrote:That's cool! Also, mad respect for a Lilim who is able to use the Kongou Kokuretsu Zan!Maritan wrote:Yeah that's right.

What's in the background wasn't originally there either until after that punch :p
Thanks, it took a while before I made an actual update.Blake81 wrote:Hey! So you're the one who drew that pic? Cool! I saw it on the boorus some time ago. Great pic, btw.

You'll be seeing a way bigger version of the last one soon on pixiv.
I'd agree with you XDOersted wrote:Well, I'm not very good at commenting on art so I'll just say that I like it.

I always see the lilims as calm, so just once I wanted to show what an enraged lilim would look like if you ever threatened some she loved and so on.

Neato, another excellent artist among our ranks, welcome aboard Maritan. Like Blake, saw your OC Lilim back in Gelbooru as well.
Looking forward to your top quality works.

Re: Mari's Mamono Paradise
The many sketches showing each facial expression is both detailed and very well done, I have to say that they really do give the character more feeling and emotion. The anatomy of her body and how it's drawn is spot on, which is something I in particular lack >_>. But anyways, it's all very nice

Never simply settle for a sketch.
You'll improve a lot faster that way.

Re: Mari's Mamono Paradise
So Mari, could we expect more monster types, I would love to see other species with your style. From what you said before, I guess Mari (The Lilim) specialize in drawing happy couples. Also, I'm pretty interested in know who was the poor soul and what did he/she do to piss her off to that extent? (I bet the poor idiot just died from fright alone when she went all Akuma on him/her)

So, I had intended to possibly tie this image to an ad page I was making for pixiv.
A special event you see.
I was thinking of holding a MGE battle tournament (In character of course) on pixiv.
Kind of like a battle fantasia, but smaller.
Artists could draw OCs or regular monsters and draw them fighting each other. OCs could fight each other and it could make an exciting event.

I do have number of human OCs and a monster girl OC. I should post them if I have time to update their conceptMaritan wrote:
