That actually sounds... quite likely (specially after knowing that Charizard's are known as Mega X and Mega Y).

Expect possible spoilers coming out, as apperentally some stores in Canada broke the street date, and there copies of Pokémon X/Y out in the wild now.

o_O

What the heck is wrong with me?
moi wrote:Luckily there's something nice out of that bunch of news, a pure fire type starter evolution? a non fighting/fire type starter? That's a godsend, that's a blessing! The only thing that I could make it better is a final evolution being Fire/Psychic! Destroying a Mega Blaziken with a non megavolved fire type? Hell yeah!
Yet another thing that totally called... Am I clairvoyant or what? o_O

Its design is horrible by the way... It looks kind of wizard-ish thing that it fits I guess... other than that is big bad MEH

(By far the weakest fire starer's final form when it comes to design).

.P.S.: Hopefully its skills, movepool and stats (distribution/total) will make up for it.

The starter final evo names and types have been leaked.

Froakie's final evo is called Greninja and is Water/Dark. Chespin's final evo is Chesnaught and is Grass/Fighting. We already know about Fennekin. Game Freak really dropped the ball here...

Water/Dark
moi wrote:Frogue huh... That doesn't sound like a Water/Fighting at all. Since a rogue is far from being considered something honorable or worthy of being regarded as a warrior/soldier/infantryman. Judging by its name it sounds like either Water/Dark or Water/Poison (which is a surprisingly great typing).
Which makes my previous words more solid.
I did it again...

None of the final typings seem to be that impressive (and Grass/Fighting has a nasty quadraweakness to flying to make it even worse), but at least they're original for starter typings and gotta admit that Greninja's design looks absolutely badass (it pulled the same trick that the Oshawott line... from "meh" to "wow")

Maybe I'll ditch Fennekin and choose Froakie instead... I'm used to Dark types thanks to Gen V after all...

They introduce a new Type, and make the Grass and Water starters suck against it . . . but have the Fire starter really good against it (its original type resists Fairy, and its acquired type isn't weak to Fairy; the others don't start weak to Fairies, but do become weak to Fairy attacks in the end). What's up with that?

Really, what's up with that?

Ah well, at least I have Honedge and kin to look forward to . . . as well as the fact that I'm getting a ninja frog, because Water starters forever man.

Why do I get the feeling we'll see a revival of the "I'm the Juggernaught bitch!" meme?

There are always ways to turn the tides even in the direst situations.
Greninja can learn Aerial Ace (there was a screen around the internet which showed that).

Apparently ninja frogs can fly

Meaning that can counter that for double damage (Chesnaught has a quadraweakness to flying).
And possibly the other two will have something in their respective movepools to survive that kind of scenarios.

Absol and Archanine would like a word with you. They want to see you about a common practice that gets made within the series. Rhydon and Nidoking would listen to what you have to say as well, but they are too busy surfing to hear you.

Sorry...I'm way too busy listening my Leafeon talking about that particular issue...XD
(Yeah... I know that Aerial Ace doesn't necessarilly imply being flying type to be able to use it, just like Acrobatics. I was trying to be funny...for once ^^U)

Gallade is officially grounded

Post by Kaijin »

...And... Another mega form joins the roster.

Mega Gardevoir

I don't like that design very much... But oh well... it's not the worst design seen on Gen VI (No... No Delphox... I'm not looking at your disheveled look and your fuckton kilometric ear fur...¬¬), also it sucks to be a Gallade now... its girly counterpart gets a new typing, a new (and awfully gaudy) mega form while it gets... nothing.

Hmm...I'll judge for myself once I get my hands on the game a week from now or so.

But I don't really mind this version of Gardevoir, it kinda makes her look more eloquent

But I can also tell just the weird pics I'll find online now that Gardevoir's red chest thing has doubled >_>
