They probably can, it's just not mentioned in the translation. Heck, I think there are a lot monster girls have the ability to turn men into Incubi, but it doesn't mention it in their profile.Theorem wrote:My my... If you are a girl you can change into a succubus when having this kind of Doll.
Why men can't become strong incubus too ? T_T

That fact is actually Canon to the current continuity to some extent or should I say some cause it faster than others. On the old continuity, only if it's stated or they are a clear succubus type.

Boring, unispiring and overpowered, her existence kind of breaks the special oddity that Alices had. A monster that can spawn Alices at ease? (The translation said succubi, but reading it one can fully realize that its talking about Alices actually) One of Alice's key factors is that they're a rare monster... So rare that an Alice birth could be considered a miracle... If now a relatively common monster has the power make Alices, that allure of theirs is lost, since their numbers should skyrocket.
And while having Alices and Living Dolls interacting with each others could have been interesting if developed properly this retcon was pointless (IMHO).
The only thing that saves her? Curiosity, I kinda want to see how does she look without her dress (basically how she's jointed).

My question is... if living dolls are formed from Demonic Energy based on their treatment... what happens if a female Transformer Doll is DE'd? Or something similar?

Nice profile. Maybe from now we'll see more "normal" descriptions.
I don't like when it's all about sex etc. I prefer informations about relationship with humans and their "wild life"

Profile says she changes little girls into succubi ; there's no mention to the Alice anywhere in there(I read the untranslated one, and it says Sakybasu[Succubus], not Arisu[Alice] ).
Just because the one turned into a succubus is a little girl, that doesn't mean she'll turn into an Alice, but into a Lesser Succubus instead, just as with other women. If mind serves, the Alice IS a full-fledged succubus whom simply happens to have a little girl's body that never grows up. So, it would make more sense if those little girls turned into succubi by the Living Doll go thru the standard succubi growth(Human Woman --> Lesser Succubus --> Succubus) process than just turning into an Alice.
Nonetheless I agree with you in the last part. I would love to see how her doll joints look like. I just hope she ain't missing the piece of her lower torso, if you catch my drift.

On another note, did the author really need to turn Living Dolls into some sort
of Jesues? They already warp their preys´ minds by the time the males
reach their very home according to the profile, so that part of the dolls being
able to pull themselves together at night no matter how shredded, torn or burnt
they are sounds very unnecessary (apart from the author´s unwillingness to have
his creatures harmed ).
Regards.
Something like this maybe:Kaijin wrote:The only thing that saves her? Curiosity, I kinda want to see how does she look without her dress (basically how she's jointed).

Re: Living Doll
Greetings
which is kind of odd, specially considering that Golems are mentioned to be a type of
doll and are NOT classified as Ground-type creatures despite the material they are
made of. Anyway, is "Magic Material" an euphemism for synthetic polymers or any
other material which is not expected to be discovered in medieval times?
That´s that.
Now it is done. Thanks.Flare wrote:You may want to rehost that first image there.

Dang...dang... dang... You made me break my self imposed post limiter...¬¬#
As for magical material is most likely a way to refer to any creature that is not organic and has gained a life in an artificial way (since organic creatures that have gained life in unnatural ways such as the skeleton, zombie or ghoul are not listed under such typing)
.P.S.: By the way... Maybe is just me, but I think that materials like mud and rocks were pretty much common in medieval times... Even wood and ceramic were pretty much common back then (in case someone decides to bring up the living doll as an exception)...

Golem's profile was retconned in the next fashion: "Golem Family, Magical Material Type", in an attempt to give a bit more of coherence in the regard you just mentioned (and doing it right for once surprisingly).Somehow, I have just realized this...that these dolls are not classified as Constructs

Re: Living Doll
I need to address something, about "Magical Material type" It's NOT a magical material, it's an Artifact Spirit or Tsukumogami: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=572
The profile even stays true to those details. Infact, this is our Second MGE Artifact Spirit. The first and with the SAME type/family was the Chochin-Obake.
Remember, if it was originally just an object that either had a lot of care or faced cold abandonment, then was given life, then it is an Artifact Spirit/Tsukumogami.

Re: Living Doll
After comparing the Living Doll's Japanese Profile with the Chochin Obake's Japanese Profile, I noticed the family categorization was the same. Though she's not a tsukumogami, she is definitely a construct type. I have reflected this in the translation and changed her family classification from "magic material" to "construct."
Thanks Rez for the catch.

Re: Living Doll
It's hard to give her love since to quite a few people she feels like a great waste of potential (which is a shame since she could have easily been one of the most interesting entries if done properly... And it was fairly easy to do since Living Dolls are really greatful in that regard, there are many forms to implement them in settings and making them look both fitting and fascinating).Time to give this doll some love. Been quite a while.
If you want to give her some love... Well, better resort to fanon (since fans have proven to outdo Kenkou hundreds of times in the past and they will keep doing it in the future)...
