Demon/Dark/Dark Souls 2
Dark Souls 2 has been announced. Too bad the the only information I've found is a trailer.
In other news, while I have managed to beat Demon's Souls twice (damn that Meat Cleaver is nice), Dark Souls has driven me to suicide. Farewell cruel world.

Re: Demon/Dark/Dark Souls 2
Currently playing Dark Souls on PC, I had to bought a controller. But worth it, if it wasn't the terrible framerate and port on the PC, it would be the best game once in the while that I play. This game kinda lighten the "Fire of gamer" within me.
I am not giving up.

You should really start with Demon Souls. It's not an easy game, but it is easier.

It is for console and I don't have one to begin withHelios Leinheart wrote:You should really start with Demon Souls. It's not an easy game, but it is easier.

Re: Demon/Dark/Dark Souls 2
Yeah its just for the PS3PAZ wrote:It is for console and I don't have one to begin withHelios Leinheart wrote:You should really start with Demon Souls. It's not an easy game, but it is easier.
but damn that game was the first game in which i enjoyed PVPing
bastard invading your game when you are playing with friends...
the dificulty was bearable on the first time through then it got doubled on each new game+ you started, going as far as to having new game+++++where enemies would one-hit you with or without armor
(the same thing is implemented in dark souls)
Dark souls...it takes the concept of difficulty, to a more skill based format, but it is still cheap sometimes (damn ornstein and smough)
it adds some areas full of dread
such as the Depths (sewers) with giant rats that can poison you and a vag!na dragon, (just search Gaping dragon on google)
The ruins of Izalith (ruins surrounded by lava and undead dragons
and
Blightown which is just dreadful, its pretty much a swamp, walking in the swamp water, not only slows you down but poisons you and enemies are not affected by any of the movement or poison
while some may say the valley of defilement on demon's souls is the same as blightown, i think i have to disagree because blightown is not only bigger, and with more annoying enemies, but you have to pass through it multiple times in order to farm shards (at least green shards) to upgrade your fire weapons
most bosses can beaten fairly with skills, but the only boss that is truly cheap
are these dirt bags!
two on one whoever you kill first will buff the other, if you kill the knight (ornstein) the other fat bastard gets an electric buff on his hammer, and if you kill the fatty, ornstein will become his size and his spear can hit you across the room
and i had to solo them...yes im a masochist
If you think of me as nothing more than a mere wanderer...you are trully mistaken, because I can destroy the very fabric of your being with the power bestowed upon me.

Re: Demon/Dark/Dark Souls 2
sunbro didn't help that much, specially because he died at the first phase of the fight when i was trying to kill Ornstein,PAZ wrote:lol ask the sunbro for help.
the fat bastard (smough) spammed his nearly unavoidable move where he rushes at you with the hammer and launches you in the air
he did that 4 times on Solaire(sunbro) and killed him

Re: Demon/Dark/Dark Souls 2
He surprised me my first time in there. Then I went in as a phantom to help somebody else and get a feel for the fight. Then I found somebody to aid me and took him out. It was truly a battle of fire VS fire. I was a pyromancer using Quelaag's Fury Sword.Scrapmaster wrote:CongratulationsHelios Leinheart wrote:I beat Dark Souls. Finally.

Like buggery it is.Helios Leinheart wrote:You should really start with Demon Souls. It's not an easy game, but it is easier.
I;ve played both and im currently also most beaten
Spoiler: show
I think in Demon's souls i;ve only beaten the first boss Mabye its just because the controls are sightly less responsive
If I should fall to rise no more,
As many comrades did before,
Then ask the fifes and drums to play.
Over the hills and far away.

well at least you didn't get far enough to experience the skeletons in that game, on shrine of storms, they're basically dark soul's skeletons who can roll with a speed of 50km/h, but demon's souls, they can kill you just by rolling, and armor is useless since poise is not there so they stunlock you
for me dark souls is like demon's souls with more mechanics implemented, you can kick do a blundgeon attack while falling, and they made armors more useful with Poise, where you can take one hit without staggering and being locked in a combo, (it was specially annoying for those using blue blood sword in demon's souls...which i was one of...yeah...)

At least controles won't be so bad the community has to mod the game for it to work with mouse and keyboardPAZ wrote:The sad thing is I am a PC player and the PC version has to be delay somewhere in march after console versionScrapmaster wrote:
