Hey everyone, if your interested in knowing. A new event involving a Vivillion with a special pattern that's exclusive is being offered on the mystery gift. Just have wifi and you get a Vivillion that's level 12 and a event pokemon that's unique.

Quick question for anyone willing to provide an answer: You've been given the opportunity to become a gym leader, but you must specialize in a specific Pokemon type (like most gym leaders), what type and what's your team (along with any other details you feel like providing)?
Spoiler: show
I'm curious because I may make a Ground-type team for the rest of my current Pokemon X run

Flying Feathery team all the way. Doesn't matter which. :) No legionaries though. I don't know enough Pokemon anymore to name them though sorry. If I remember some I will post later.

Hm I really like fighting types, but also love bug types. I think it'll be a fighting gym though. Yes I have two starters but since Gardenia had a turtwig I say its okay to have starters.

Here, have a list of them. :D

As for me, it would have to be fire. Hell, I've been building up some good fire-types in Y as of late.

Though I do wonder, would having a off-type or two be ok? After all, Blane did have a Rhydon in the anime after all, and Koga had scyther and voltorb as well.

If I was a gym leader I would specialize in ground types, because:
Nidoking,
(mega)Garchomp,
(mega)Swampert,
Golett,
Torterra,
and Zygarde (if I could)
As you can see I just want a big monster team to satisfy my inner five year old.

I'd be a gym leader who specializes in water pokemon. But since I also am equally fond of dragon types, about half of them would be dragon-like. My team would be as follows:

Gyarados
Milotic
Kingdra
Starmie
Swampert
Lapras

I'm going ghost or dark as the designs for them and the entries on them make them seem evil or sad or both.

Ghost Team:
Spiritomb
Drifblim
Aegislash
Golurk
Giratina if possible
Gengar

Dark Team-
HonchKrow
Krookidile
Houndoom
Tyranitar
Malamar
Greninja

Mega Altaria(Dragon/Fairy)
You made my day (and here I thought that staffers never said sweet things to me...)

Artwork time <3

Mega Altaria

.P.S.: And a bit of extra news.
Apparently the Pikachu costumes seen a few pages back (and mistaken by alternate forms a few pages back), will be able to make learn Pikachu an extra move.

Rockstar Pikachu will learn Meteor Mash.
Scholar Pikachu will learn Electric Field
Superstar Pikachu will learn Drain Kiss
Aristocrat Pikachu will learn Icicle Crash
Luchador/Masked Pikachu will learn Flying Press

Image
Proof
And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.

I honestly don't know how to feel about Mega Salamence. Its new look certainly is...different. Also, what up with all the pikachu costumes? I know pikachu is basically the unofficial mascot of Pokemon but isn't it a little much?

Which is ironic, the creator's favorite is Poliwhirl and it gets no attention since Gen 2 (when it was give an alternate evolution).

Hmmm yeah, you've got an incredibly valid point there. Pikachu got its anime voice instead of the trademark growl, will get a spin-off game on its own and now Gamefreak grants it a bunch of costumes that unlock moves that Pikachu will never be able to learn naturally, nor by tutoring, inheritance, TM... any way at all.

Maybe "Kiiro nezumi" (yellow mouse) will get some usefulness after all this time (Meteor Mash can make an Adamant Pikachu quite decent).
And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Poliwhirl was the creator's favorite. But yeah its no surprise Pikachu gets all the attention. He's pretty much been the mascot for the franchise from the beginning.

Also I kinda like Mega Altaria, but then again I always liked Altaria. It was unique despite being the somewhat overused Dragon/Flying type. But that Dragon/Fairy type though...

I've basically waited for that to happen since I knew what Fairy could do and now I have my wish.

Mega Lopunny has ripped stockings. And I've already seen fan art of her.
