Does anyone here have a Crygonal. If so can you be as so kind as to bree one please? Finding one of those guys in the frost cavern is near impossible >_<

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Now that you mention it... A Electric/Fighting would be a nice combination to have around (a Fighting type able to deal STAB supereffective moves against Flying while being able to survive Fighting type attacks (unlike Terrakion)).
.P.S.:
.P.S.:
By the way am I the only one who pictures Mega Cryogonal as Ice/Ghost?Here's hoping for a Mega Crygonal

Does anybody know the Natural Gift types of the three new Berries yet? Kinda surprised nobody's done anything with that yet.

The mega stone for Garchomp is in Victory Road if I remember right while the one for Tyranitar is in the rock gym, but only in X, in Y you get the stone for Aggron instead.The--Flesh--is--Weak wrote:Anyone know where the Mega Stones for Garchomp and Tyranitar are?

I think the last one I got was a mad late-in-the-hour dash for the Banette Mega Stone.
. . . is it wrong that I like Mega Banette for its access to priority Destiny Bond?

Part of me after seeing Mega-Gengar and Mega-Alakazam made me wonder about a Mega-Machamp. He'd have six arms the fins on his head more pronounced and look like a angry god.
Probably wouldn't be heard by Nintendo though since mega-Volcarona isn't possible.

FINALLY! After asking for so long with no help I finally found the Natural Gift types for the three new Berries! I'll link the pages that helped me out. Smogon was useful for once.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
That's pretty neat, Jinouga. This gen's been rather interesting with how, unable to just rip out the necessary info from the game itself as in days of old, the major contributors of information (and many less-major ones) have had to resort to plain-and-simple testing in a manner not unlike proper scientists (hypothesis, tests, tests, more tests, draw conclusions and/or go back to drawing board). (Yes I know that's not the scientific method verbatim, but it's the gist.) In that vein, it's nice to see that some 'independent research' has been conducted by fans (if that Roseli Berry topic is anything to go by) -- I remember such testing also being the method by which Dragalge's Hidden Ability was confirmed (thanks to how The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard, at least one showed up in either the Maison or Chateau I forget which).
However, time now to take a sharp left turn into two Mega-related things.
First, if The--Flesh--is--Weak has yet to locate the Garchomp stone yet (understandably enough, considering it's Victory freakin' good-gods-was-it-always-this-LONG Road), I can say that it's in the larger outdoors area behind an area with a wall you need to Rock Smash through from the right to get to, at the foot of a tower. Took me a good half of the hour to track it down (read: to bumble about trying to find it before I broke down and punched up a visual guide in frustration).
And second, funny you should mention M-Blaziken being Uber tier, Pokemonaces, because there is now another Mega thrown into Ubers as of recent days with a quickban by Smogon (following the earlier quickban of M-Gengar): Mega Kangaskhan.
Understandably so, when you see some of the details on WHY people were clamoring for its quickban -- good gods, that thing could get scary -- as well as the actual 'Kangaskhanite is now banned' post. Sure, me linking all 3 might be a touch redundant, but it's interesting to hear various points from various sources, even if some (like, for example, Parental Bond) are bound to be run into the dirt.
I do hope that nobody here was planning on running one of those competitively if only because now such a person will most likely have a rather gaping hole to fill in their team, but as much as the lady needed the M-Evo I'm not sorry that it's been moved to Ubers . . . 'cause, well, there's always casual/in-game play (e.g., Battle Chateau) to fun about in, and some of the points raised in the pro-ban arguments were rather convincing (to me at least; what do you all think of all this?).

ore info for Pokemon Bank has been shown. Seems you can get BP or PokeMiles from it. Also Brigette from the Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Box has returned with a new design much to my dismay....

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
BP for keeping Pokemon stored? Yyyyyyyeeeesss, now stuff like the Assault Vest isn't so out-of-my-reach.
As for Brigette's new design . . . the only bit I don't like is that pair of obnoxiously-lime shoes. Maybe if they were a different color or something I'd be less critical, but I much prefer her original footwear. As it is, though, all I can think of is Mario Batali's crocs -- those lime-green shoes are the orange crocs of the Pokemon world, I just know it. She's probably got 200 of them stashed away in a closet somewhere.
Ah well, there are worse eccentricities to have.

Pokemon bank has been delayed until further notice due to extremely high traffic.
There's also this.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Though I know you can't see it by default, lemme just say congrats on the female Froakie; with how starters' gender ratios skewed, it's always an auspicious start to net a female one; here's hoping the rest of the fortune is as good.
On a different note, how many folks here are exploiting the Natural Objects? I myself am getting started on farming berries and, well, while they're not (all) used for mutations there are a good few berries that you can get via the Natural Objects -- among other assorted valuables, up to and including Stardust.
There's a few moves to look out for that'll be able to do this job, and while I won't spoil what moves you can use on what to get some of the more valuable things (Bulbapedia and Serebii both have good lists, the latter of the two also having pictures of most of them), I think a note of the moves that can beat up berry trees will be at least appreciated, and will give those who're interested a taste of just what the mechanic has to offer; the moves in question include Air Cutter, Blizzard, and Twister -- fitting, isn't it, that most of it is strong winds? In any event, this somewhat short list is in particular good news for those of you who are fans of various Dragon-types, those who enjoy fishing, and those who like birds and bats (e.g., Pidgey and Zubat).
Most notably, if you're interested in full-on farming these Berry Tree natural objects, a good Pokemon to shoot for is actually a Wingull, which isn't too hard to get your hands on. Naturally learns Air Cutter (as Wingull, notably, so break out your Everstones), can be taught Blizzard via TM, and if you let it get freaky with a Horsea (hence 'those who enjoy fishing') it can pick up Twister as an egg move; PP shortage in your farming endeavors will hardly be a problem, leaving you only the task of picking what routes you want to farm at.
I won't spoil where to find them, other than to say that different locations actually offer different colors of berries -- which will in turn affect what the trees will drop once you've dropped the opponent (you don't get the item if you catch the Pokemon, word of warning) -- and I encourage you to try in many different locations (they don't appear in every battle, but they're frequent enough)!
I hope that this post has informed some folks and given some others a little more to do in the admittedly-shallow postgame, and wish you all a rather-belated Happy New Year!

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Boy... I love the Wonder Trade <3
I got quite some nice choices really early in the game (A modest (Japanese) Amaura, a Gligar a (Spanish)* Charmander and a (German) Riolu before getting to Santalune** and a modest Espurr before getting to Lumiose).
It's a shame that I won't be able to evolve Gligar until the postgame, if not I would train him ASAP.
Current team (I just got to Camphrier town):
Mizuki (Froakie, Female, Serious) lvl.20-> Water Pulse, Lick, Smokescreen, Quick Attack
Combusken (Combusken, Male, Timid) lvl.22-> Ember, Double Kick, Peck, Hone Claws. Blazikenite
Kami (Pikachu, Female, Modest) lvl.19-> Electro Ball, Quick Attack, Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave. Light Ball
Speedy (Fletchinder, Male, Bold) lvl.20-> Peck, Ember, Quick Attack, Agility
Gaia (Ivysaur, Female, Relaxed) lvl.18-> Vine Whip, Take Down, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder
Amarus*** (Amaura, Female, Modest) lvl.22-> Aurora Beam, Rock Throw, Return, Thunder Wave
Combusken and Speedy are temporary due to their natures (a nature that lowers attack is bad news to both of them) and Kami is still there thanks to both her nature and her light ball (I really lucked out with her). But I'm thinking to train to that Espurr (a modest Espurr is really nice to have around) and Charmander.
.P.S.:
*The game recognizes pokémon by Language and not regions (If you were to trade a Pokémon with me it wouldn't count as Spanish)
**I play in English (Due to Nintendo Spain's poor job at translating games)
***Japanese name for Amaura (I call her "Diplo" even if the game doesn't let me do it officially)
Daddy's little MVP <3

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
I might as well show everyone my current team.
Hinoko (Delphox, male, gentle) lvl.54, with Mystical Fire, Flamethrower, Psyshock, and Psychic
Bulby (Venusaur, male, mild) Lvl.54, with cut, solar beam, synthesis, and petal blizzard
Bella (Raichu, female, docile) lvl.54, with strength, thunder shock, electro ball, and thunderbolt
Bo (furfrou, male, hardy) lvl.55, with Sucker Punch, Bite, Retaliate, and Hidden Power
Luka (Lucario, male, Hasty) lvl.53 with Power-Up Punch, Low Sweep, Quick Guard, and Aura Sphere
Laparas (Laparas, male, docile) lvl.54, with Sheer Cold, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, and Surf
I'll be quite honest, I was a little brain dead when coming up with Lucario's nickname, but "Bulby" is just the name I nickname any bulbasaur I get, in every game I get them. I guess you can say it's like a tradition, for me. I couldn't come up with a nickname for laparas, because I just seem to have trouble coming up with nicknames for male laparases.
To be honest, I'm not good at playing strategically. I don't know much about EVs, IVs, and all that stuff. I just play the game and have fun with it. I'd like to know more about EV training, and such, but every guide I read, every video I watch, and every explanation I hear from friends, just don't seem to help. I do pay some attention to pokemon stats, to see what the pokemon specializes in, but that's pretty the most I can get out of it. I don't know much about personalities, either, so I don't know if my pokemon has an ideal personality type, or anything. If anyone is able to explain to me all of it in a way I can actually understand, I will love you forever! (Well, in all seriousness, I would really appreciate it.)
