With Fi that makes 7 known playable characters then. Also seems Link and Zelda are getting Skyward Sword costumes and the ball and Chain weapon from Twilight Princess will be in the game.

A sword doing the actual fighting? That sounds... "nightmarish"
Oh well, I'm sure that people will welcome this addition rather well, Fi had quite the fanbase after all.

To be honest, I'm a little torn between being interested in this game and not caring about it. On one hand, I'll admit, I'm a fan of the Zelda series, and find the idea of a bunch of Zelda characters together in something other than Super Smash Bros. to be pretty neat. Hell, it even has Midna now, her being one of my favorite Zelda characters. On the other hand, I reaaaally do not enjoy Dynasty Warrior style games. They can be fun for a little bit, but after playing a while, they just get so boring and repetitive in my opinion. Still, I will be keeping an eye on Hyrule Warriors. Maybe it'll change my mind in time.

Funny, you seem like the kind of person who'd be fine with a Honedge.Kaijin wrote:A sword doing the actual fighting? That sounds... "nightmarish"
Anyways, I want this game, but a Wii-U escapes my grasp...

She's pretty graceful with her battle style. This is certainly interesting.

I just saw a ''Playable Midna'' and that was I ever needed...
And now I must take my leave; have to go to the bank as I ran out of money to throw at the screen.
If only they did a PC version of it for Steam, I could die happy....

Blake late to the party but better late than never. Ya I missed MIdna, at least some developers realized her greatness. Now if NIntendo would get off their blind face and make her playable in Smash, they would be rolling in even MORE gold and rupees!

Re: [Wii U] Hyrule Warriors
Sheik, Darunia And Princess Ruto from Ocarina of Time have been confirmed for Hyrule warriors as playable characters. I totally called it and I was hoping other races would be playable.

Men, we led those dumb bugs out to the middle of nowhere to keep 'em from gettin' their filthy claws on Earth. But, we stumbled onto somethin' they're so hot for, that they're scramblin' over each other to get it. Well, I don't care if it's God's own personal anti-son-of-a-bitch machine, or a giant hoola hoop, we're not gonna let 'em have it! What we will let 'em have is a belly full of lead, and a pool of their own blood to drown in! - Sergeant Avery Johnson (Halo)

Honestly this game may be a sole reason why I buy a Wii U.. plus it helps they're finally getting a lot of good games coming out within the year.

What, no Nabooru announced, yet? I'm disappointed, she'd fit perfectly in this game. Though, of course, there's still plenty of time for more characters to join the fray.Rezeed wrote:Sheik, Darunia And Princess Ruto from Ocarina of Time have been confirmed for Hyrule warriors as playable characters. Interesting how the Wii U getting all these games. At first, I feared that the Wii U wasn't going to last very long, as I thought it wasn't going to get much support or be able to compete with the other 8th gen consoles.

Re: [Wii U] Hyrule Warriors
Nowadays, nintendo just seems to own the hype train which is why I refer to this game as HYPErule warriors.
I am hoping for her as well, but I am just as interested in seeing Ralph, the embodiment of one of the cane sages(Cane of Byrna for example), A kokiri, a member of the swiftblade family, Vaati, and Link's uncle or at least some establish family member.

Re: [Wii U] Hyrule Warriors
It appears they have done something new for the first time in zelda history........
Link now can speak actual words(When he does his spin slash charge up, he says "STILL~!" rather clearly). Fi and Midna also seems to be able to speak full sentences in game based on the most recent trailer.

Re: [Wii U] Hyrule Warriors
That's interesting. Nintendo for the most part goes for the silent protagonist archtype with its characters, Link be one of the definitive ones. Since they're taking a new direction with the game, might as well go the mile and break tradition, right?Rezeed wrote:It appears they have done something new for the first time in zelda history........
