Alex rolled his eyes at the most recent student's boast.
"The weakest dogs bark the loudest."

Alastair smirks at alex's comment then says, "i think i'll go with 4."
Aedan follows with, " 2"
Kyle glares darkly then quitely says "10"
Michael says "7"
Heath grins "11"
Yurli goes with "12"

Damien nods at the 12 finalists then speaks for all, "The finalists have chosen their places...now we chose who duels who. the first duel will be...Kiel vs. Michael! you two come up here and pick a deck...better make it count. The rest of you have a seat." Damien motions them to a set of chairs to the side of the duel field. Michael grins as he steps up to claim a deck. in a clear box sits 12 decks with a button, Michael presses the button and the decks are shuffled around inside until one pops out of the box with a number 11 on the deck box. He picks it up and stands at one end of the field.

Alex remained stoic and seemingly void of emotion as the remaining numbers were called out. It was not long until the first match up was decided and Kiel and Michael were called to the ring. The rest of the finalists were escorted to ring side seats. At least he was being treated with respect by being granted the best seats in the house. He took his place among the other finalists and sat in one of the specified chairs and sat back, wondering what randomized decks these two were offered. Would they have a theme to them, or just a mix match of cards?

When I'm called I step up, after Michael takes his deck I do the same, the deck box I get having a #5 on it, then I go to my side of the field and speak up "Well, may the best one win." I say to my opponent.

@Kiel:
Michael nods to Kiel, "i'll go first if you don't mind and i'll activate the field spell Realm of light!

Then i set one card and Activate Solar Recharge by discarding 1 lightsworn monster from my hand i can draw 2 cards then the top 2 cards from my deck to the grave and i send Shire, the lightsworn spirit.

wulf, lightsworn beast and monster reincarnation was sent to the grave but due to wulf's effect i can special summon him from the grave!

Next i'll activate Charge of the light brigade by sending 3 cards to the grave from the deck i can add a lvl 4 or lower lightsworn monster to my hand.

next i set one monster and end my turn. also my realm of light now has 2 shine counters giving Wulf 2300 atk."

[Oersted]

"Hrm..." I look at the cards in my hand for a moment before speaking "I'll start by playing the field spell Closed Forest, destroying your Light Realm by game mechanic, after that I'll set a monster and another card face down, finally I'll activate Yellow Luster Shield and end my turn."

(You forgot to mention what were the 3 cards sent to the grave by Charge of the Light Brigade.)

(Oops sorry it was mirror force, judgement dragon, and light spiral.)
Michael frowns as his field spell is destroyed then draws, "Well damn...alright then i flip summon Ryko lightsworn Hunter in atk mode to destroy your facedown spell or trap. got a counter?"

I shake my head "Nothing I can do." I watch as my face down card is destroyed before asking "What next?"
(The face down was Mirror Force, and BTW you can't flip summon in def mode, flip summoning puts the card in atk mode, unless they changed the rule that is.)

(right then i fixed it.)
He smirks, "i discard three cards from the top of my deck from Rykos effect then summon Aurkus Lightsworn Druid in atk mode!

Then i shall have Wulf attack your face down then Aurkus and Ryko attack you and end my turn. at the end of my turn is send two more card from my deck to the grave by Aurkus."
(the cards sent were Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior, forbidden chalice, Solemn Judgment, Celestia, Lightsworn Angel, and Rinyan, Lightsworn Rogue.)

When Wulf attacks my face down is revealed to be a koala "My face down monster was Des Koala, and thanks to Yellow Luster Shield it has just enough defense to fend off Wulf, while neither of us take any battle damage you lose 400 life points per card in your hand due to Des Koala's effect." I smile before continuing "Do you do anything else in your turn or can I start mine?"

@Kiel:
Michael grunts as he takes damage, "No i'm good."

"Alright then, I'll start by summoning Ape Fighter in attack mode and I'll use it to attack Ryko."

[Heero]

@Kiel:
Michael holds up a hand, "AH Not so fast Kiel i activate my trap Compulsory Evacuation Device to send your Ape Fighter back to your hand."

(Sorry for the long wait i was at the movies.)

I frown when my Ape gets sent back to my hand "Tch. In that case I'll set a card and end my turn."
(I would like to say that you never mentioned anything about Michael setting his Compulsory Evacuation Device.)

(look back at my first turn i set one card after i activate realm of light.)
Michael draws, "Ok now since i have 4 lightsworn monsters with different names in the grave i can special summon Judgement Dragon from my hand in atk mode.

Next i'll summon Ehren, Lightsworn Monk in atk mode!

then i will have her attack your des koala and thanks to her effect before damage calculations u can shuffle it back into your deck."

(Oh you're right, I didn't notice it until you mentioned it, sorry.)
"..." I put Des Koala back in the deck and take a deep breath, what will happen next being obvious.

@Kiel:
"Rightn now your open for attack GO Wulf, Ryko, Judgement Dragon, and Aurkus Attack Kiel!"

[Oersted]

"..." I stay silent until Michael's monsters attack me, when the multiple attacks hit me I end up on the ground only to slowly get up a moment later covered in assorted injuries before asking "Are you done...?"
