I would of expected for an actual released game, but this is purely in the conceptual stages, hence why I am amazed. To be honest I had never heard of Kickstarter until M#9. The power of fans at work!

GTA V didn't have a kickstarter

its just that when it got released, in a mere 3 days it already got 1 billion dollars in money from the sales, which by itself is to show how much of a fanbase it has, I just used it as an example

Megaman has kinda that fanbase, but not as much as it had in the last era, some people have given up on it, but those who didn't have donated to this with hope in their hearts that they'll get their beloved blue bomber back.

And i gotta say, im proud for donating 40 bucks to its kickstarter XD

You forgot to add the $186,380 from the PayPal donnations. They did it; they wen't beyond 4 millions, they've just become the 3rd most funded Kickstarter videogame in history!!! And that's no small feat....

Yeah I supported as well. 120 smackers for that art book, beta access and all those other goodies. I kinda have high hopes for this as I was among the 100,000 Capcom fans who wanted Megaman Legends 3 to follow through at Comic-Con. Hope still rides alone but this might be the thing to put hope back.

On another news, Inafune-sensei admits to have some fear that C(r)apcom will attempt to sue him and Comcept in order to get a big slice of the donation's bucket.

However, it seems that most of the internet agrees in that if C(r)apcom did that, they wouldn't only be royaly defeated, but would also have destroyed the few remaining scraps of their reputation, which will be pretty much a One-Way ticket to corporate suicide for them. And, if by some kind of demonic gambit(Or bribes, which is far more plausible) C(r)apcom managed to win against Comcept, I can already see the hordes of bloodraging, berserk fans setting their offices on fire....

Darn... I'm jealous... I could only donate 40 $ (But oh well... thanks to that I could find some spare money to fund another project after all...^^).
I had no doubts that they will get all the money needed and I have no doubts that Inafune and his team will put all that money, faith and hopes to good use.

Even friends I showed the vote picked F and they NEVER played MM games so it proved to me that people didn't pick her because of the Roll resemblance (I honestly didn't even know who Roll was until Jin told me her name recently). F just has the best mix of "Cute and tomboyish", as my female friend put it, and I agree with the opinion.

I voted G. I'm not gonna vote E, and F... meh. Too 'Ciel' for my tastes (honestly, that's Ciel, not Roll). I'll go with H. At least I like that art style. Now, if they can just alter the trio to fit with Beck's art style as well before it becomes time to vote again, that'll help a bit.

I backed with $65. Yeah, odd number, I know. But it was what I could afford to give. At least I get the whole digital tier stuff, with the OST and the art book/strat guide.

Wonder what Kenzo(Or maybe that's Haruhiro) Tsujimoto means by ``Dead IP´. Or maybe it's``Dead 1P´´? Either way, this pic made me tear up a bit, specialy after seeing Nina 2 and Zasquatch in there as well. Yet, I couldn't help but LOL at ``Not Rush´´.

Ciel is supposed to be a teenager actually (the art style makes her look loli-ish), she was an actual loli by the time she created Copy X (several years prior the events of Megaman Zero).
Ciel is a pettanko, just like Leviathan.

Actually, Beck will be getting a sidekick of some sort. That was what the 3.1 million stretch goal was for. Not Rush was a concept design from the original drawings for Call, the sidekick ('not-Rush'), and the doctor(s). Since it looked a bit like Rush, just blockier, people just called it 'Not-Rush', since there isn't an actual name for the sidekick.

And yes, I lament the inclusion of Nina 2 in that comic as well. Though honestly, and I must say it... with the upcoming 'social BoF', it's only fitting.

I voted for H design in order to add a bit more diversity and originality (I love F design too but it's way too Roll-ish), besides it has a strong retro vibe that caught my interest (she could easily be in an early 90s or late 80s cartoon (or anime) with such design).

But I'm sure that F will be winning though... Not that I'm complaining... People loves Roll...and I'm a sucker for green eyed girls.
