A Formal Co-DM Request

Basically, I need someone to run a RP for me. I just need someone to use my universe for the basis for this test RP.

What's needed and my Request in bullet point:

- Someone to DM an RP within My Universe, MGE Dash. (I kinda need that DM to describe a few things to me as the RP progresses. I'll get into detail about the particulars if you decide to run this RP.)

- I either need to be involved as a player or an observer.(Similar reasons to first bullet point.)

- Your Free to invite others or have sign-ups for this, but this is basically a closed test RP that serve some specific purposes.

- You need to at least try to familiarize yourself with the details of my universe. Kinda required and would help make things run smoother on the long run. If you think the details are overwhelming in length, just take baby steps on the details. Read portions of it every now and then until you've finished reading up on the universe.(It takes about an hour to read it all, but if you take bite sized reading sessions, it won't seem so overwhelming and can be digested easier.)

The Main reason I Need this test RP going is to run some tests to see how the Universe is practiced as an RP to help accurately fine tune the details as MGE DASH. This could also improve the RP aspects of this universe if I get these tests running. So if anyone would be willing help out, please leave a response or leave me a PM.

A better way to look at it is that I am asking someone to beta test my universe by doing an RP that takes place within MGE DASH. I just want to look at it being practiced as an RP so I can fine-tune the details of my universe to make it even better.

Sadly, the ones that are active are more focused in their own RPs and other things.

So for now, it's just the waiting game and hope someone would be willing to help me out. Thankfully, I designed the universe to also help anyone that wants to immerse themselves within MGE DASH.

Since I've nothing better to do, I guess I'll take up this title of becoming a DM in a setting I absolutely have no idea about. (Don't worry I'll go visit your little MGE+Mega Man world design.)
But I must warn you that my DM-ing may be too dark for the people of TMM to take.

Here's my contract. I need you to sign here, here and here. Also, can you please put a drop of your blood here? Okay there's some fine print in there but the most important is that 'I have the right to drop this whenever I want to'.

I believe the MGED world isn't meant to be "dark" (in general), and it also isn't at ALL little (the topic is quite massive). I'm not sure though, still need Rezeed to comment on that.

The people of TMM are mixed, we have dark, neutral, and light players around here. Flesh is Weak is probably one of the darkest persons here actually, and he's on the staff. ;) Tsar CUBE is quite dark himself (the leader of TMM) as well, being a Dark God, hehehe..

Thats whats great about this place, we have all sorts of people here, TMM ain't that famous, so we don't have like thousands and thousands of members, but each member is distinct and we don't need to generalize people in certain groups, which happens in most sites like this one

MGED, could be dark in several ways, its a post apocalyptic world, where people have to rely on refractors to keep their electricity up, it certainly isn't as colorful as Megaman legends 1 or 2, so it might be allowed to have, some blood,a death of a villain or good guy here and there, but no gorefests or genocide.

Like Kirbie games, they are colorful cute little things, but then comes the final bosses and in most of them you're horrified (specially in the one for the 64)

Having some "Dark" things is always good, not overdoing it is fine IMHO, so there you go Killmoves
If it helps I can handle a lot of gore, being a player of a lot of horror games

Yeah, I think some dark is good and a conflict is help to make a good game/RP/movie/book/etc. in my opinion. Otherwise it's just mundane everyday life in most stable cases. Even as a "Light" based player I have Dark as well as Neutral friends on here. It's fun to learn about different points of view in things and have the maturity to discuss topics. :) After all, without any different points of view, everyone is the same, and that means there is no longer any "dark" or "light" at all.

Personally, I think the Pirate faction has great potential to be dark with their thievery, violent ways of living, and the potential slavery. I never played MML (apart from 30 minutes) so I have little insight on all of the possibilities unfortunately.

I'm curious what KillMoves has in mind myself, because he seems to have clever ideas from what I've seen in just his 100 or so posts.

I guess a sort of digger's guild application being filled out if the person wants to play as a digger, but that's mostly whether if they want to already have a digging crew or meet up with the eventual crew while they do the whole diggers training to get their license.

Aside from that; race, name, birth island or continent(they are free to make up a town or city name of their home.), a choice of two buster parts that power up only one area and does only D rank strength(use list within the setting info that's on buster parts), reason for becoming a digger(again, only for people who want to play as diggers), a description of their flying machine(check the setting info on what they are.), and a brief description of the player. Backstories and indepth stuff about the person should be optional. Honestly, one will really build their own story or get some character development as time passes so backstory could be a little irrelevant.

If the person wants to be a pirate, a jolly roger description since it will be pasted on their flying machines, tanks, mechs. They only really need a discription of what their servbots are like. A description of their main flying machine. Finally, some details about themselves. Nothing special unless they want to delve into backstory or whatever.

That's all I have for ideas on how to approach it or at least the best I can think of at the moment.

Can y'all help me with the store business? Like, what items and their prices are going to appear in Holstox Island and how different will they be compared to Cemetery Island. Are the stores all independent or some of them (or all) are owned by a corporation?

Anyway aside from the Roaming Market, I plan on adding these madda faddas as traveling shops as well although they are quite... different.

El Cero's Enterprises
Specializes on selling Digger equipment which (sometimes) have unique properties like the equipment being able to talk or even manifest. Some properties are rather malevolent like a Buster part will drain your life in exchange for tremendous firepower.

Run by Dirk "El Cero" Willsbury, a swindling merchant.

Varjo's Voodoo Emporium
Specializes on selling Engineer equipment/tools/parts they need and 'trinkets', objects which will amplify or suppress a person's abilities/skills/etc. (usually the former). Will sometimes induce side effects like changes in personality. At worst, it will induce mutations.

Run by Dr. Varjo, a voodoo practitioner.

Sarin's Surplus
Specializes on selling Spotter equipment (do Spotters even have equipment?) and 'usable items'. These 'usable items' range from pills that can be drank or cards that can be activated by brandishing it and shouting its name. The cards can have varying effects like creating activated bombs out of nowhere to randomly teleporting you. Pills have effects that are more focused on the consumer like fully restoring his/her health to reducing his/her health to randomly passing gas.

Run by Dr. Sarin, a mad scientist.

All three stores have a 'Mystery Box' in which you will pay a fixed fee to receive something completely random like a useless Buster part to a very special weapon.

Sound dark? I'll tone it down or remove it if it is such.

If I am allowed, but I'll be observing for certain for the sake of seeing what's needed to improve my universe and what details needs to be ironed out.

To answer the junk shop question, most are independently owned, but it wouldn't be surprising to see some corperations about.

I'll also help out with zenny rates and help give an idea how to price them.

Energy canteens 1000 zenny. Diggers can only have the one so most of the spending on would be on the upgrades. Initially, E-tanks only give a little relief, but the upgrades improve it's potency. It also doesn't require you to drink it all if your vitality/health is not as good as the potency as the current level of upgrade as the e-tank. It will close on itself when you reach peak condition and save itself for when you need it.

Upgrades start dirt cheap, but the price doubles(at first) with each upgrade, when it gets past 10,000 zenny, the price increase around 2000.(in some countries higher, in some countries smaller the increase.

As for zenny rates for buster parts. Keep this in mind. Single area powers have tend to go like this. Ones for the power area are the cheapest, the next cheapest is range, it starts to get more expensive with energy, and the most expensive is range.

For the single area power ups for buster parts use this for an idea.
Around 500 zenny for D rank.
Around 2000 zenny for C rank.
Around 4000 zenny for B Rank.
Around 6000 Zenny for A Rank.
Finally, around 10,000 zenny for an A rank.

For multi area buster parts, that can be a little tricky. I recommend checking up a walkthrough of Megaman Legends or Megeman Legends 2 for an idea on how to price them.

It's mostly depending on how many areas it cover and how potent each area boosts stats.

I know in the games an accessory pack(boosts all areas by a minimal amount) costs 4000 zenny. However, You are free to work it how you like it.

As for the very special weapon. Try leaving that out(or replacing it with a very special part a engineer could use), it's the engineer of the digger's crew job to make the digger's subweapons/special weapons.(along with managing the POW Suit, making gadgets for them if they have the parts, and management of the flying machine.)

Well as this isn't exactly going to be a long RP I think, probably a test RP, i would think that there wouldn't be something at stake until very late into it

Like the world's refractors all suddenly stop working, raging chaos all around, Or suddenly Giant ancient Reaverbots awakening due to a device and raising hell.

If an RP is gonna be set up, and if it lasts a bit, there has to be something threatening the world, there were in Megaman Legends 1 and 2 once you got late in them, at first the objetive in both was hunting for refractors

If it becomes a long standing RP like some we have in the Role play thread that is, Going for refractors at first is fine

It IS a test RP, but it's going to be treated like a full fledged RP for testing purposes. As for the refractors, they are self powered, a sorta like a chaos emerald. The mother lode makes them. So the best with the refractor thing is to see reaverbots go out of the way to try to break them.

I mostly need to see how well it can run with someone else trying something(like a RP or Fic). Any snags or issues during it's run and it will help me fix the setting data and aspects of the universe appropriately. However, on the flip side, I can look over the RP and see what I can use to improve the universe to be better.

Okay guys I guess I can reveal to y'all the premise for my RP to receive feedback.

Before the current civilizations existed, the 'Family' has been gathering 'Followers', their fanatical worshipers. It is unknown what their motives are but judging from their actions they seem to only spread chaos throughout Abrolla Omega. No Digger or Pirate are safe from their wrath. Not even Reaverbots.

Each island houses a 'Family Member' and their bases are located within ruins.
Follower technology differs from the technology Diggers and Pirates use. The suits they wear are big and bulky and wield guns and melee weapons that are powerful enough to cut through metal.

No one has seen a 'Family Member'. If there has been one, it is clear they didn't live long enough to tell the tale.

Despite this, there is something far more sinister in works in Abrolla Omega.

Is anyone even interested in joining the RP? It'd be kinda lonely if there were only 2 players.

Well, I'd be interested. Even if haven't mentioned it before I've been a megaman fan for a very long time, legends is one of my favorite game although I could never finish the game due to someone stealing my copy of it. (Stupidly enough by the person who gave it me in the first place.)

Also, Rez, since I'm posting I might as well go ahead and say that I really like this setting of yours, good work.
