yeah...scott has a twisted sense of humor...and yes it is out...funny how he "gave" a few youtubers early access...to a demo and had them promote said demo to come out tomorrow...only for the FULL game to come out today...well played scott, well played.

I'm avoiding any and all videos and even trying to not read reviews. I don't want what happened with the original to happen again. That is, I pretty much had the entire game spoiled for me before playing.

There's plenty to spoil. I'll give you a perfect example. Me and my buddy just played the game for the first time today. We went into it completely blind. So I wasn't expecting...

there to be more animatronics than just Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and their replacement models.

If I had known from watching videos, it would've made the scare I got less impactful.

the puppet which insta kills you if you don't wound up the music box, there the new chica,bonnie and freddy, bonnie and chica are how they were in the first game, their old versions are pretty much the same as well, with the exception that you need to be COMPLETELY still when they appear in your office for them to go away, putting the mask on immediately works too, but if you stay still when old bonnie attacks in the office he won't attack you.

Foxy and new foxy, both of which stay in the hall, all you do is flash your lights at them so they go away apparently.

but now hers the worst of the lot.

BALLOON VENDOR BOY you know that little balloon kid? yeah he fucks you up too, he doesn't kill you, however if he manages to get into your office and stay by the door, its game over, he won't get out and he will DISABLE ALL YOUR LIGHTS, you flashlight and vents, thus prompting foxy to come kill your ass because you don't have a light to stop him.
he can however be countered if you spot him in your vents I think, you spot him, maybe put on your mask or something, and he goes away.

This is a prequel that takes place during/before the bite of '87 with old robots in worn out shapes and are being scrapped for the newer ones to be more friendly looking to the kids. During one of the later nights, Phone guy calls about police investigating something and that someone used a Golden Freddy suit to do things... Then there are these easter eggs that have people spouting out rumors of what really went on.

You know, putting together the clues... in 5NAF2, you're either the killer mentioned in the first game, or were planning on it at least. Now, I'm going to do a quick copy-paste here, because it's basically the same thing I'm thinking, and it just saves time. Now, I should stress that this isn't fact, pretty much all theory.

You apply for a job, you have been planning on killing several children for a while now and there is a job opening at a local children s eating establishment. You jump at the chance to go there and right away you are supplied with a suit to keep the animations from hurting you (though they never actually harmed the man before you, because he wasn't a predator) now you come and you actually need the suit because the animations are now trying to harm the predator that is in the building. You make it though, and you survive until the point where you are moved to day crew. with everything set in place you now go to take the first kid, but foxy tries to stop you, you move and foxy latches onto a kids head, causing the bite of 87 along with the irreparable damage to foxy. after this incident, you try again and this time you succeed. the new night guard, aka Phone Guy, would have had the capability to save the children, but he didn't know about it so now the children's souls are after the life of the man that could have saved them but didn't. Your note of termination says you tampered with the animatronics, referring to the killings. And then, when the new store opens in FNAF1 and the security guard finally comes back, he is sought after by the souls of the children, which control the animatronics. Phone guy gets caught on his fourth night and stuffed into golden freddy, and because mike had the chance to save him but was unable to, he is now being perused by phone guy.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is in fact a prequel. Not saying anything beyond this: The Phone Guy confirms it and he does so on one of the Nights.

So there may or may not be a third game coming. Scott hasn't directly said anything, but with all the hidden things he's put in the first two games, it's not very surprising that he would reveal things in a special kind of way.

The information in the spoiler below is retrieved from the Five Nights at Freddy's wiki, on Scott Cawthon's page, in the trivia section. Now normally, I wouldn't trust wikis for my information. HOWEVER, some of the things it mentions are things I've actually SEEN myself, from Scott's website, so I have a feeling at least SOME of it may be accurate.

After the release of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Scott removed all information from his official site and replaced it with an image of the word, "offline." Over the next several weeks, his website began to show signs of life:

As of November 16, 2014, Scott's website only displayed the site header and the word "offline." Brightening the picture shows small text in the bottom left corner of the image saying "until next time." When viewing the image's code, one could find that the alt-text read "soon."
This "soon" was removed on December 8, 2014, but was re-added the same day - likely a mistake.

On December 6, 2014, when brightened, Scott's website had a very large number three on the bottom right. This is possibly hinting at a third installment to the Five Nights at Freddy's series. The same day, however, the large three was removed from the bottom right, leaving only the word "offline." This third image did not include the words "until next time," either.

On December 7, 2014, the 3 was re-added. Furthermore, when viewing the page's source, it displays the keywords of the page as: "five, nights, at, freddys, 30 years later, only one." Earlier versions read "20 years later," and "only one left."
As of December 9th, 2014, the 3 was removed and replaced by a "Merry Christmas!" message below the "offline" text. The page's source has also changed to say "five nights at freddys, taking a break, Merry Christmas everyone! " instead of "five, nights, at, freddys, 30 years later, only one". The "soon" alt-text has also been removed again.

Scott's website was updated on December 14. At the bottom, Scott warns about impersonators: "This is a just friendly holiday reminder to not believe everything you hear. I do NOT have a twitter or twitch account. Only believe information from my official email, my official youtube account, and my official website, Scottgames.com. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!".

Now, I'm gonna state the obvious here, but here are my thoughts about how the third game may be like.

So it seems that it's ANOTHER remake of the restaurant, but 20 or 30 years later, so probably somewhere close to present day. From the tags that were on the source, Freddy must be the last animatronic. Now, I have a couple theories on how the game might end up. It might be not as hard, because there's only one animatronic to watch for, or it may be even harder, as Freddy might have some way to keep you on your toes. It may be even scarier, or just as scary, as you have one demonic and probably REALLY angry animatronic after you, who may be even more powerful than before because of the closer to present day technology.

Hm, interesting. If that is the killer like the rumor says, then boy did HE stick around. Even if he escaped death penalty somehow, there's no way he should still be alive in the third game, unless if 1: It ends up being another prequel, and Scott's trolling his gamers once again, or 2: the killer isn't alive, and he's haunting the place, instead of his five victims.

Also, I find it funny how on his website, he says this:

This is a reminder to not believe everything you hear. Only believe information from Scottgames.com!

As if he's trying to keep people from believing that a third game is coming out, but with all the hints he's given on his OWN site, that seems near impossible. He's a man of games and trickery, it seems.
